    “Very disappointed with responses from Sykes following 2 separate calls.”

    All week we were plagued by an intermittent beeping from a neighbouring apartment. Although I appreciate the resolution may have been out of your control neither time did anyone call back to report what the management company were doing. And we had no courtesy calls. This noise was disrupting, especially at night when no other sounds blocked it out. In fact it would appear the MC did nothing. A guy testing the fire alarm on Friday ended up calling Carbis Bay Holidays who manage the property ...

This noise was disrupting, especially at night when no other sounds blocked it out. In fact it would appear the MC did nothing. A guy testing the fire alarm on Friday ended up calling Carbis Bay Holidays who manage the property. They came out Friday lunchtime but only closed the kitchen window that had been open wide since we’d arrived. The beeping continued and was still going when we left Saturday morning. The drains need a clean as are most unpleasant when the washing machine is on. Otherwise apartment was very clean, comfy and welcoming. Everything

I can see you got in touch with us at Carbis Bay Holidays shortly after checking in, unfortunately the noise you had reported came from a property unmanaged by ourselves, we did however contact the building management company who assured us they would do their best to get hold of the owners. As you have mentioned, sadly this issue was out of our control. We will however take note of the issue with you drains you have mentioned. Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country; St Ives additionally makes for a great day out, with plenty of galleries to explore. The quayside town of Hayle also isn't far and is home to activities for the all the family, including a golf and a wildlife sanctuary. The Godrevy Nature Reserve and Penwith Heritage Coast are also within easy reach from Carbis Bay, providing outdoors and watersports plans with even more activities to partake in, including coasteering and birdwatching.
