Ocean View has an spacious open plan living area with stunning views across St Ives Bay, your eyes will always be drawn towards the patio doors where the views and colours will both inspire and relax you. There is a large corner group leather settee and a 42″ LCD Freeview TV with full Sky package, including Movies and Sport. A Nintendo Wii with iPod docking station are provided for your entertainment. A second sofa area gives you a chance to get away from it all with a quiet book and a stunning view. The built-in cupboard contains a selection of DVD’s, CD’s, books and games for those lazy days indoors. One of the outstanding features of Ocean View is the wide patio balcony that opens from the lounge, beautifully lit at night time this can be used for al fresco dining or just relaxing and enjoying the stunning views across St Ives Bay at any time of the day. The lounge also has a superb lighting system where the lights can be dimmed and adjusted to reflect your mood.
The dining area of Ocean View is part of the open plan living accommodation and enjoys the stunning views across St Ives Bay, so although you will be tempted by the superb choice of restaurants in the area, dining-in will be a pleasure. The dining furniture is marble with seating for six people. The intelligent lighting system can be changed to reflect you mood.
There is a Welcome Guide provided with a wealth of information about the area, the restaurant reviews in our Visitor Book will also help you decide where to dine out. A number of take away restaurants offer services allowing you to dine at one of the best tables in Carbis Bay – try the Ocean View dining room for one of the best views in town!
Ocean View has a fully fitted luxury kitchen with all the latest integral appliances including a Neff cooker and hob, microwave, washer-dryer and dishwasher. You will find all the kitchen gadgets that a gourmet chef would be pleased with, also including a coffee maker, toaster and kettle. There may not be any arguments as to who does the cooking or washing up, the kitchen of Ocean View is part of the open living area and so enjoys the stunning views across St Ives Bay. In addition there is a breakfast bar with stools, provided for anyone who would prefer to keep chef company.
Bedroom One with En-Suite
The Master Bedroom of Ocean View is a sunny room to the rear of the apartment. With a king size bed, fitted wardrobes, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets with reading lights, this relaxing room will provide a comfortable night’s rest leaving you fresh for a busy day on the beach, walking the coastal paths or discovering the delights of Cornwall. For your entertainment, there is an LCD Freeview TV and a hairdryer is also provided. There is a superbly fitted en-suite to the master bedroom with contemporary white Italian designer sanitaryware.
Ocean View has a sunny rear aspect second bedroom that features a Juliette balcony to catch the evening sun. Furnished with twin beds, there is plenty of storage provided with wardrobe, dressing table and bedside cabinet with reading light. For your entertainment, there is an LCD Freeview TV and a hairdryer is also provided.
Luxury white bed linen is provided on all beds, along with a selection of quality towels.
The superb contemporary family bathroom offers a WC, wash basin, bath with overhead shower and a shaver point. This spacious bathroom has been beautifully tiled with sandstone, the fittings are sleek chrome and the sanitary ware is white Italian design.
The en-suite to the master bedroom is also furnished in the same superb contemporary style with a white Italian basin, WC, shower enclosure mirror and shaver socket. There is also a beautiful feature wall of a textural sandstone tiles.
A bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel are provided for each guest. Complimentary toiletries are also provided in each bathroom.
One of the great features of Ocean View is a spacious patio balcony, with stunning views across St Ives Bay. You can get up early to enjoy the sunrise over Hayle and Godrevy and then relax in the evening and watch the sunset over St Ives. There are two tables and four chairs on the patio balcony which is thoughtfully designed with blue lighting to provide a restful ambiance in the evening, enjoy alfresco dinners, a perfectly chilled bottle of wine or just relax and watch the views. The communal gardens of The Sands in front of the apartment have been carefully designed with shrubs and trees.

The delightful single line rail connection is perhaps the most scenic rail journey in the UK, linking St. Ives to Penzance. We have just returned from a fantastic week in Ocean View. The apartment is beautiful and so well equipped, it has an enormous lounge and the views are outstanding. Carbis Bay Holidays are always our first port of call when visiting Cornwall, they have superb properties and high standards when it comes to cleanliness etc. We have already booked one of their properties for next year and are considering another for later this year.

"The apartment is wonderfully appointed with all the luxuries required needed to make our stay comfortable. I am sure you have heard it many times before but the biggest factors, the fantastic view of the St Ives headland, the space in the apartment and the great fittings make this an excellent place! The kitchen holds all the utensils and appliances necessary to cater for oneself and the apartment’s security and quite peace sets it apart. We had a fantastic meal at 15 on Watergate Bay and also a great lunch on the terrace at the Porthmeor Hotel now called St Ives Harbour Hotel. Both are highly recommended. In addition I would direct guest to the Porthminster Gallery down at Westcott Quay. Some truly wonderful art/sculpture pieces which we ended up investing in!"
"We had a lovely stay at Ocean View. The apartment didn’t disappointment and lived up to our expections! The interior was of a very high specification and it was warm and comfortable. It was also very clean and well equipped. Julie was there to welcome us, which immediately made us feel at home and the cream tea was a nice surprise. The apartment was also very quiet. The views were spectacular and the position of the property was perfect for the train to St Ives and also the local shops. My boys are aged 10 and 8 and they particularly enjoyed the Eden Project. Also they went go-karting which is only a five minute drive from the apartment. We all enjoyed the Badger Inn which was family friendly and good value. The local fish and chips were also very good."
"Ocean View is exactly as expected i.e. a high standard of cleanliness, very good facilities, regarding a nice eating place I have always enjoyed 'Peppers' in the Centre of St. Ives. We took Coastal Path walks initially from Carbis Bay to St.Ives then two days later from Carbis bay to Hayle and back.The Train Branch Line connections are usually every hour stopping at Carbis Bay but most stations are visited on the half hour. Its very reasonable i.e. a £1 per person each way, the last train back on a Saturday from St.Ives is 10:05pm."

"Ocean View is an excellent property with fantastic views over St Ives and Carbis Bay. The apartment is of an exceptionally high standard with fixtures and fittings of a very high quality iindeed. The location was great with the little railway line to St Ives, the beach and the south west coast peninsular path all within a few minutes. We didn't really bother to use the car during our week as we prefer a central location with good walks from the door and public transport nearby. We also enjoyed the luxury of the flat, the views, the lovely sofas and all the comforts of home - and more! We loved the games compendium and that helped on wet days. We did the coastal walk to Lelant then were lucky enough to be just in time (after a good pub lunch at the Badger) to catch the open top bus back to St Ives and then finish our circular walk back to Carbis Bay.We had a memorable evening at the Porthminster Cafe."

For late notice breaks ie arrivals within 7 days, all breaks are discounted by 25% unless the owner has set a minimum rental, the dates can overlap a changeover day if the Arrive Date is within 7 days.
Short stays of 3 nights minimum are available between October and March, excluding bank holidays and school holidays. If booked in advance, the short break cannot overlap a changeover day.
