The property

This contemporary home, The Sandbox, is located on Hayle Towans, boasting a three-mile stretch of golden sands which your new abode is just seconds away from!

This warm refuge, located on the first floor within a detached property, with off-road parking below, welcomes couples looking for a beach base in West Cornwall.

After a day at the beach, rinse off in the shower before relaxing in the open-concept living area, which features a plush corner sofa and a TV directly across from it for watching your favourite shows.

Move to the well-stocked kitchen as your appetite grows and crank on the electric oven and induction stove; the room is completed by a fridge, counter top freezer and washing machine.

Sit down at the breakfast bar and raise a glass to a much-needed break with your better half.

Open the patio doors to access the Juliet balcony for a view of St. Ives and the mouth of the estuary when the weather is pleasant.

There is a double bed and a TV in the bedroom, so you may watch your favourite show before sloping off to sleep.

The golden sands of Hayle beach are ideal for an afternoon of sunbathing or a plunge in the sea, so pack your bucket and spade and head there.

Learn more about your surroundings by taking the short walk into Hayle's centre.

There, you'll find a variety of shops where you can pick up a souvenir to remember your wonderful staycation, as well as a delicious selection of restaurants, including the popular Bluff Inn, and no trip to the coast is complete without a takeout order of fish and chips and a leisurely stroll along the beachfront.

Driving the coast route from St Ives to Lands End will allow you to spend time seeing West Cornwall and learning about the windswept lands, historic towns, and craggy coves surrounding the Penwith Peninsula.

Penzance is a bustling town in Cornwall with a lot to see and do; the Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, with their exquisite displays and breathtaking views, are a must-see, and the National Trust's Trengwainton Garden, with its gorgeous setting and profusion of plants, is also highly recommended.

Enjoy a coastal retreat with your partner at The Sandbox.

About the location

HAYLE

St Ives 6.3 miles; Penzance 7.4 miles.

Hayle is in the far-flung south western corner of Cornwall and sits on an important RSPB wildlife estuary flowing out to the beautiful St Ives Bay, where visitors can enjoy three miles of golden sandy beaches, walks, history and wildlife. Hayle has plenty of activities out of the water too; Paradise Park is a wildlife park, home to some spectacular parrots, otters and red pandas. Hayle has a range of shops, restaurants and bars scattered around the estuary and harbour area. There are skittles and karting for the family, and for golfers, one of the best links golf courses in Cornwall is at Lelant, a mile out of Hayle. But the jewel of Hayle is the three miles of golden sandy beach, with fantastic surfing at Gwithian where there is a surf shop, lessons and hire of equipment. For the less energetic there are beach cafes where you can take in the views and watch the children play. As Hayle is centrally located you can easily access many other places by either public transport (there is a train station at Hayle) or driving. St. Ives is a short drive away where you can wander through the narrow streets, visit the art galleries or admire the colourful sub tropical gardens. St Ives harbour has its own small fishing fleet and there are plentiful boat trips skippered by locals keen to showcase the best that Cornwall has to offer, whether it be seal watching at Seal Island, a couple of hours' mackerel fishing or a relaxing trip to Godrevy Lighthouse. Within easy reach of Hayle is the Minack Theatre (35 mins), Falmouth Maritime Museum (40 mins), Eden Project (40 mins), St. Michael’s Mount (15 mins) and many other fantastic tourist attractions for dry or wet days.

The Good Housekeeping Bond for this property is £100
