The chairs and table and surrounding glass were splattered with bird droppings, there weren’t enough cushions for the chairs and those that were there had seen better days. One of the dining room chair legs was dangerously loose. So we moved it into the office. There was a flickering light in the lounge area so we couldn’t have those lights on. I emailed Sykes straight away about the balcony but had no response. Also I had tried to ring Sykes number prior to the holiday but gave up after there was no reply 30 minutes later, so decided a phone call was hopeless.
We loved the apartment and it suited our needs very well. The apartment itself was clean. However, as per the comments above, it would have been even better had we been able to resolve the problems.
Hi , sorry you had an issue with bird droppings , I’ll check if the cleaner cleaned it properly, we are in the process of getting new cushions for the patio furniture,
Sykes holidays did know about the chair with the lose leg and the light , so I’ll check why this was not resolved ,
Usually they do respond to phone calls right away and guests have usually been happy with an immediate response
I have just checked the last guests left 5 days before your arrival and a full clean was done then so any bird droppings happened a couple of days prior to your arrival unfortunately this is one of the joys of a seafront location
