We even saw dolphins from this apartment.

"We had a really lovely time in Carbis Bay. The apartment was brilliant with everything we could have wanted. It was in perfect condition and we all felt very comfortable there. We were all very impressed not only with the high standard of equipment, linen, towels etc but with the cleaning as it was all beautifully clean. A good walk was from Porthtowan to St. Agnes - Driftwood, served good food. Gurnard Arms at Zennor served really good food. Porthminster restaurant and its sister restaurant the other side of St. Ives were good."

Fowey Hayle and of course the Marks and Spencer's and Next Sale!!!!! The Lloop in we ate there one evening and the mussels were wonderful. Badger Inn we went that was good to. Once again we all had a great time and the views spectacular from the conservatory."

"We had a great time in Laurellie apartment.
Absolutely beautiful situation with great view from the balcony.
We have never stayed in such clean and well equipped self-catering accommodation before and would definitely recommend this and are planning a longer stay for next year."

“This was one of the most wonderful holidays we had ever been on. Clearly location and weather plays a huge part, but credit to you guys for presenting such an amazing and well provided accommodation. It had absolutely everything we needed and in fact we felt we brought too much with us so next time we would travel a little lighter.
The quality was great, check in and out were smooth. You have made it difficult for us not to return. Thank you once again.”

"We had a delightful week at Laurellie, what a beautiful setting, the property was superb, it was well maintained and had everything you could wish for with plenty of info available, we were impressed by your contact information and all details appertaining. We went to the Italian Restaurant "La Casita" on 4 occasions as it was so handy and the food was superb and reasonably priced too, along with the warm welcome we received each time we went. The walk along the raiil track to St.Ives was pleasant as was the one the other way to Lelant & the Badger Pub. The Lost Gardens of Heligan were superb and good value, we also went to the Eden Project, it was ok but a bit expensive for what is was, St. Michaels Mount was also worth a visit. Overall we could not fault a thing"

“Laurellie is becoming our home from home, having spent our second summer holiday at the apartment. Laurellie is very clean, comfortable and well equipped and we settled in straightaway. It's great to have the outside space, and especially the conservatory; regardless of the weather we can sit and enjoy the ever changing view. Carbis Bay Holidays staff and administration remained at the high standard that we have come to expect following our, now, three visits to Compass Point. The booking process was very straightforward, as was paying the deposit and balance, and collecting the keys. The staff are always friendly and courteous and administration efficient and prompt.”

"We had a fabulous time at Laurellie, we went out and about a bit more - Levant Mine, Land's End and around The Lizard. Having stayed at Compass Point with you previously - perfect for our first trip exploring the area around St. Ives), we already knew our way around - to the beach, on the train, and walking the coastal path, to St. Ives. Therefore, we settled into Laurellie within the first 24 hours. The apartment was all that we expected - very clean, comfortable, well equipped, with the bonus of the conservatory (where we spent many hours each day) and the terrace. This year we tried La Casita and The Badger Inn, both of which we really enjoyed, especially the Sunday carvery at The Badger, which offered such a wide choice, with a good vegetarian option for me. Of course, no visit would be complete without a trip (or two) to Becks. We can also recommend The Beach Restaurant, along the harbour front in St. Ives. "

"Eating out in St Ives was excellent. We fully recommend: Porthmeor Cafe - Good situation, excellent staff & fantastic food. The tapas were great, the monkfish in batter was the best fish in batter I've ever had. Porthminster Beach Cafe - Great for a full meal, more of a restaurant. Closest St Ives restaurant to Carbis Bay - also close to the station. Once again, great location, staff & food. Sea Food Cafe in Fore Street - No view, but good quality. In Penzance - Mackerel Sky Cafe is fantastic. I've only just realised that it's no 1 on trip advisor, we found it by chance as it's just round the corner from the Exchange Art Gallery - part of the 'Art Pass'. Exchange & Newlyn Art Gallery are dreadful; Leach Pottery is interesting; Barbara Hepworth museum OK, but Sculpture Garden great; Tate was closed when we were in town (imminent Royal visit); Penlee House Gallery & museum was the best of the lot & well worth a visit. Train - very useful & what can you say at just £1 to get into St Ives. Hourly schedule can be a bit of a pain. Walk to St Ives very enjoyable. Walk beyond St Ives really good. Coast walk the other way from Carbis Bay is great to start with, but loses interest as you approach Lelant. Zennor worth a visit. Cafe by car park very good. We really enjoyed our holiday -thanks. !"

"A fantastic break at Laurellie, excellent value for money. I would like to recommend to any real ale enthusiasts the Star Inn at Crowlas ( 5 miles towards Penzance ) on the main road. We will certainly be back for another break soon."

"Laurellie was very well equipped which made for a very comfortable stay. The kitchen was particularly well equipped and had everything we needed and more. We visited Cafe Pizza, St Ives - we had a really lovely meal, we were lucky enough to have a warm and sunny day for our visit to the Minack theatre."

"We really enjoyed our stay in Laurellie. Such a lovely apartment and so well equipped. The outstanding feature was the conservatory, if the weather is not so good you can still relax in the warm and have an amazing view of the sea. Enjoyed the costal walk from Carbis Bay to St. Ives. Trevarno well worth a visit. Had lovely carvery at the Badger Inn, Lelant."

"We had an excellent holiday. Laurellie was faultless and location and views excellent. We will certainly return in the future. Porthminster Cafe was our favourite restaurant – we ate there two evenings. La Casita was also very good for a local meal. Tinner’s Arms in Zennor is a lovely old pub. Favourite places to visit: Eden project, St Michael’s Mount, Cape Cornwall (lovely walks), Kynance Cove, Trengwainton Gradens."

"We had a wonderful time at `Laurellie, once we arrived we flung open the conservatory doors and took in the magnificent views. The apartment was spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. We walked to St Ives on the coastal path, visited the Eden Project, Port Isaac, Padstow, Lands End and The Lizard, my personal favourite was the Minack Theatre. We ate at La Casita which is within walking distance of the apartment, the food and service were excellent and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. Also had fish and chips from Becks which were superb. So, all in all a memorable holiday. Thanks to everyone concerned."

"We had a wonderful week at Laurellie thank you.
We very much liked the decor of the apartment and found it very relaxing.
We walked both into St Ives and along the coastal path the other way, and also spent time just relaxing and reading in the apartment.
We ate twice at the Porthminster Cafe which is our St Ives favourite."
