Occupying one of the premier positions in Carbis Bay, this light and airy apartment is delightful. Located on the ground floor at Carbis Beach you are so close to the sea and the landscaped gardens. Just sit out on the decking and drink in the view. Don't relax too much as you may forget you're in England as this apartment and the ever-changing colours of the sea will have you 'cast-away' in a sub-tropical paradise.
Castaways has a spacious lounge with two comfortable two seater sofas which are perfectly positioned enjoying the beautiful sea views or for watching the 32″ LCD television with Freeview. Further entertainment is provided with a DVD player including a selection of DVDs, Playstation I with a selection of games and a variety of board games.
The lounge opens out on to a tranquil decked terrace with spectacular views over Carbis Bay Beach towards St Ives; here you can enjoy some beautiful sunsets and the ever changing colours of the sea. With your patio doors open, you can listen to the surf and enjoy the dramatic views across St Ives Bay. You may even spot the playful seals and dolphins in the bay which are often sighted enjoying the balmy Cornish weather.
There is a “Welcome Book” packed with information about St Ives and the varied local attractions of Cornwall. You will also find O.S. maps, walks, pub and restaurant guides, as well as a selection of reading books. Don’t forget to leave a note for future visitors in the visitors’ book. Our guests love to share hints and tips of experiences that made their holiday really special.
The dining area at Castaways is perfectly located within the spacious living area, allowing you to continue enjoying the wonderful sea views. The dining table and four chairs are positioned next to the open archway allowing you to be sociable with those in the kitchen.
If you choose not to eat in, you are rather spoilt for choice with a number of quality restaurants nearby. Try The Seafood Café or Onshore in St Ives, why not visit the local restaurants in Carbis Bay – La Casita and Becks Fish and Chips are highly recommended. Some restaurants in St Ives do offer a takeaway service; alternatively you can prepare your meal at home and enjoy it in the comfort of your apartment. On warmer days of course you may choose to dine on your decking “al fresco” above St Ives Bay.
The spacious kitchen at Castaways has a fully fitted modern kitchen with NEFF cooker, hob, microwave, integrated fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, and everything else you would expect from an apartment of this quality. There won’t be any arguments in this kitchen about washing up, either use the dishwasher or make it less of a chore by looking out across St Ives Bay whilst standing at the sink!
Bedroom One with En-Suite
The beautiful bright and airy master bedroom of Castaways has a king size bed, large wardrobe, bedside tables, matching reading lamps and a chest of drawers, so you will have plenty of storage space. Watch the LCD Freeview television from your comfortable bed or just sit back and be mesmerised by the same spectacular panoramic sea views as the lounge posses, taking in the beach and across the bay to St Ives, Gwithian and Godrevy Lighthouse. You are not overlooked so it is a pleasure to sleep with the curtains open – listening to the waves lapping on the beach below. Step out of the bedroom double French doors and enjoy breakfast on the decked terrace.
The second bedroom of this luxury beach-front holiday apartment is furnished with twin beds, bedside table, reading lamp, large fitted mirrored wardrobes and a chest of drawers. There is an LCD Freeview television for your entertainment. Although not enjoying the views, this quiet room is decorated to suit both adults and children. It will ensure that you sleep well after your days’ activities whether they be exploring the local attractions or taking in those long walks on the beach and cliffs around Carbis Bay, St Ives and Cornwall.
Luxury cotton bed linen is provided in all bedrooms with a selection of high quality towels for each guest, including bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel. A hairdryer is also provided in each bedroom.
The main family bathroom is conveniently located next to bedroom two and offers a large wash basin with storage underneath, WC and separate shower cubicle. There is a heated towel rail for keeping you towels nice and toasty and a shaver socket and mirror.
The en-suite to the master bedroom of Castaways has twin wash basins with storage underneath, WC, bath with hand shower, bidet, heated towel rail, shaver socket and mirror. This is the place to unwind on your holiday after those long hot sunny days on the beach or those bracing winter walks along the cliff.
A bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel are provided per person and, although we provide weighing scales, you are not obliged to use them. This is your holiday – so relax! Complimentary White Company toiletries are also provided in each bathroom.
The decked terrace off Castaways is accessible from either the lounge or the master bedroom of the apartment. A patio table and four comfortable chairs are located in a perfect position to view one of the “Most Beautiful Bays in the World”. Why not enjoy breakfast in the morning sun, or in the evening, watch the fabulous sunset over St Ives and the Bay? Part of the decking is covered and sheltered allowing you to enjoy the views from outside at all times of the year. The decked terrace is directly above the garden from which a path leads down to the beach through the well-kept gardens and private gate.
Carbis Beach Apartments are located in a commanding position directly above Carbis Bay beach with stunning view across The Bay to St Ives and Godrevy Lighthouse.
Each apartment is centrally heated and furnished to the highest standard to provide year round enjoyment. Some of these 5 star graded apartments are more accessible than others as they can be reached either by stairs, lift or directly from the private gated car park. Once you have unpacked, drink in the views admire the the landscaped gardens and take the private pathway down to the beach.
The two bedroomed accommodation consists of a large lounge/dining room, separate kitchen, master bedroom with en-suite, a second bedroom with twin beds and a family bathroom. The lounge and master bedrooms both have uninterrupted views of Carbis Bay beach and across to St. Ives. There is an allocated parking space behind secure gates and additional parking can be arranged on request.

"We had a fabulous week in Carbis Bay! The apartment as ever was immaculately clean and as there was nobody in the apartment just before our stay, the view is outstanding and just to lie in bed and listen to the sea is fab. We went with our two children, aged nine and four months so every evening was spent in the apartment but we had a great pizza takeaway from Hayle, Pizza Patio. We did Becks fish and chips takeaway as this is the law! The apartment has everything that we needed and more and it is so beautifully presented and the attention to detail is wonderful, there was not one thing that I felt I needed that was not already there! The views were spectacular and for the first two days I spent admiring them, rather than reading. I found Castaways to be in a perfect location, for myself anyway, as I like privacy and quietness. The furnishings and fittings of the apartment were very tastefully done and were of a high standard and was very clean and tidy and was a pleasure to stay in.

"We found Castaways excellent- we chose to come by train and the proximity of the apartment to the station was a bonus. awe walked to Hayle along the coast path(returning by bus and train)- lunch at the deli cafe Scarlet in Lelant was a real find.We also would recommend walking to Porthminster Beach cafe- fantastic food and an easy walk back even in the dark. The other restaurant we would highly recommend would be Alba on the harbour."

I enjoyed the modern appliances in the kitchen which made cooking on the times we ate in very easy. We ate at the Seafood Café a few times for lunch and an evening, the carvery at the Badger is also good value and very tasty."

"Yes, my family and I did enjoy a wonderful holiday at Castaways stunning view, a wonderful location and well presented. Being close to the beach was a priority with a young family and this certainly proved a bonus for those tired little legs at the end of a long day digging and paddling!. Everything we needed was to hand. The feeling of security on the site also helped to make it a home away from home and helped us to drop into "holiday mode" very quickly."

"We had another fabulous holiday in Carbis Bay. The apartment was absolutely super and we had a really comfortable 3 weeks! Many thanks to the team for a very clean apartment. Our favourite restaurants are the Alba, the Porthgwidden Cafe in St Ives (great fish) and the Gurnards Head in Zennnor I definitely recommend an evening performance at the Minack Theatre. Favourite places to visit include Heligan and Cotehele. Favourite walks: St Just and walk to Levant Mine and Beam Engine along the coast path. It is also a nice walk from St Just to Gwenver Sands. Mousehole to Lamorna Cove is another favourite. The Lamorna Pottery does lovely cream teas and the Ship Inn in Mousehole has good beer and pub food. We are coming back again next year!!!! "

"The holiday in Castaways was very good. The accommodation was very very clean and well maintained, it was so nice in fact that we only dined out on one evening - it was too nice to leave! We walked along the coastal paths both to Hayle and the estuary and to St Ives and the Island frequently. All walks were pleasant and inspiring. We spent a couple of days picking shells off the beach as we walked too - something that always seems to happen whenever we visit! The Loft Restaurant was very good."

It was also very safe for our daughter as there was no risk of her being near the road when we were sitting outside. In order to make a booking, please either click on the Booking Calendar dates or enter your Arrive and Depart dates of your holiday, please bear in mind these should be a Changeover Day during April to October or in any school holiday period, unless at late notice.
For late notice breaks ie arrivals within 7 days, all breaks are discounted by 25% unless the owner has set a minimum rental, the dates can overlap a changeover day if the Arrive Date is within 7 days.
Short stays of 3 nights minimum are available between October and March, excluding bank holidays and school holidays. If booked in advance, the short break cannot overlap a changeover day.
