Harbour Lights is an amazing luxury self catering apartment located at the Malakoff in St Ives, with stunning views across the harbour and St Ives Bay. Upon entering the bright and airy living area of Harbour Lights you can’t help but be mesmerised by the amazing view through the picture window, taking in the entire harbour, the Island and St Ives Bay.
Sit back on the comfortable three seater sofa or swivel armchair and drink in the views, or alternatively, relax and enjoy the entertainment system which comprises of a 40” Samsung Smart 3D television with surround sound & Sky+ Entertainment Extra package, 3D Blu-ray player with a selection of 3D films, Nintendo Wii with a selection of games, Samsung sound bar with bluetooth connectivity, Sony iPod dock and complimentary Wi-Fi. An oak coffee table, entertainment unit, side table with lamp, floor standing lamp and a useful pair of binoculars can also be found.
Also located within the living area, an adjustable oak table with four matching mink leather chairs are provided and is perfectly positioned for enjoying the panoramic views. Dimable spot lights allow you to create the right atmosphere for a relaxing evening meal in, whilst viewing the harbour lights beyond.
The galley style kitchen is perfectly formed with contemporary white fitted units and block wood effect work tops. The views can still be enjoyed in the kitchen via the living area window and a window to the rear allows the light to flood in. An under counter fridge/freezer, double oven/grill with ceramic hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, kettle, toaster, stick blender, slow cooker and Gaggia coffee machine are all provided for your use.
A coat hanging area can be found at the entrance of the property next to the kitchen and a utility cupboard is located within the bathroom, which is home to the iron, ironing board and clothes airer.
The master bedroom of Harbour Lights is a lovely spacious room and boasts one of the best views of St Ives. Sit back and relax in bed whilst enjoying the comings and goings in the picturesque harbour. The calming neutral tones continue into the bedrooms, with a lovely selection of local art to appreciate. Solid oak furniture consists of a comfortable king size bed, double wardrobe with hanging and draw space, tallboy chest of drawers and matching bedside tables with reading lamps. A full length mirror, Roman blinds, 32″ Samsung LED Freeview television, dimable spot lights, hairdryer and alarm clock radio can also be found.
The second bedroom is located to the rear of the property, ensuring guests of a quiet nights sleep. Two comfortable twin beds, oak double wardrobe with hanging and drawer space, tallboy chest of drawers, bedside table, reading lamp, full length mirror, dimable spot lights, Venetian and Roman blinds, alarm clock radio, hairdryer and a Samsung LED Freeview television are all provided for your comfort. The twin single beds can be arranged as a zip and link super king bed on request.
Luxury crisp white bed linen is provided in both bedrooms with a selection of high quality towels for each guest.
The family shower room at Harbour Lights is located to the rear of the property, adjacent to both bedrooms. A modern shower cubicle, WC and wash basin with mirrored cabinet, shaver socket and vanity light can be found. Nautical little touches add to the seaside feel this property exudes and you will find ample chrome rails for hanging your towels.
A selection of high quality towels comprising of a bath sheet & a hand towel are provided per person. Complimentary White Company toiletries are also provided.
Parking for two medium sized cars is provided in the rear car park.
Please be aware that the second parking space is blocked in by the property’s first parking bay (i.e. in tandem).
Malakoff Apartments are ideally located for enjoying all the delights that St Ives has to offer right on your doorstep, making for the perfect seaside holidays in Cornwall. The magnificent views take in the entire picturesque harbour, the Island and the spectacular bay with Godrevy Lighthouse in the distance.
The award winning Cornish coastal town of St Ives offers a fantastic range of things to see and do, and all can be enjoyed within a ten minute walk of Malakoff Apartments. The quaint harbour is just a 3 minute walk away and is lined with quirky shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants. There is a great selection of golden Blue Flag awarded beaches, Porthminster being the closest within just a three minute walk. Not forgetting the famous Tate St Ives located above the popular surfing beach, Porthmeor.
For those who decide to use public transport, Malakoff Apartments couldn’t be more perfectly located, with the bus, coach and branch line train stations all located within a two minute walk.
You may think that the name ‘Malakoff’ doesn’t sound very Cornish, and you would be right. The name commemorates a key battle in the Crimean War, in which the French successfully assaulted a Russian strong point, leading to the capture of Sevastopol in 1855. ‘The Malakoff’ is a small garden area located adjacent to the Malakoff Apartments, offering a magnificent vantage point for taking in the panoramic views across the harbour, Porthminster beach and St Ives Bay. There is also a fine bronze sculpture by Barbara Hepworth called ‘Epidaurous’ which can be appreciated.

"We had a lovely time and were very impressed with the standard of accommodation, as soon as we opened the door and we saw how beautiful Harbour Lights was and that terrific view! Everything was spotlessly clean and we really appreciated the little treats. We had a couple of really good meals – Rick Stein’s fish restaurant at Falmouth marina and Porthminster Beach Cafe we also recommend coffee and cakes at the café on the Porthmeor beach and sausage and bacon sandwiches on the beach at Gwidden in the beautiful sunshine (which we didn’t expect in October). We also really liked the craft market and the farmers market (delicious nibbles – very good olives) at the Guild Hall – further afield we found a little café called Delicious at Marizion where we can really recommend the cooked breakfast (I think the ingredients were organic but everything was freshly made). It’s a lovely walk over to Carbis Bay but we really loved pottering around the town looking at all the lovely galleries and artisan studios - there are some very talented people in St Ives. We had a brilliant holiday and would certainly recommend Carbis Bay Holidays and Harbour Lights."

Our favorite walk was catching the train down to Lelant and then walking back on the coast path through Carbis Bay we enjoyed it so much we did it again on our last day. There are so many good restaurants, we visited a mexican, a lovely Italian and a fish restaurant - all really good."
"We had a great holiday at Harbour Lights. The apartment was perfect in every respect in particular the stunning view from the bedroom and lounge. Regarding restaurants we particularly enjoyed the Porthminster Beach Seafood Restaurant. The food and service was excellent. On walks, we did the cliff path walk from the Lizard to Kynance Cove. Absolutely beautiful with spectacular views. Given there is a café on Lizard Point and another at Kynance the it makes for an enjoyable afternoon out. Also worth noting is Annes Pasties in Lizard Village - delicious!!!"

In order to make a booking, please either click on the Booking Calendar dates or enter your Arrive and Depart dates of your holiday, please bear in mind these should be a Changeover Day during April to October or in any school holiday period, unless at late notice.
For late notice breaks ie arrivals within 7 days, all breaks are discounted by 25% unless the owner has set a minimum rental, the dates can overlap a changeover day if the Arrive Date is within 7 days.
Short stays of 3 nights minimum are available between October and March, excluding bank holidays and school holidays. If booked in advance, the short break cannot overlap a changeover day.
