One toilet roll holder needs addressing in main bathroom,the rubbish collection needs looking at put bin out as requested but not emptied,would have liked complimentary scones &cream; on arrival,as do other properties we’ve stayed in,but overall had a good stay

“Stayed before.”

Property and facilities are first rate, unfortunately the beds were too small and firm for our liking, which impacted on our break. The boiler in the second bedroom is also quite noisy and takes some getting used to.

“Had an excellent at Gennaker, the property was clean, light and had a high standard of appliances and furniture.”

The location was convenient for touring the South West, we normally stay in St. Ives and was nice to not be in the constant traffic jam trying to get into St.Ives. It was convenient to the south west coastal path to walk into St. Ives (especially as it meant we passed the awesome Porthminster beach and cafe on the walk). It was a short walk to Carbis Beach which is safe, quite and very very clean (only thing to be aware of, its a VERY steep walk so is hard work on the walk back). As in other reviews the walls are pretty thin so you can hear the neighbors, tbh this was not a big deal for us as we spent most of our time outside of the apartment. One important piece of feedback for the owner (which I believe has been repeated in other reviews), the instructions for the heating make no sense. They talk of turning a dial to 1, there are no dials on the heating controls only buttons. Luckily I have seen this type of heating control before so could work out how to turn the under floor heating on. However, if you have not seen this type of unit before it is VERY confusing, there are buttons on the control unit, buttons on the boiler and then dials on the thermostat in each room. I REALLY think you need to look at these instructions as the 'stress' of trying to work out the heating unit is a bad start to any holiday. Anyhoo, we had a fab stay and apart from the heating instructions which is a minor minor point, this is a very good property which is good value for money. Thanks so much

“What a fabulous apartment.”

It’s location was ideal, providing the opportunity to walk down to Carbis Bay beach, Carbis Bay Hotel and local restaurants. We also walked into St. Ives in less than 30 minutes along the beautiful coastal path. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, modern and excellently equipped with everything you could possibly need for any length of stay. My recent visit was for a weekend away with girlfriends, however I will be returning at the first opportunity with my family as children would love it too. I would absolutely recommend.

Perfect for walking into St Ives or using the train. We expect to climb hills in this area as we come down every year at least once and tend to use you as so reliable, clean and perfect accommodation. One advisory please check light bulbs as only one working out of 4 in main bedroom ceiling lights

“"House is very roomy and comfortable and only a 20 min walk to St Ives.”

It is situated on quite a steep hill so not for the feint hearted. You can get the train or bus into many surrounding areas. The house is a great idea if you go out for the day then just wish to chill together on an evening"

It has a superb white suite consisting of a bath with shower overhead and screen, washbasin, WC and a chrome heated towel rail.

Whether it's first thing in the morning or after a long day exploring West Cornwall, these superb bathrooms will definitely make you feel refreshed and relaxed. Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country; St Ives additionally makes for a great day out, with plenty of galleries to explore. The quayside town of Hayle also isn't far and is home to activities for the all the family, including a golf and a wildlife sanctuary.
