Sand Waves is the perfect luxurious apartment for a Cornish beachside escape. Swing open the patio doors from the living area and master bedroom and walk out onto your very own private decking, absolutely perfect for alfresco dining. This relaxing home from home boasts magnificent views across St Ives Bay to the ocean beyond, allowing you to sit back and be mesmerised into a complete state of relaxation.

Living Area

Sand Waves has a wonderful open plan living area furnished with two comfortable leather sofas, a 40″ LED WiFi enabled television with Sky+ HD including Sky sports package and Netflix, Blu-Ray DVD player with an array of DVD’s, an iPod docking station and complimentary WiFi. Further entertainment is provided with a good selection of board games and an Xbox 360 with Kinect sensor and a selection of games. The lounge opens out on to a decked terrace with fantastic panoramic views over Carbis Bay beach, from Porthminster Point to Carrack Gladden (or Hawkes Point), then across the long sandy beaches of Hayle and Gwithan, all the way to Godrevy Lighthouse.

The living area and hallway have Karndean American Oak flooring throughout.

Dining Area

The dining area is set within the spacious living area, allowing you to make the most of the spectacular sea views. Comfortably seating four people with plenty of room for a highchair if required, it is conveniently located next to the half height open archway of the kitchen, making this a great sociable area.

On a sunny morning or a balmy evening, meals can also be enjoyed out on your decking area where alfresco dining furniture is provided.

Sand Waves offers all that you could ever need to create a variety of gastro delights, but should you wish to have a night off from cooking, then why not try one of the local restaurants in Carbis Bay – La Casita and Becks Fish and Chips are highly recommended or venture into St Ives and be spoilt for choice with the great selection of seafood restaurants.

Kitchen

Sand Waves has a fully fitted modern kitchen with NEFF double oven, gas hob, microwave, built in fridge, washer/dryer, built in dishwasher, freezer, toaster, kettle and everything else you would expect from an apartment of this quality. With an additional bistro table and four chairs conveniently located within the kitchen, this property is not short of places to sit down and enjoy a fresh cup of coffee from the Gaggia coffee machine provided. Sea views can also be enjoyed through the half height arch to the lounge patio doors.

Bedroom One with En-suite

The minute you walk into the master bedroom you will just want to lie down on the king size bed and take in the sea views from your patio doors, which lead out on to the decking area. This bedroom has a large built in wardrobe, bedside cabinets, reading lamps and a chest of drawers and vanity unit so you will have plenty of storage space. As well as ocean views, a 32” high definition LCD TV with Freeview and Blu-Ray DVD player can be enjoyed. The master bedroom also boasts an en-suite bathroom with indulgent whirlpool bath, twin vanity unit and bidet. For your convenience, a hairdryer is also provided.

If you have always dreamt about sitting in bed at night listening to the Cornish tide ebb and flow, then Sand Waves will not disappoint. The lapping of the nearby waves will ensure you drift off into a peaceful nights sleep, however long you decide to stay at this luxurious apartment.

Bedroom Two

The second bedroom is furnished with twin beds, vanity unit, bedside table reading lamp and a large fitted wardrobe. There is a 22″ LCD TV with Freeview and built in DVD player, along with an iPod docking station for your entertainment. Although not enjoying the views, this quiet room to the rear of the property is neutrally decorated to suit both adults and children, making for a good nights sleep for all.

All bedding is provided except for the travel cot.

Each guest is provided with a set of three fluffy towels (bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel) , beach towels are not included.

Bathroom One

This bathroom exudes understated style and quality; with high quality textured white porcelain wall tiles and silver grey floor tiles, white sanitary ware and chrome and stainless fittings providing the perfect setting in which to relax and refresh after a hot day on the beach. This fabulous bathroom includes a contemporary shower cubicle with large rain shower and separate moveable shower head, WC, stainless steel heated towel rail, shaver socket, and contemporary basin set atop a high quality Ellis unit incorporating a large soft close drawer all in Hydra Driftwood. Finishing touches such as the large bevelled mirror and chrome spotlights complete the clean stylish look of this room.

Bathroom Two

The newly refurbished en-suite to the master bedroom also exudes understated style and quality; with high quality textured white porcelain wall tiles and silver grey floor tiles, white sanitary ware and chrome and stainless fittings providing the perfect setting in which to relax and refresh after a hot day on the beach. Decking Area

The decked terrace off Sand Waves is accessible from either the lounge or the master bedroom of the apartment via double patio doors. An alfresco dining set of table and four comfortable chairs are conveniently placed to take advantage of the unforgettable sea views across to Godrevy Lighthouse.

The decked terrace is directly above the garden from which a path leads down to the beach through the well-kept gardens and private gate.

Carbis Beach

Carbis Beach Apartments are located in a commanding position directly above Carbis Bay beach with stunning view across The Bay to St Ives and Godrevy Lighthouse.

Each apartment is centrally heated and furnished to the highest standard to provide year round enjoyment. Some of these 5 star graded apartments are more accessible than others as they can be reached either by stairs, lift or directly from the private gated car park. Once you have unpacked, drink in the views admire the the landscaped gardens and take the private pathway down to the beach.

The two bedroomed accommodation consists of a large lounge/dining room, separate kitchen, master bedroom with en-suite, a second bedroom with twin beds and a family bathroom. The lounge and master bedrooms both have uninterrupted views of Carbis Bay beach and across to St. Ives. There is an allocated parking space behind secure gates and additional parking can be arranged on request.

We walked in to St Ives most days and took advantage of the local Fish and Chips (and Kelly's Ice Cream). We would highly recommend 'Splosh' as a place for people to visit (especially honey mooners). It's a basic concept of painting your own pottery but it is lots of fun and a great way to make a special keepsake to take home. We would also highly recommend Porthminster Cafe for food if guests want to splash out for a special occasion. We ate outside every day of our stay both breakfast and evening meal and this was mid February! The flat sits on the coast path so you can easily walk traffic free and safe into St Ives or enjoy a short train ride hugging the water all the way back if you have over indulged at lunch time and we always tend to do this when visiting one of our favourite “celebration” restaurants The Seafood Café in the middle of town."

In order to make a booking, please either click on the Booking Calendar dates or enter your Arrive and Depart dates of your holiday, please bear in mind these should be a Changeover Day during April to October or in any school holiday period, unless at late notice.

For late notice breaks ie arrivals within 7 days, all breaks are discounted by 25% unless the owner has set a minimum rental, the dates can overlap a changeover day if the Arrive Date is within 7 days.

Short stays of 3 nights minimum are available between October and March, excluding bank holidays and school holidays. If booked in advance, the short break cannot overlap a changeover day.
