Ideally situated within Chy an Porth on The Terrace, this fine granite building was built by Leslie Stephen, father of the acclaimed author Virginia Woolf. This beautiful apartment is in a perfect location for walking into St Ives town with its galleries, boutique shops, restaurants and picturesque harbour or heading down to Porthminster Beach for the day. Large windows and a triple bay allow the Cornish light to flood in and perfectly frame the panoramic views of St Ives Bay and Porthminster Beach.

Living Area

The wonderfully spacious living area can be found off the entrance hallway. This impressive carpeted room is flooded with light through the windows and doors that lead out to the private balcony. The panoramic sea views are magnificent, sweeping across from St Ives and over Porthminster Beach to Godrevy lighthouse with the north Cornish coast beyond.

The apartment has been stylishly decorated with thoughtful provision made to make this a home from home. Choose your perfect spot on the two luxurious sofas or two armchairs and gaze at the seaside scenes before you or wander onto the balcony and enjoy an alfresco drink. When you tire of the maritime scenes make the most of the comprehensive entertainment package provided, which includes a 48″ HD Smart TV with Sky, Sony DVD player with a selection of DVD’s, Sonos sound system and Netflix subscription giving you access to a hosts of films, TV series, cartoons and much more. There are useful USB charging points provided within the living and dining area plug sockets should you need to charge your own gadgets.

Dining Area

The dining area is situated within the open plan living space and is furnished with a hardwood table with six cream leather dining chairs. From here you can take advantage of the sea views through the French doors, as well as for socialising with those preparing dinner in the kitchen. If you decide to venture out into St Ives there are plenty of restaurants to tempt you including the award winning Porthminster Beach Café which is conveniently located within a couple of minutes walk.

Entrance Hallway

When entering this stunning apartment, you are greeted into a welcoming hallway where you will find useful hooks for hanging coats and ample space for shoes and boots. A large cupboard provides additional space for hanging coats and houses the washer/dryer, heated airier, ironing board and iron.

Kitchen

The contemporary kitchen comprises of white high gloss units teamed with black corian work tops and splash backs with a large breakfast bar and three white leather bar stools, for socialising whilst preparing the meal. It is suitably appointed with an integrated Neff oven/grill, microwave, 4 ring ceramic hob, extractor fan, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. The owners have taken care to ensure that you will have all the crockery, glassware and utensils you need in your luxurious home by the sea. For coffee lovers, you are sure to enjoy the Nespresso coffee machine with complimentary tube of pods. In addition you will find a toaster, kettle, Nutribullet, hand blender, food processor/mixer and all the utensils, pots and pans you could possibly need to cook up a delicious meal.

Should you need to catch up on emails or write a postcard or two there is a useful desk area with swivel chair located next to kitchen within the living area ideal for those who need to keep in touch with the wider world whilst you are away.

Bedroom One with En-suite

This bright and spacious bedroom is located to the rear of the property and has a large window which is sumptuously dressed with a blackout blind and curtains. It is carpeted throughout with a king size bed with matching bedside tables with lamps. The large built-in double wardrobes and chest of drawers ensure you have ample space to stow away your belongings and a large mirror is provided. For your entertainment there is a 32″ LCD HD TV with Freeview. Bedroom One benefits from its own fully tiled en-suite shower room with complimentary White Company toiletries.

Bedroom Two

The bedroom two is also located to the rear of the property, the twin single beds can be arranged as a superking zip and link on request. A large built-in double wardrobe and drawers offers plentiful hanging and shelf storage. A bedside table with lamp, mirrored dressing table, vanity mirror and chair are also provided.

Luxury cotton bed linen and a hairdryer are provided in both bedrooms, along with a selection of high quality towels for each guest.

Family Bathroom

The spacious family bathroom is located off the entrance hallway and is tiled throughout. Comprising a bath, showver enclosure with shower, WC, wash basin, chrome heated towel rail, a large mirror with vanity mirror and shaver point.

Bedroom One En-suite

The en-suite to bedroom one boasts the same superb contemporary style with floor and wall tiles and comprises a large walk in showver, WC, wash basin, heated chrome towel rail, shaver point, and mirror with vanity light.

A selection of high quality towels are provided per person along with complimentary White Company Toiletries.

Balcony

The private front facing balcony is positioned above Porthminster beach and benefits from stunning views across St Ives Bay. A bistro table and two matching chairs are provided for alfresco dining, drinks or making the most of the fresh Cornish air and sun.

In order to make a booking, please either click on the Booking Calendar dates or enter your Arrive and Depart dates of your holiday, please bear in mind these should be a Changeover Day during April to October or in any school holiday period, unless at late notice.

For late notice breaks ie arrivals within 7 days, all breaks are discounted by 25% unless the owner has set a minimum rental, the dates can overlap a changeover day if the Arrive Date is within 7 days.

Short stays of 3 nights minimum are available between October and March, excluding bank holidays and school holidays. If booked in advance, the short break cannot overlap a changeover day.
