Cornwall offers a warm glow to dark cold nights, with its towns lit with twinkly lights and processions of hand-made lantern. Charming markets pop up all over Cornwall over Christmas, offering local produce and handmade Christmas gifts. In Truro, Boscawen Street is at the heart of the shopping as well as the quaint Lemon Quay.
The Winter Gift Fayre
Lemon Quay will be hosting a winter market with 80+ stalls from all over the south-west that will feature quality gifts, food, drink and street food making your walkabout truly festive. Running over nine days and late night shopping evenings here are the opening times:

Truro High Street Christmas Shopping

Falmouth Christmas Shopping
The seaside town of Falmouth really gets into the festive season offering a variety of events. This year there will be the debut of “The Falmouth Christmas Bus”, an open top double decker bus which will be on show at the Christmas lights switch-on, due to take place in front of hundreds of people at 7 pm on Thursday 29th November on The Moor.

Falmouth at Christmas is very lively with shops staying open until 8pm on certain days throughout the festive period (dates TBC). With both the old and new high street getting involved and plenty of restaurants to pop into during your shopping journey; head to Falmouth for some festive shopping and treat yourself to a mince pie.

Falmouth High Street Christmas Shopping
Falmouth has a handful of big fashion stores such as New Look, but the town truly shines when it comes to locally run, independent stores. From art galleries to fudge shops, outdoor wear and a good measure of surf stores thrown in; there’s something for everyone in Falmouth.
Following on from the colourful evening of the “light switch on”, the Christmas Bus will feature at various locations in the town centre throughout December. Dates to be confirmed.
Penzance Christmas Shopping
This year Penzance has chosen “Winter Wonderland” as their festive theme, the official Christmas lights switch-on takes place at 4:30 pm on Saturday 30th November, with a festive market, music and entertainment.
The festive market will run from 2pm – 6pm with a variety of stalls from arts and crafts to food. Market Jew Street will also host a Youth Market from Pop Up Penzance.

Penzance is a hub of creativity and full of artists has some lovely independent shops which will go all out to make your Christmas shopping experience a success.
