"Lovely apartment with sea views. Comfortable beds and lovely furnishings. Clean and tidy throughout. Beautiful conservatory to sit and relax and take in the scenery and with the doors open hear the sea. 2 mins walk to the train.
Had a fantastic time. Only tiny fault is it says parking in garage but was too small for any normal size car and the only other parking is in visitor’s car space but these are on first come first serve. We did get a space eventually but it’s not what you need when you arrive at your holiday. The lovely housekeeper told us to park in the disabled space until visitor’s space became free but as there are parking restriction signs everywhere, we were a bit nervous about this. Brilliant holiday though and would come again. Thank you, Carbis Bay Holidays.
"We had a lovely time in Sandpiper, stunning views and comfortable apartment. In wonderful Carbis Bay we come every year always booking with Carbis Bay Holidays as their Housekeepers and Office staff always helpful and friendly no matter how small the query. All facilities good, only issue was the garage which is very tight and I only have small car anything large would not get into it."
"Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Great accommodation with many added bonuses (Sonos speaker, dishwasher, washer/dryer and TV in 3 rooms) in a fabulous location, the view of Carbis Bay was amazing. Close to St Ives and easy access to main roads for other adventures in Cornwall. We will be back I promise!"
"Great accommodation with exquisite views, in one of the, if not the best place in the UK"

"Sandpiper is a spacious, airy apartment split over two floors. Downstairs has a lovely lounge which opens up into the conservatory, great views of the sea on a rainy day! There's an outside patio area off the kitchen which has fantastic views , we were lucky enough to have fabulous weather and sat outside nearly every night with a glass of wine. Both bedrooms are upstairs ,the master bedroom is very spacious and the bed is very comfortable, slept like logs! Our car didn't fit into the garage so we had to use a visitor space, which could be a problem in the busy Summer months, so worth checking dimensions before you book. Overall it was a fabulous apartment and I would definitely return, the outside area is a big plus!"
"We had a really lovely stay at Sandpiper, a very well equipped apartment and the conservatory is a real bonus, when the weather is not so warm, the apartment was beautifully clean and lovely to arrive to. Our favourite places to visit are Kynance Cove, there is a beautiful circular walk above the cove and before you start have a coffee,(best ever) at the little cafe above the cove and the lovely fishing village of Cadgwith is a great place to go, a walk past the devils frying pan towards the Lizard lighthouse is stunning."
The best thing about the apartment is the view. You can just sit in the conservatory and look out in any weather. The apartment is very well equipped and spotlessly clean.
There is an issue with parking, unless you have a small car, you will not get it into the allocated garage. There are 3 visitor spaces, but the use is on a first come first served basis and it is a bit of a battle to park as everyone who has a garage allocated if their cars are too big they use the visitor spaces. We tried not to use the car, so as we could keep the space!
The apartment was very clean, but it is showing signs of wear and tear, the paintwork needs a refresh. The bathrooms are perfectly ok, but need to be modernized to bring them up to a high standard.
We were recommended to use the company Food for my Holiday, which worked out really well. I ordered food the week before our arrival date, and the food was delivered for our arrival. It was more expensive that popping to the local Tesco, but much better quality and lovely to arrive knowing that after unpacking we didn't need to go shopping.
We can highly recommend the restaurant La Cassita in Carbis Bay, ate there twice and had a lovely meal both times.
We would definitely stay at the apartment again, would just have to travel down in my Mini!!
“Really enjoyed our two weeks. The property was just great, the housekeeper who met us was really nice and helpful and the property was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.”
"Had a wonderful and relaxing holiday at Sandpiper, the apartment was fantastic – especially the conservatory. I enjoyed my holiday immensely and believe that this was largely due to having such a lovely home to stay in. The housekeeper obviously does a wonderful job as the place was spotless."
Our choice of Sandpiper was excellent in all respects, the apartment was very clean and there was a good welcome pack. It was lovely to have the conservatory and balcony with such good views and this was a key point in our choice of apartment. We can add another glowing reference for the Porthminster Beach Cafe - the lunch we had was excellent and included the brilliant Deconstructed Pimms for pudding! We also visited the Badger Inn where the sizzling chicken dish was good and Becks fish and chips which certainly lived up to its reputation. We enjoyed bumbling about the area, used the train (much better than trying to park in St Ives) visited Lands End, St Michael's Mount, Truro Cathedral, Newlyn, the Tate and Barbara Hepworth's exhibitions and the Minack Theatre (a definite highlight) where as well as marvelling at the construction of the theatre we were able to watch gannets diving offshore. A walk which I particularly enjoyed involved catching the no 300 bus from Longstone Cross in Carbis Bay to the Gurnard Head Hotel and then using the coast path to walk back to Carbis Bay via St Ives - about 11 miles of rugged coast with fabulous sea views and sea colours made all the better by the strong winds creating plenty of white water. And I didn't need to use the car. All in all an excellent week."
"We had a wonderful week in Sandpiper. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had absolutely everything we needed (and more). The conservatory was a real bonus and the patio area was great and enabled us to have lazy breakfasts in the sun. The weather throughout the week was perfect and we spent long days on the beach, relaxing and recharging the batteries! We ate at both Porthgwidden and Porthminster Beach Cafes - excellent; had fish and chips from Becks - always a must; and enjoyed a good old English breakfast over at Godrevy Beach Cafe."
"We had a wonderful time at Carbis Bay in Sandpiper, the accommodation was excellent 10 out of 10, in fact that also goes for the booking process, cleanliness of the property and the customer service, I can't fault any of these areas and they all added to the holiday."
"'Sandpiper' exceeded our expectations, it was simply lovely. The views in particular were a great source of pleasure and the conservatory a haven. Standard of cleanliness excellent, bath-robes and welcome goodies a touch of luxury. The 'Waves' restaurant in St. Ives served superb food, we would also recommend the local Italian Casista for an excellent meal. Our walks were limited to the Carbis Bay to St. Ives route which is very enjoyable. The train is a must in adverse weather conditions and very convenient. A trip to Falmouth and ferry boat crossing was great. We think the beauty of Cornwall is so diverse it is best just to go out and discover it for oneself."
"The extra touches on arrival were really appreciated. We were on our honeymoon and it was lovely to be greeted by a bottle of bubbly as well as flowers, a cream tea and a bottle of red wine! The accommodation was perfect for us and lived up to our expectations from the website description and photos. Everything possible was provided in the apartment to make our stay comfortable - a real home from home. The area is beautiful and we didn't really do much more than visit St Ives and the local area either by train or on foot."
"The apartment is very comfortable with every convenience. But what is special is having the conservatory for those bad weather days, where you can sit inside, warm and cosy, and look at the amazing view. Being so near the beach and station means you do not have to use the car."
"We had a great time at Sandpiper and rate it has one of the best properties we have ever stayed at. Everything was managed superbly by your staff and the property was very clean. In fact we were so impressed we may book here again in the future."
"This was our 5th visit to Sandpiper I am sure that speaks a lot as to how we feel about Sandpiper. Thanks again for a brilliant week as usual . As far as walks and restaurants we enjoy walking on Godrevy Point and Hells Mouth plus Godrevy Cafe does a really good breakfast."
"We had a really lovely time in Sandpiper a lovely property and is very well kitted out. The apartment was spotlessly clean and everything still looks new. The highlight for me is the conservatory, great for reading or for taking in the view, especially if the weather turns wet. The wifi and Sky were also much appreciated. We think the location is excellent as you can easily walk into St Ives (we were fitter by the end of the week than at the start, with those steep hills!) or take the train, which is only a few steps away and costs only £1 each way. Carbis Bay beach is beautiful, with soft golden sands and turquoise water and during our week we saw seals in the bay each day. Our favorite restaurants this time were the Badger at Lelant for the Sunday carvery, Blas Burger Works for a fun meal and Harbour Fish and Chips, where the large seafood selection is a must. We finished the holiday with breakfast at Porthmeor Cafe, overlooking the beach; great food with a stunning view."
"We thought Sandpiper was a lovely apartment , the apartment was very clean and tidy. Walk the coastal path to Lelant, have lunch at the Badger and then walk back – an excellent day out. Catch the 300 bus from the top of Boskerris Road to Sennen Cove – the journey through Zennor and St Just is wonderful and you see more from the bus than you can from a car. Sennen Cove is beautiful and is much more interesting than Lands End."
"What can I say this is the second time we have visited the Sandpiper apartment and the standard of accommodation never fails to impress from the view to the five star quality of the apartment, thanks again for making our stay in sunny Cornwall such a memorable event for us and our freinds who came down for a few days break."
"We had a very relaxing holiday at your lovely apartment the weather was rain and gales but wonderful and with the views and comfort of Sandpiper we were very content. We did have some great walks on the beaches and the coastal walks even in the rain, Thank you for a great holiday experience."
"We had a wonderful week at Sandpiper. The apartment was great, location was great, weather was great!! We enjoyed the walks between Carbis Bay and St Ives and also taking the train was so convenient and very reasonable. The beach itself in Carbis Bay was stunning. Wonderful golden sand and clear turquoise water, with the odd seal or two. Our favourite restaurants were Sunday lunch carvery at the Balnoon Inn (best ever), breakfast at Porthmeor Cafe watching the surfers, fish and chips from Beck's and a fantastic burger from Blas Burgerworks, with great atmosphere."
"We were very impressed with everything about Sandpiper and cannot fault it in any way. It's been many years since we visited the area and were not disapointed with our return. The walk to St.Ives is beautiful along with Porthminster beach. We were also blessed with beautiful weather to enhance the break even more.........it's a pity we didn't book the week but intend to do so next year."
"We had a fantastic time in Carbis Bay! The Sandpiper apartment was immaculate with everything you could possibly need. We loved the walk into St Ives and back which we did several times. We also walked the other way on the coast path to the next bay and back round on the beach at low tide."
"We had lovely stay in Carbis Bay , Sandpiper was perfect, well equipped and all the facility was perfect. We appreciated the warm welcome from the housekeeper. We had great dinner at Alba Restaurant, nice was also the launch at Porthminster Beach Cafe."
"The standard of everything in Sandpiper was first class, a true home from home – perhaps even better! The conservatory is a real highlight for us. Over all we would recommend the Sandpiper and Carbis Bay holidays to anyone looking for a luxury apartment set in a beautiful location."
"We would like to thank you for providing us with such an outstanding apartment it met and exceeded our expectations we cannot wait to book for next year we have fallen in love with the Sandpiper to wake up there in a morning no matter what the weather is stunning. Thank you for such an idilic holiday."
"The holiday was fantastic the accommodation was perfect and the service from Carbis Bay holidays was very efficient. An excellent holiday and can't think of anything that could make it better. We especially liked the tray of goodies (clotted cream and scones etc) that were provided - excellent :)"
"We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and found the accommodation (Sandpiper) excellent; in particular the terrace and conservatory gave a wonderful sense of space and of course provided spectacular views of the bay (no dolphins!). The apartment was equipped to a high standard and everything was clean and in full working order."
"As usual the administration/organisation from Carbis Bay Holidays was excellent - one of the reasons we keep coming back to you. The Sandpiper property is also excellent. The facilities offered and the cleanliness is always beyond our expectations. It's the second time we've stayed there and it seems to get better every time!"
