Golva has a spacious fully carpeted lounge with a large bay window that affords spectacular views across St Ives Bay, from St Ives in one direction to Godrevy Lighthouse and beyond in the other. There is a 37″ LCD Freeview television with full Sky package including Movies and Sport, a Blu-Ray DVD player, Nintendo Wii and a CD/MP3/iPod Hi-Fi system. There are two settees providing comfortable seating for guests to relax and enjoy the wonderful panoramic views, also a telescope for spotting dolphins and other activity in the Bay. “Golva” translates to “Lookout” in Cornish.
You will also find in the lounge sideboard a “Welcome Guide” which is packed with information on what there is to do in the surrounding area, pub and restaurant guides, a selection of games, books, CD’s and DVD’s as well as local O.S. maps and map case and walking guides for the more energetic.
Golva has a spacious hallway that allows access to all the other areas. There is a secure entry system, coat rack, shoe rack, walking poles for the energetic and umbrellas for those unfortunate rainy days.
There is comfortable seating at the dining table for four with views out across the bay. You are rather spoilt for choice with the number of quality restaurants nearby; some do offer a takeaway service or alternatively, buy some local produce and prepare your meal at home and enjoy the comfort of your apartment.
Golva benefits from a modern fitted kitchen with NEFF built in appliances, including an electric circotherm cooker, gas hob, tall fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and full sized dishwasher. There is a waste disposal unit and microwave as well as everything else you would expect from an apartment of this quality. The kitchen window overlooks the well maintained courtyard area of Compass Point.
Bedroom One with En-suite
The fully carpeted master bedroom has a large wardrobe, bedside cabinets, a chest of drawers and a dressing table with mirror above, providing plenty of storage space. You can watch television on the 19″ LCD Freeview TV with DVD player. From the comfort of your king size bed, you have the same spectacular views as the lounge so it is a pleasure to wake up in the morning, draw back the curtains and gaze across Carbis Bay beach to St Ives. A radio alarm with an Ipod interface is provided so you can listen to your music or even wake up to it if you want to.
The second bedroom of Golva is fitted with twin beds, large wardrobe, bedside cabinet, a chest of drawers, mirror and stool and a radio alarm complete with an Ipod interface. Although not enjoying the views, this quiet room has a Juliet balcony and will ensure you sleep well.
All bed linen and towels (face flannel, hand towel, bath towel and bath sheet per person) plus a hairdryer are provided, as well as two chairs for outside use on those sunny days.
The main family bathroom of Golva has a wash basin, WC, bath with shower overhead, heated towel rail and modern bathroom fittings. A perfect place to take a long soak after a hard day on the beach.
The en-suite to the master bedroom of Golva has a shower, wash basin, WC, heated towel rail and shaving point.
High quality bath sheet, bath towel, hand towel and flannels are provided for each guest and complimentary White Company toiletries are provided in each bathroom.
There is a communal terrace for guests’ to enjoy the views and two chairs are provided for use outside.

“My wife and I were very impressed with the comfort and cleanliness of the flat. It was great to be met by The Housekeeper and taken to the flat, where the welcome pack of milk, tea and coffee etc was most welcome. We had a very enjoyable time, and will certainly consider staying at Golva on any future visit to Carbis Bay.”
"We had a great holiday and the Golva Apartment was lovely, and we would certainly like to return sometime. We can highly recommend two of the restaurants we visited on holiday, one was the Seafood Cafe in St Ives where we enjoyed the fish menu, also the sweet was to die for; the other one was Becks fish restaurant in Carbis again we had fish and everything was cooked to perfection. We also visited numerous tearooms where we enjoyed excellent cups of coffee and cakes. The one pub meal we had was at the Union Pub, which was very good and had a friendly atmosphere. "
"Golva was spotless, and really had the wow factor when we first arrived. Beautiful location and the seaview was gorgeous. Every room was well set out spotlessly clean and well equipt with everything we needed. The restaurants we went to was The Hub and the Ccean Grill in St Ives. We also went to the Lifeboat pub for drinks after. The beach was lovely and clean and when the sun was shining you could easily mistake that you was in a Mediterranean resort. Beautiful."
"What a fabulous holiday we had , Golva exceeded our expectations and the view was really awesome, we visited the Minack and thoughtfully the sun came out and afforded us a spectacular day out, we also visited the beach and found it to be of excellent quality and safe to bath. The film set for Doc Martin at St Isaac was worth the visit. The local transport to St Ives on the single track railway was easy and affordable, and the numerous cafes and restaurants particularly along the harbour front were excellent."

Regularly walked into St Ives along the cliff path and particularly enjoyed eating at Blas burgers and the Fish Restaurant. We regularly used the Carbis Bay train link in both directions and the coast path from Carbis to St Ives was also regularly walked, it has to be walked for the fabulous views. We visited Eden and Trevarno gardens and took wonderful photographs, we spent the day on Carbis Beach on Thursday and enjoyed sandcastles and ice-creams. For late notice breaks ie arrivals within 7 days, all breaks are discounted by 25% unless the owner has set a minimum rental, the dates can overlap a changeover day if the Arrive Date is within 7 days.
Short stays of 3 nights minimum are available between October and March, excluding bank holidays and school holidays. If booked in advance, the short break cannot overlap a changeover day.
