"Ultramarine was a wonderful apartment, clean and very well equipped. The administration is very efficient. We particularly enjoyed a visit to the Minack Theatre."
“Our stay at Ultramarine was outstanding and we can't praise the apartment highly enough, we had a warm welcome from the housekeeper, and the welcome pack was very much appreciated. The owners have thought of everything that could be needed to make our stay so good and we would be more than happy to stay at Ultramarine again.”
“We had a superb time, didn't want to come home! The whole process of booking, arrival and departure and not to mention the standard of the apartment was first class as it was last year. Highly recommend you.”
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ultramarine and were particularly impressed with the high quality furnishings. The kitchen was amply stocked with quality utensils, crockery and glassware. We also enjoyed the comfortable bed and bedding which goes a long way. I was very impressed with every aspect of comfort and quality throughout."

"We enjoyed very much the apartment Ultramarine, we found it very very clean and tidy and furnished in a high spec fashion. We always walk into St Ives usually via the coastal path and occasionally along the road when visiting St Ives at night when there are no trains. We also often walk along the coastal path to Porth Kidney ( Hayle Towans) beach and love to do this when the tide is out also and we can walk this way along the beach. We had one trip out which was to Newlyn as I wanted to find a gallery there, we had a walk around and bought some locally caught Turbot there which was delicious. We dined at the Seafood restaurant on our first night out and had a splendid meal there also at the Loft on our second night. The view and everything else was great from this apartment and we felt quite at home whilst staying there."
"I loved Ultramarine - it has comfort, luxury, style and what a view! It is unbelievably well equipped and the position is fantastic - so easy for the beach and both the coastal walk and the train into St. Ives are a must. I wish I could have stayed longer. The contemporary styling was perfect for me, and I enjoyed all the colourful art on the walls. I look forward to staying in Ultramarine again and have no hesitation in recommending it to others."
"We had a really lovely time in Ultramarine, the apartment was just perfect for us - it truly was luxury. The accommodation was perfectly maintained and cleaned. We did some lovely walks along the coast, used the train once which was lovely, had a drink in The Sloop and found the staff in there friendly. We had a superb lunch at Alfresco's, excellent weather and great trips there and back which always helps with the enjoyment of any holiday. Ultimately, Ultramarine is an ideal apartment for a couple to hide away in, listen to the waves lapping on the sand and watch the changing colours of the sky."
"We had a lovely holiday at Ultramarine and it was every bit as good as we remembered. My teenage boys particularly enjoyed the additional technology on offer this year – the iPad was a real winner. We ate at most of the well known places in St Ives including the Sea Food Café and The Loft which was good, but I have to say I was impressed with the friendliness and quality of the food at the Badger Inn at Lelant and the small Italian La Casida (?) in Carbis Bay. Well worth a visit."
"We had a super time in Ultramarine as we always do at those apartments, friends who came with us were blown away at the place and credit to all of you for very good admin, your standards are very admirable so too the owners of that apartment. So I know you will have new customers after our visit. Some years since my first visit to Carbis Beach but its still retains its charm"
"The flat was extremely well-equipped, clean and comfortable, with the best view I’ve ever had. In fact it was sometimes difficult to read as I kept having to stare out of the window to watch the tides and weather! Learning how to use the I-pad was a real treat and the very generous basket of goodies was a lovely surprise. All in all would gladly recommend to anyone else and would love to come again-very handy being so near the station for someone using public transport."
"We were delighted with Ultramarine which was extremely well-equipped, clean and tidy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Carbis Bay and it’s a good location for travelling around north and south Cornwall"
"As always, I had a lovely stay in Carbis Bay, having returned to Ultramarine because it is such a lovely apartment. I did leave a leaflet in the apartment for a Chinese restaurant in St Ives, which was fantastic. I can't remember the name though. I did the usual walks along the coastal path to Hayle, to St Ives the other way and, of course, on the beach. I also found an excellent 'health clinic' just set back from the main streets in St Ives (near the Chinese restaurant) where I would recommend anyone to go who suffers from any pain or energy-related illness. A lot of the time, however, I just relaxed at the apartment, taking in the view and the sound of the sea, watching a load of films. Thanks for another lovely stay."
"Ultramarine was fantastic! One of the nicest places we've ever stayed in, the apartment itself was gorgeous and the ipad was a lovely touch. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with everything you could wish for and the rest of the accommodation was beautifully furnished. The location of the apartment was superb also. 2 mins walk from the train station and 2 mins walk from the beach, plus the balcony overlooked the beach was was amazing. Waking up the the sound of the waves every morning was idyllic. We didn't go on many walks but we did walk from the apartment to St Ives once. I would strongly recommend this (or at least getting the train), as driving in the centre of St Ives is difficult even at the quietest of times. We went for a few meals in St Ives and although we enjoyed each and every one, we particularly enjoyed The Loft., The Hub and Blas Burgerworks."
"We really enjoyed our stay at Ultramarine. The apartment was ideal for us having a 2 year old wanting to go on the beach every day ! The facilities were excellent and have nothing but praise for the accommodation both in terms of location and quality - we would definitely recommend it. Becks Fish and Chips were excellent and we had take away pasta and pizza from La Casita which was also very good. Recommend Trevaskis Farm Shop in Hayle - good shop and great cafe. Also walk around the farm was good (and free!). Had several coffees at Hub in St Ives - go upstairs for views of the harbour - and child friendly. We went to Paradise Park three times - excellent in door soft play centre and the animals and farm kept the children entertained."

"We had a lovely holiday thank you, the apartment was the most luxurious we have stayed in and the kitchen facilities were excellent it was a pleasure to stay in. We also enjoyed the Becks Fish Restaurant, we walked to St Ives (a very busy place!) several times the museum was very interesting and their volunteers were very friendly and knowledgeable."
"Fabulous apartment exceeding expectations. Location amazing. Really taken with st Ives area. Porthminster beach cafe in our opinion best eatery in the area! Godrevy cafe food and location brilliant."
"We had a lovely holiday at Ultramarine thank you, it was beautiful and very clean. It was furnished very luxuriously and it had everything we needed - it was very well equipped - the men especially enjoyed the iPad! We all loved the view and hearing the sound of the sea when we opened the windows. We especially enjoyed eating at Alba and Seagrass in St Ives. We hired bikes and did the coast to coast path which was great! Also enjoyed trips to Padstow and Mousehole as well as pottering around St Ives. "
"We had a fab holiday, it was made so much easier by all the equipment that was already in the apartment, everything was there for us and it made such a difference. Beautiful setting and beautiful accommodation."
"The apartment was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, well-equipped and peaceful, with a stunning view. We enjoyed the usual things over the week, including the complementary swim membership at the leisure centre, walks along the beach, visits to St Ives and some meals out. Thank you. I have no doubt we will return."
"We very much enjoyed our holiday at Ultramarine in Carbis Bay. The standard of the accommodation and cleanliness were very good. It was also the ideal location for being able to get in and out of busy St. Ives on the train without worrying about parking. We all enjoyed the Tate and the sculpture garden also the Restaurant on the beach opposite the Tate was very good."
The apartment was ideally situated, very clear and extremely well furnished. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely promote such a lovely property to any of our friends who will be looking for accommodation in the locality. We used the apartment as a base for walking a section of the south west coast path. We found that the railway to St Ives was very convenient for popping into St Ives in the evening and not having to worry about parking our car or driving after having had a drink.
"We have stayed at the Carbis Beach Apartments in all but one year since 2002. The decor of Ultramarine is by far the best of any of the apartments in which we have stayed. Having recently refurbished our own kitchen and bathrooms, we very much appreciated the quality of the fittings and attention to detail in the refurbishment of Ultramarine."
"We know Carbis Bay well. It's a beautiful place made even more enjoyable by our stay at Ultramarine. The location of the apartment couldn't be better and the attention to detail throughout the rooms is a delight! Hopefully we'll be back again soon."
"Ultramarine was outstanding. The quality of the furnishings and facilities within the apartment were excellent. The views from the lounge and bedroom were second to none. It was certainly the best accommodation we have stayed in."
"The location and accommodation were beautiful: we really enjoyed staying in Ultramarine. We had wonderful weather too so we really couldn't ask for much more!! We would certainly pop Carbis Bay and your agency at the top of our visiting list for Cornwall and very much hope to visit again soon."
"We would like to say that the accommodation "Ultramarine" was fabulous. All rooms refurbished to a very high standard and very clean and tidy on arrival."
"We are very pleased to say that everything met with our expectations. Having stayed at this apartment before, we have to say that the refurbishment is really superb and just what we are looking for when going on holiday, that extra edge makes all the difference."
