    “Very comfortable, clean and well appointed.”

    Small point, the main door and the two patio door latches need oiling, all three are difficult to lock fully, otherwise well maintained and homely. My first trip on my own for 4 years, very relaxing and so many lovely memories.

This beautiful spacious ground floor apartment boasts a private terrace with access from the living area and bedroom, perfect for making the most of the cornish sun and fresh air which taking in the sea glimpses. Beach Retreat as been stylishly furnished through out with coastal colours that compliment its maritime position. With a full Sky package and free Superfast broadband, as well as being close to rail line into St Ives, and SW Coast path for getting out and about. Beach Retreat is a lovely child friendly self catering apartment perfect for couples with an infant, or for those who are looking for romantic break. Highlights - Beach Retreat is located in Compass Point apartments in Carbis Bay and is on the ground floor. - Regret no pets. No smoking. Entertainment - Complimentary unlimited Superfast wireless internet - 32" LCD Television with full Sky package including Sports & Movies in the living area. - CD, MP3 player and radio. - DVD player with selection of DVDs. - LCD TV with with freeview to Master Bedroom. - Selection of board games, library of books, O.S. Maps and information on the local area. For Families - Complimentary travel cot and booster seat available. - We request that guests' provide their own cot bedding. Access - Access to the apartment from the parking area is along a sloping path and then up 25 shallow steps. - Detailed access statement available on request. Parking - An allocated parking space is provided, with additional visitor bays available on a first come first served basis. Living Area Living Area The spacious living area ihas limestone floors throughout with large rug and a large bay window with french door leading to the private terrace with sea glimpses across St Ives Bay. A 32inch HDTV with full Sky package including Sports, Movies & Atlantic, DVD and MP3 player, radio and CD player are provided for your entertainment. A large sofa and cream leather armchair and matching footstool provide ample seating for guests. The owners have provided a selection of reading lamps and dimmable lighting allowing you to set the mood. Dining Area The dining area is located within the spacious living area, there is a glass table provided with four aqua chairs. If you choose not to eat in, you are rather spoilt for choice with a number of quality restaurants nearby. Some restaurants in St Ives do offer a takeaway service; alternatively you can prepare your meal at home and enjoy it in the comfort of your apartment. If the weather is favourable then of course you may choose to dine on the patio terrace with table and chairs for four. This private and secluded terrace has assorted tropical plants to enhance the Mediterranean atmosphere. Hallway Beahc Retreat has a spacious hallway that allows access to all the other areas of this bright apartment. There is space for hanging coats and keeping walking boots or wellies after an energetic day exploring the beautiful beach and coastline on your doorstep. Kitchen Kitchen Beach Retreat has a kitchen that is fully fitted and equipped with all that you need for days when you want to "eat in". An oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and washing machine/dryer are provided, along with a good selection of utensils, crockery and glassware. But be sure to try out some of the many excellent pubs and restaurants in St Ives and Carbis Bay. Leave the car at Beach Retreat and take the little train that takes you on a scenic coastal ride into St Ives within five minutes. Sleeping Bedroom One with En-Suite The master bedroom is furnished with a king size bed, double wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside drawers with reading lamps. Once you have relaxed to the pace of Cornwall there will always be the temptation of breakfast on the patio terrace just through the bedroom doors. Aptly named Beach Retreat, this romantic apartment has double access to the patio from the lounge and the master bedroom and is a particularly delightful feature of the property. An LCD television with freeview is provided for those lazy mornings in bed. A hairdryer is also provided. The en-suite to the master bedroom has a bath, hand-held shower, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail. Luxury white cotton bed linen is provided along with fluffy white towels. Bathrooms Bathroom One The en-suite to the master bedroom has a bath with shower overhead, wash basin, WC, heated towel rail and vanity mirror. Bathroom Two If you prefer a shower, there is a separate shower room which is fully tiled with travertine style ceramics and provides a shower cubilcle, WC and wash basin with mirror and wall mounted shaver point/light above. A bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel are provided per person. Outside Patio One of the delights of this apartment is that there is direct access to the patio from both the lounge and the master bedroom, a real Cornish retreat. It is completely safe and enclosed and is the perfect spot to sit with a drink and plan the day's activities. Alternatively, in the evening, take a glass of wine on to the shared terrace that fronts Compass Point and watch the sun set over St Ives. Beach Retreat provides a romantic hideaway for both couples and young families.

Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country; St Ives additionally makes for a great day out, with plenty of galleries to explore. The quayside town of Hayle also isn't far and is home to activities for the all the family, including a golf and a wildlife sanctuary. The Godrevy Nature Reserve and Penwith Heritage Coast are also within easy reach from Carbis Bay, providing outdoors and watersports plans with even more activities to partake in, including coasteering and birdwatching. Carbis Bay is truly a wonderful holiday location for those wanting to experience Cornwall's breathtaking coastline.
