"We returned last night from a lovely holiday at your Sheerwater property. We didn't have a pen with us so couldn't fill in the visitors book but I wanted to let you know what a fantastic property it is, fully equipped with all we could want, spotlessly clean and just first class in every way!
Also wanted to say thank you to you all at Carbis Bay Holidays for the bottle of champagne, chocolates and scones. It was a very pleasant treat to receive and much appreciated.
We've used Carbis Bay Holidays for a number of years now and tried various holiday homes you have and I have to say your standards in properties are excellent and frankly out of all the other holiday companies in St Ives and Carbis Bay, I don't think anyone comes near your criteria and high standards. So we will continue to visit Cornwall using your properties as there is no need to look elsewhere!
Much thanks once again for all you do in making our holiday relaxing and special."
"We enjoyed our holiday very much. Shearwater was perfect for us. Very handy for the train to St Ives, also just a short stroll to the beach. The facilities at Shearwater were extremely good, so much so that unusually for us we ate in three nights! The balcony was ideal to sit out and just listen to the sea, The Shack on the beach at Carbis Bay was excellent value for money, the burgers, although took 50mins to arrive were handmade on the site, the best we've tasted, brilliant setting too. The south coast path to Lelant was well worth walking the views of Porthkidney beach are spectacular. The whole holiday was brilliant, thank you for organising everything for us. We look forward to coming back & bringing other members of our family too!"
"Highlights of Shearwater were the fact that the flat was well-stocked with books, DVDs and most pleasingly, everything we needed for the beach. Very close to the station and beach which made life very easy for us. The standard of the accommodation, linen, cleanliness, facilities, etc was very high and made our stay very comfortable. In terms of Cornwall and day trips, it was our first time and we spent most of it on Carbis bay beach, however we enjoyed a day trip into St Ives and loved out visits to people to St Michael's Mount and Mousehole village."
"We couldn’t fault the accommodation. Lovely welcome from the housekkper, apartment was spick and span and spotlessly clean. Good quality furnishings – lovely comfortable beds, bath towels thick and luxurious. Everything we needed was provided for. As regards eating out – For a carvery The Badger Inn was great value and service. Cafe Pasta in the harbour at St Ives is always superb and this time I had a fillet steak- out of this world!! And nearby The Tea Shop do great “door steps” for lunch. For the best bread try the Oven Door."
"We had a splendid time at Shearwater. We found the place well appointed and to a very high spec and of course the views and the location were superb. We visited St Ives a lot, via the railway, and that of course is universally renowned. Tate St Ives, though a fabulous building, is really only for aficionados of modern art ! We had an absolutely splendid Chrsitmas Lunch at the Carbis Bay hotel and I would certainly reommend a visit, even if only to sit in their fabulous conservatory overlooking the bay. There are plenty of good walks all around, the local Tescos is extremely handy and carries all you need. The welcome pack you put in was very welcome, and the flat was nicely decorated for Christmas so thank you. All in all, one of our most successful holidays !"
"We had a very pleasant time in Shearwater, we had a warm welcome we did come in a very clean flat and felt at home from the first moment. The flat is very charming - nice furnitures and very harmonic, the kitchen had every thing we needed - even more. The view is great.
We really apreciated that we could use some things for the beach."
