Settled in the popular village of Carbis Bay, Oystercatcher House makes a fabulous choice for a break to Carbis Bay in Cornwall.

Near the beach and a train station, this home is perfect for friends or couples looking for a seaside getaway.

This home’s coastal location has influenced the décor, enjoying a bright and airy feel throughout with lovely tones and artwork complementing the spaces.

Inside, a living/dining room with seating for six and a gas fire offers a space to unwind after exploring the area, while the snug provides a quaint space to relax alone when needed.

From here, the kitchen offers everything you could need to whip up delicious meals for your whole group, finished off with a handy utility for your laundry after a day at the beach.

When it’s time to sleep, three bedrooms each with their own en-suite shower rooms, and the master with two armchairs and a coffee table where you can soak up the panoramic sea views out towards Godrevy and the island in St Ives, make the ideal place to catch your rest and freshen up before another adventurous day.

Outside, two gardens are available for you to make the most of any sunny weather, with furniture so you can dine al fresco!

If you fancy a break from cooking, a wealth of restaurants are available to choose from, such as La Casita, for delicious Spanish cuisine, before finishing the evening with a stroll along Carbis Bay beach.

Away from the village, you can make your way to St Ives for a spot of culture and a visit to the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden and Tate St Ives.

The area is also home to the National Trust’s Trengwainton Garden and Cudden Point for a lovely afternoon out.

Further afield, head to Fisherman's Wharf, before following the coastline up to Gillick Rock and finishing up at Godrevy Lighthouse.

You will not be left short for activities in the area with cycling, watersports, surfing and fishing opportunities available from the doorstop, as well as fishing, golf and pony trekking/horse riding all within easy reach.

St Ives 2 miles ; Hayle 3.5 miles ; Penzance 8.5 miles

Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country; St Ives additionally makes for a great day out, with plenty of galleries to explore. The quayside town of Hayle also isn't far and is home to activities for the all the family, including a golf and a wildlife sanctuary. The Godrevy Nature Reserve and Penwith Heritage Coast are also within easy reach from Carbis Bay, providing outdoors and watersports plans with even more activities to partake in, including coasteering and birdwatching.
