The name of this gorgeous apartment is inspired by the owners memories of Halfway Tree in Jamaica, the comparison goes further when you are standing on the private patio enjoying the azure colours of St Ives Bay, so similar to the Caribbean. The perfect base to enjoy the delights of West Cornwall with its proximity to the South West Coastal Path and convenience to both coasts of this stunning part of England.
Upon entering Halfway Tree you a greeted into a spacious hallway where you will find an entry phone for allowing access to the development, a coat hanging area and a cupboard where you will find a variety of beach gear and games.
The bright and airy open plan living area boasts an absolutely stunning sea view via the double French doors. Open out the doors onto your seaward facing balcony and allow the fresh sea air to flow in. Seating for four is provided on the two comfortable tan leather sofas, which are perfectly positioned for enjoying the sea views or entertainment system. A 37” LCD television with Sky+ including Sports & Variety package, Nintendo Wii with a selection of games, DVD player with a collection of DVDs and complimentary WiFi is provided.
Amtico oak flooring is laid throughout the living and kitchen areas and ample lighting is provided with dimable lighting, a selection of reading lamps and a floor standing lamp. A selection of local prints adorn the walls and a handy pair of binoculars are positioned perfectly by the window for watching the comings and goings in the bay.
An oak table with six matching chairs can be found within the open plan dining area, allowing you to continue enjoying the magnificent sea views whilst you dine. A bay window allows additional light into this area and this is where an oak sideboard with a selection of board games, books, CDs and a HiFi system with docking station, CD player and DAB radio can be discovered.

The large kitchen is located to the rear of the property yet enjoys views through the living area French doors via the feature archway. Ample storage can be found within the fitted cupboards and plentiful work top space is provided. Integral appliances include a double oven/grill, gas hob with extractor above, dishwasher, washer-dryer and fridge-freezer. You will also discover a microwave, toaster, kettle, filter coffee machine, DAB radio, iron, ironing board and clothes airer.
Bedroom One with En-suite
The spacious master bedroom is located to the front of the property and boasts amazing panoramic sea views via the double French doors which open to a Juliette balcony. You will also find a separate patio door which opens out onto the main balcony. A comfortable king size bed is dressed with fresh white bed linen and ample storage can be found within the bedside table with matching reading lamps, chest of drawers and large built-in wardrobes with hanging and drawer storage. An LCD television with Freeview, DVD and docking station, hairdryer, armchair and full length mirror can also be found.
The second bedroom is located to the rear of the property and offers both curtains and blinds, ensuring guests of a peaceful nights sleep. Twin beds, built-in mirrored wardrobes with hanging and shelf storage, chest of drawers, bedside table with reading lamp, vanity mirror with shelf and a Freeview LCD television with DVD can all be discovered.
Luxury crisp white cotton bed linen is provided in both bedrooms, along with a selection of high quality towels for each guest.
The family bathroom is located off the main hallway, adjacent to bedroom two and has a separate shower cubicle, WC, wash basin with built-in storage underneath and mirror with vanity light and shaver light above. You will also find a heated towel rail for keeping your towels nice and toasty.
The large en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom boasts a bath with shower overhead, twin wash basins with storage underneath and large mirror above, WC, bidet, electric shaver socket and a full height heated towel rail.
Bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel are provided per person along with complimentary White Company toiletries in each bathroom.
The seaward facing balcony is accessed from both the living area and master bedroom and offers the perfect position for enjoying the panoramic views across St Ives Bay, from St Ives to Godrevy Lighthouse. A table and four chairs are provided for guests to enjoy either al Fresco dining or simply experiencing the Cornish sunsets over St Ives.

The two bedroomed accommodation consists of a large lounge/dining room, separate kitchen, master bedroom with en-suite, a second bedroom with twin beds and a family bathroom. The lounge and master bedrooms both have uninterrupted views of Carbis Bay beach and across to St. Ives. There is an allocated parking space behind secure gates and additional parking can be arranged on request.

"A great holiday in Halfway Tree, it fully met all of our expectations in terms of furniture, fittings and outlook. The location and views over the bay were superb and the proximity to the railway made visiting St Ives a much more pleasant and convenient experience than driving and parking. The Coastal Walkway to St Ives was also very pleasant and not too challenging. The path to Lelant is a bit narrower, with more ups and downs and more restricted views - but providing access to the fabulous deserted beach. One of the best experiences we had was at Goonhilly Downs, at the Offroad Segway centre - approx 45 minutes from Carbis Bay. Eating out was all very good, the Badger being excellent value for money and the small Italian restaurant, Caffe Pasta, facing the harbour on the west side, providing a high quality and not too expensive lunch."
"It's fair to say that we did have a really good time in Carbis Bay. We were lucky to have some sunshine and also experienced the wrath of a Cornish storm which made for a dramatic afternoon watching the waves from the comfort of the front room. There is little praise to heap on the accommodation that you won't have heard before, it is a very well furnished flat with lots of space and light, and a brilliant kitchen. We decided, that in the many holidays we have had over the years - to the Caribbean, to many cities, New Zealand, Dubai etc - this is the most spectacular and inspirational view we have ever had. It really is a privilege to have woken up every day to such a beautiful scene - and in England! Regarding the restaurants, the pick of the bunch was the Porthminster Cafe with its signature monkfish curry dish, but you need to book and it's expensive. Mermaids was also excellent, as was Alba. For those going a bit further, Rick Stein's Seafood bar in Falmouth was superb with a tapas menu based on his travels around Spain and all delicious. We also went to see the Kidz R Us production of the Seussical while we were there - would recommend any visitors going to see their work if it is on at the time. Incredible energy from a talented group of kids. My husband had a great time building sandcastles and exploring the rocks with our son. Carbis Bay and the surrounding area is stunning offering an incredible ambiance and the perfect setting for a relaxed family holiday."

For late notice breaks ie arrivals within 7 days, all breaks are discounted by 25% unless the owner has set a minimum rental, the dates can overlap a changeover day if the Arrive Date is within 7 days.
Short stays of 3 nights minimum are available between October and March, excluding bank holidays and school holidays. If booked in advance, the short break cannot overlap a changeover day.
