This stunning four bedroom self catering villa at Barn-a-Woon has been beautifully renovated and is centrally, yet peacefully located, with the harbour, town centre, Fore Street and beaches close by.

Entering the Property

Accessing Good Times is most conveniently via the rear door which brings you into the first floor hallway where useful under stair storage can be found. Alternatively, the front door can be accessed via steps to the side of Barn-a-Woon or via the gardens steps which lead up from Virgin Street.

Living Area

The spacious open plan living area is located on the first floor and boasts spectacular dual aspect views over Downalong and across the harbour via the large bay window and two further window seats. Solid wooden flooring is laid throughout and two oversized designer sofas seating eight are perfectly positioned for taking in the views. Alternatively, why not enjoy the entertainment package which includes a 42” Smart LED television with Sky including Movies and Sports and boxsets, Blu-ray player with a selection of films, Nintendo Wii with a selection of games, CD player with DAB radio and iPod dock and complimentary Wi-Fi.

The living area has been thoughtfully designed with respect to the original Victorian character of the building whilst creating a bright and open plan area. The modern and mid-century design furniture has created a relaxing contemporary feel in keeping with its Cornish seaside location.

Dining Area

A large solid wooden table seating up to ten guests can be found within the open plan living area and is perfectly positioned between the lounge and kitchen so those who are cooking don’t need to feel excluded.

Enjoy social meals in with all of the family, or alternatively, St Ives has a fantastic selection of restaurants to indulge in, all within a hop, skip and a jump of Good Times. The Porthmeor Beach Café is only a three minute walk away and offers fabulous tapas dishes whilst watching the sun go down.

Kitchen

The contemporary u-shaped kitchen with dual aspect windows is located on the first floor, towards the rear of the open plan living area. Ample storage can be found within the shaker style units and plentiful preparation space is available on the wooden work top. A stylish Belfast sink takes centre stage and integral appliances include a Bosch double oven, microwave, five ring gas hob with extractor above and dishwasher. Equipped to a high standard to make sure you can entertain your friends and family, with a wide selection of crockery and utensils. A Gaggia espresso maker, kettle and toaster are also provided.

The laundry facilities are housed in the en-suite at the back of the house on the ground floor, with a separate washer and dryer.

Bedroom One with En-suite

Located on the second floor to the front of the house, the spectacular master bedroom penthouse suite is incredibly spacious and offers one of the best panoramic views in St Ives. Step up into heaven with its king size bed with matching bedside tables and reading lamps, 32” Smart LED Freeview television with Sky, under floor heating, large separate dressing room with ample storage and full length mirror, lounge seating, en-suite bathroom and magnificent private roof terrace.

Bedroom Two with En-suite

Located on the ground floor, bedrooms two and three are fully carpeted and are accessed via the staircase down from the open plan living area. Bedroom two is situated to the front of Good Times and enjoys harbour views from the bay window. A king size metal bed with matching bedside tables, reading lamps, built-in wardrobe, 32″ LED Freeview Smart television and hairdryer are all provided.

Bedroom Three with En-suite

Situated to the rear of the ground floor, bedroom three is spacious and has double French doors which lead out onto a secluded patio area, perfect for enjoying a quite read in the afternoon sun. Twin beds with matching bed side tables, reading lamps, wardrobe and hairdryer are provided.

Bedroom Four

Stairs lead up to the second floor where bedroom four is located. A single bed with guest trundle bed underneath is provided, sleeping either one adult comfortably or two children. This bright room gains the afternoon sun and has a window which looks to the rear of the house and a further Velux window allows additional light to flood the room. A beside table, reading lamp and wardrobe are all provided.

Luxury White Company cotton bed linen is provided in both bedrooms with a selection of high quality towels for each guest.

Bathroom One

The superb en-suite to the master bedroom is very spacious and is tiled throughout with contemporary ceramics. You will find his and hers sinks, a large walk in rainfall shower, freestanding bath, under floor heating and a heated towel rail for keeping your towels nice and toasty. A vanity table with mirror and hairdryer is positioned in the dormer window, providing an abundance of natural light.

Bathroom Two

Bedroom two also provides an en-suite bathroom with a white suite which comprises of bath with shower overhead, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail.

Bathroom Three

The en-suite to bedroom three used to be the old fish shed and has now been converted into a stylish bathroom. You can still see lots of little quirks, including the old fish shoot. The white suite comprises of a bath with shower overhead, WC and wash basin. A built-in cupboard is home to a washing machine and separate tumble dryer.

Shower Room

An additional shower room can be found off the first floor hallway. A shower cubicle, WC and wash basin are provided.

A selection of high quality towels comprising of bath sheet and hand towel are provided per person. Complimentary White Company toiletries are also provided.

Staying in Cornwall is all about the outdoors and whilst very centrally located in the heart of St Ives, Good Times offers no less than 4 separate outdoor areas.

Garden

The front garden is located on the ground floor in front of bedroom two and offers the perfect place to sit and enjoy alfresco meals. This garden is fully decked. A Weber barbecue is provided along with outdoor seating. Views from this raised deck stretch across Downalong, the harbour and the bay.

Roof Terrace

The piece de resistance is the roof terrace, accessed through fully glazed double French doors from the master penthouse suite. The 180 degree jaw dropping panoramic views across Porthmeor beach, the harbour, bay and the Island make for the perfect backdrop for a summery breakfast.

Rear Patios

Two small patios are located to the rear of the property, ideal for enjoying a quiet cuppa with a good holiday novel.

The first patio is south facing and forms part of the rear entrance. A set of steps then lead down to the second patio which can also be accessed via bedroom three’s double French doors.

In order to make a booking, please either click on the Booking Calendar dates or enter your Arrive and Depart dates of your holiday, please bear in mind these should be a Changeover Day during April to October or in any school holiday period, unless at late notice.

For late notice breaks ie arrivals within 7 days, all breaks are discounted by 25% unless the owner has set a minimum rental, the dates can overlap a changeover day if the Arrive Date is within 7 days.

Short stays of 3 nights minimum are available between October and March, excluding bank holidays and school holidays. If booked in advance, the short break cannot overlap a changeover day.
