Glenside offers a magical setting for a family seeking a stylish Cornish seaside adventure. A glorious garden, a writers study and a hidden wardrobe present an exciting holiday home full of surprises. Your first starts as you open the garden gate, discovering a Cornish Stone seaside escape featuring lush landscaped gardens. The second surprise is the stunning sea views that lie beyond the garden, endlessly stretching out into the ocean beyond. The owner’s children have loved growing up in this house and now want other families to share in this incredible experience. Your children will have fun searching for the hidden wardrobe, surprise number three. Once it’s found, just like in the classic fantasy, The Chronicles of Narnia’s “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” you can walk right through it. The study’s outstanding coastal views may even inspire you to sit down at the beautiful writing desk, to create your own characters for a Cornish seaside tale. This large country house, with four comfortable bedrooms and four bathrooms, offers ample space both inside and out for a family get together or celebration by the ocean. The landscaped gardens offer a sun terrace for dining alfresco and a heated breeze house with wonderful sea views. Enjoy taking the footpath from the garden to the beach and train station, avoiding the use of cars or busy roads.
The living area is a fabulous space to relax, with charming exposed Cornish stone walls, a electric wall mounted fireplace which is lovely to warm your toes. Cosy up on the comfy sofas or relax into an easy chair in the glass conservatory with your favorite book. St Ives unique natural light beams in through the glass of the conservatory and a good sized window, making the whole living space light and airy. Views of the tropical plants outside offer an idyllic setting to just sit back, relax, and while away the hours. There is plenty of seating with two comfy sofas and two easy chairs for the whole family to relax in front of the 42” 4K Samsung curved TV and enjoy a movie on Netflix.
If you need some time to yourself, a study is located just off the living area offering a separate space to relax in. Here you can sit at the authentic writers desk and let the superb sea views inspire you to be truly creative writing your postcards, or your next chapter of a Cornish novel. An authentic fireplace with an ornate mirror above, displays the true character of this classic house. Recline into the two seater sofa, or a comfy chair with a glass of wine and enjoy the tranquillity of this room, with its sea views and artwork by Monet.
The open plan country kitchen and dining area, offers ample space to create your culinary classics without being tucked away from the group. Start the day socializing with your family sitting around the breakfast bar, which seats four, or spread out in comfort in the dining area. This well appointed kitchen has a large Rangemaster gas range cooker with five rings, two ovens, a grill and warming plate, a Samsung microwave, Russell Hobbs four slice toaster with matching kettle, Magimix Nespresso coffee machine and an American style fridge freeze with water dispenser.
