Two leather sofas and a large cushioned window seat provide a comfy spot for you to enjoy the view or a night in with a movie on the impressive 49” TV with Sky HD including Sports. A playstation III console with a selection of DVDs and games as well as a Bose soundlink mini II are provided for your enjoyment.
This delightful and stylish apartment continues the local connection with interesting prints and original artworks from local artists and stunning views of the communal gardens inspired by Barbara Hepworth.
The dining area is within the open plan living area, there is a glass topped table and four matching white chairs. Should you decide to have friends around for dinner the table extends to provide seating for six people and there are additional chairs located in the bedrooms.
There is amtico flooring thorugh with a selection of rugs and central heating.
The contemporary kitchen forms part of the open plan living area and takes full advantage of the amazing sea views. Ample storage can be found within the stylish units with lots of preparation space on the granite effect work tops for cooking up some delights. It is suitably appointed with an integrated Neff oven/grill, microwave, four ring ceramic hob, extractor fan, fridge, freezer washer/dryer and dishwasher as well as four slice toaster, Kettle, hand held blender and mixer.
The owners have taken care to ensure that you will have all the crockery, glassware and utensils you need in your luxurious home by the sea. For coffee lovers, there is a Tassimo coffee machine with complimentary tube of pods.
Located at the rear of the property and adjacent to the family bathroom this spacious bedroom has french doors which open onto a decked sun trap terrace allowing you to enjoy the fresh cornish air.
A sumptuous king size bed is luxuriously dressed for your comfort to ensure a good nights sleep. Matching 3 drawer bedside tables with lamps; a double wardrobe with hanging storage and 5 drawer chest of drawers provide ample storage. Vertical venetian blinds and lined curtains with fitted wool carpet complete the luxurious surroundings for a memorable holiday. A 32″HD LED Smart television and sky loop to living area television give you the perfect opportunity to catch up on your favourite viewing.
Located to the side of the property bedroom two boasts an ensuite, there are twin beds which can be arranged as a super-king (6ft) zip and link bed upon request. There is a bedside table with lamp, chest of drawers, mirror and double wardrobe providing ample hanging space and you will also find Venetian blinds, carpeted floor, a 32” television with loop to the Sky in the living area for your entertainment.
Luxury White Company Egyptian cotton bed linen and a hairdryer are provided in both bedrooms, along with a selection of high quality towels for each guest including a beach towel.
The family bathroom is located next to the bedroom one, there is a W.C., basin and p-shaped bath with overhead shower, attachment hose and screen, large mirror, shaver point, under floor heating, chrome heated towel rail and under sink storage.
En-suite to Bedroom Two
The en-suite bathroom to bedroom two offers a white suite comprising of a shower enclosure, WC, wash basin, a chrome heated towel rail, large mirror, undersink storage cupboard and shaver point.
A selection of luxurious towels are provided for each guest and complimentary White Company toiletries are provided in each bathroom.
The outside space at Chy-an-Kerris provides a wealth of options for guests. These facilities are shared between just the four apartments located in Chy-an-Kerris house.
On the seaward side to the front of Chy-an-Kerris, are two comfortable sun loungers perfectly positioned to drink in the views over the stunning sub-tropical gardens. The superb 180 degree coastal back drop is simply jaw-dropping. Here guests can see from St Ives right across to Hayle Towans and Godrevy Lighthouse.
Rear Sun Trap Courtyard
To the rear of the property is a shared decked courtyard area with superior quality garden furniture. This courtyard is a real sun-trap and provides a comfortable place to relax after a busy day out exploring the Cornish coastline.
Chy-an-Kerris is situated on Headland road and boasts panoramic views across Carbis Bay blue flag beach and St Ives. The house is set in beautiful sub-tropical gardens which have spectacular views. Former home of renowned artist Barbara Hepworth.
Chy-an-Kerris was once the home of the renowned local sculptor Barbara Hepworth and artist Ben Nicholson. It is available to rent as a holiday home in the form of separate apartments. A fascinating insight into the life of Barbara Hepworth can be found on her website. These well presented properties offer excellent accommodation for couples looking for a place to stay in Cornwall, with a clifftop position over Carbis Bay beach.
Notice of Building Works: There are building works for new apartments in the plot next to Chy an Kerris Apartments. Contractors are onsite and work will be carried out during weekdays and Saturday mornings but will cease for the rest of the weekend and bank holidays. They are seeking to keep any noise to a minimum.

Fantastic location with beautiful sea views.
Walking distance to Carbis Bay beach and St Ives harbour along the peaceful coastal path.
Apartment felt very clean and comfortable, it had everything we needed and more. Everything available was excellent quality and felt very luxurious.
One bedroom has an ensuite and the other links to the main bathroom so it is very private if staying with others.
It's the 3rd time we have stayed here and have already booked in our next stay. Can't wait to visit again.
High quality apartment that is great for rest and relaxation. The previous reviews paint a better picture of the apartment and its vast range of facilities than I can . The ease of access to the coastal path, the stunning ocean views and proximity to the train station were all as described and the apartment met every expectation from the publicity photographs.
There are ongoing demolition/re-building works on the plot next door but during my stay 14/7/2017 to 21/7/2017 there was little activity and little disturbance but that could well change as the building works get underway.
If your mobility isn't great and steps are a challenge to you I would recommend that you seek further advice in relation to the stepped access from the car parking area off Headland Road and the stepped access from the apartment to the coastal path

"We had a beautiful one week stay at Island View in Carbis Bay. The apartment was spotlessly clean with very modern technology throughout and has been decorated beautifully. The view from the huge window in the main living area is absolutely incredible and we spent a lot of time sitting in the window seat looking out to sea and enjoying the views. The apartment also has a large patio area that looks out over the view, a beautiful garden and direct access onto the coastal footpath which is ideal for people who enjoy exploring and walking. Another bonus of this apartment is that it's a few minutes walk to the train station which takes you straight into St Ives and a short walk to Carbis Bay beach and the surrounding restaurants.
I would highly recommend this apartment and we can't wait to return."

"We visited beautiful Carbis Bay last September and were fortunate enough to stay in Island View. The property had been very tastefully refurbished and has a spectacular view across the bay and towards St Ives. We visited with our son and his fiancée and the apartment was more than adequately furnished for four adults, with en suite and main bathroom. Everything was very high standard and catered for all our needs. Sit in the window seat and gaze out across the fantastic vista, watching the sea change colour and the lights of St Ives at night. The train station is an easy 5 minute walk away and the Coastal Path runs at the bottom of the garden for a steady and beautiful walk to St Ives or a longer walk all along the coast to Hayle. We definitely hope to return soon."

For late notice breaks ie arrivals within 7 days, all breaks are discounted by 25% unless the owner has set a minimum rental, the dates can overlap a changeover day if the Arrive Date is within 7 days.
Short stays of 3 nights minimum are available between October and March, excluding bank holidays and school holidays. If booked in advance, the short break cannot overlap a changeover day.
