"Located in a quiet residential location but within easy access to all necessary requirements to make a great holiday. Outstanding views over bay and beyond from not only balcony but lounge/dining area as well! Enjoy breakfast, afternoon tea or evening tipple taking in the sea views. The apartment is well laid out, open and functional. Clean and tidy, well equipped to a very good standard. Private parking a bonus. There are a few elongated steps to entrance but nothing an eighty-nine-year-old cannot cope with!! Railway station few minutes away but steepish to get to. Easier to go to St Erth (starting point) and enjoy short but very pleasant coastal railway ride to St Ives. Explored area by car and evidenced a good bus service! Eating - The Badger Inn, definitely. Great Sunday carvery plus another menu. 'Becks' fish and chips a must. Otherwise choice as you find. Overall cannot fault, would recommend to anyone. Congrats to all"
Beautiful spot, very comfy with amazing views. Lovely base to explore from and so easy to get the train into St Ives.
very comfortable apartment and well equipped, with a wonderful sea view.
“My family really enjoyed the stay in Longships. The welcome package was very kind and highly appreciated after the long drive. The Apartment was fabulous and we are planning to be back.“
"We absolutely enjoyed staying in Longships! We have stayed in many different rented houses around Europe, and I must say that Longships was by far the best equipped house - both in style and usage. A great place to come" home" to after a day of driving around - or stretching out at one of the many great beaches. The neighborhood was nice and quiet, the parking place was of true value - and the train to St.Ives so close, made it even better. And the balcony with the great sea view was an absolute winner. We sat there every evening with our coffee or nightcaps. Sights to recommend:The Number One is: Mullion Cove. What an absolute heaven on earth. Perranporth Airfield is a must - but only for RAF history buffs: An old - and pretty much intact - Spitfire Airfield from WWII. All in all we truly enjoyed this first time in Cornwall - and we are pretty sure, that we'll come back again."
"Longships was a delight, airy, comfortable, well equipped and very clean. Walks - Carbis Bay to St Ives, done regularly and shouldn't be missed, St Michaels Mount and Trebah Gardens were very enjoyable in the rain, (seriously, few visitors thus little jostling), Godrevy Point was wonderful, a lovely high walk with good views of the seals and a pup on the beach. Food - Porthminster Cafe, wonderful food and good service. Ocean Grill in St Ives very good food. La Casita, ate there twice, in both cases well looked after with very nice food."
"Longships is in an excellent location, which was quiet and secluded, accommodation was of a very high standard and all linen provided was clean and fresh. The local walks (coastal path) to Lelant, St Ives/Porthminster were the outstanding feature of our stay, the views and scenery were first class and thoroughly recommended. St Ives offered excellent food and drink, we particularly enjoyed the Fire House (Pub food and drink) and the Harbour Fish & Chip Restaurant."
"From the moment we booked to the time we left Longships. we found every one concerned was very efficient and professional. The apartment itself was superb, clean, very well equipped, had wonderful views and was very well positioned to get to St Ives and other tourist spots. We used the local train to get to St Ives which was a short walk away ( and when I say short it took us 4 minutes to walk) and it only cost £1 each way and only took 3 minutes. The local beach at carbis bay is lovely but the walk is very steep(hard work to get back up) but really worth it. Try and take afternoon tea at The carbis bay hotel touch expensive (£15 for 2) but the best one we had in Cornwall. Take the coast road out of St Ives to Lands End the views are spectacular. The only problem we encountered was on the day we were due home.......We had to leave!!!!"
"We must say how fantastic our holiday was.. it was the most perfect place. The accommodation was superb. We could not fault it and especially loved all the little touches such as games for the kids . The standard was fantastic the cleanliness as well was great. The beaches were all superb . We visited Porthcurno . this was lovely , nice and sheltered if you have small children. The food was all fantastic. we found a lovely fish and chip shop in Hayle and and some fantastic restaurants . La Casita on the main road was very good and friendly staff."
"We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday at Longships, the apartment was furnished and equipped to the highest standard and there was nothing we wanted that it didn`t have. We thought Carbis bay and St Ives were really stunning, too many lovely places to eat to mention!"
"The holiday was great as was the apartment. Longships suits us ideally, it is spacious, well equipped and clean."
"Booking system was easy. Accommodation was excellent as always with Carbis Bay. Also a big plus point was the House Keeper, Sophie who came out at a moment's notice to solve a small problem. Looking forward to returning some time in the autumn."
