“Property is beautiful decorated and in the great location.”

Definitely the view is very nice and balcony is a great bonus to enjoy this during the good weather. I liked a secured parking with designated space. However, on our arrival we had issue with opening the gate. When I called agency the person on the phone was lovely, and promised that someone from the maintenance team would call. Unfortunately no-one called at all. For a long time we were keep trying to open the gate and other residents were unhappy with it as it was unsuccessful. We tried to ...

Definitely the view is very nice and balcony is a great bonus to enjoy this during the good weather. I liked a secured parking with designated space. However, on our arrival we had issue with opening the gate. When I called agency the person on the phone was lovely, and promised that someone from the maintenance team would call. Unfortunately no-one called at all. For a long time we were keep trying to open the gate and other residents were unhappy with it as it was unsuccessful. We tried to input code provided in email. It's turned up that code provided in email was wrong (missing #at the end). After a long time finally asking a neighbour, we managed to open the gate and get in. Overall cleanliness of the property was OK. Unfortunately, most of the cutlery, plates and cups were dirty (some spoons and forks had a food pieces on it). That was not nice at all after you have a long journey and you would like to straight away eat. Dirty cutlery and plates made me more upset when we discovered that there is no washing up liquid (bottle was empty with literally water down one spoon of iquid). Also, there was no soap to wash hands with. So just a few minutes after we got to the flat, we were forced out to get basic shopping. Apart from this we got 2 dishwasher tablets and 2 laundry capsules. We travel often, also not first time we were renting from Carbis Bay, but that was first time that so many things were unclean and supplies were very little. We appreciated a little welcome chocolate, coffee, tea, and milk - thank you for those. Perhaps, if those little things would be right from beginning, I would happily rent this property again, but maintenance and cleanliness are the last thing you should worry about on your arrival.

“Fantastic apartment in an excellent location.”

Regular visitors to Carbis Bay and Silver Sands. Unable to give 5 stars on this occasion as unfortunately we noted that the property was not in its best condition & had deteriorated since our last stay in February 2023. The main issue was the condition of the washing machine- the rubber seal was mouldy & was full of slimy residue .We attempted to clean it but it still needs attention so as not to disappoint other guests.

“Silver Sands is one of the best properties that we have stayed in at Carbis Bay.”

Over the last ten years we have stayed in numerous Sykes and Carbis Bay holiday destinations. The standard of cleanliness, modern furniture and facilities are all first class and the view from the balcony is very pleasing. The kitchen layout and equipment enables you easily prepare food. I am a blue badge disabled person so it was great to be able to use the level entrance into the building. The only downside was that the Sky Q Box was not functioning properly, but Luke from Property Management greatly helped to try and solve this problem. Overall, we would certainly recommend the apartment to others and we will be booking to visit again, later in this year.

“Lovely apartment, very comfortable, clean and well equipped.”

Felt very safe with the gated entrance. It was well situated, a short walk to the station. Quite a steep walk to the beach so be mindful if you think that it may be a struggle. We visited many nice places, St Michael’s Mount, Healeys cider farm, Eden project and St Ives. Would highly recommend

“This apartment is absolutely stunning, it has beautiful views from the balcony over Carbis Bay and is extremely well equipped.”

It is spacious, spotlessly clean, decorated and furnished like a show home and has everything you could wish for in terms of comfort and practical living. It is only a short walk from the breathing beach of Carbis Bay and the coastal walk to St Ives is delightful plus a little train runs along next to it and is very reasonably priced. We had such a lovely holiday here, we didn't want to go home! Ten out of ten, we will be back!

“This was a lovely apartment, we have stayed at The sands before, but in a different apartment, so had a little bit of a heads up with directions and keys etc….”

.fantastic views, perfect kitchen and bathrooms and everything was beautifully clean . Two little things we couldn’t get the patio door to unlock in the bedroom however much we tried , so had a few very warm nights and also the car park lights are so bright , so being on the middle floor , even with blackout curtains the light shone through a bit too much . ( we had penthouse last year , top floor ) But it would not put us off from staying again , in fact we are already trying to see if we can get a crafty week away in September. Thankyou and hope to visit again , and sgain

The apartment was beautifully clean and we really appreciated all the little welcoming touches left by Julie, the housekeeper - especially the Easter egg, scones and clotted cream! The apartment had everything we needed to make our stay relaxing and comfortable. Our two-year old daughter slept brilliantly well in the travel cot in the second bedroom and loved eating in the high chair provided. The fact that the apartment was on the same level as the carpark made access to and from the apartment really easy, even with a pushchair. We really enjoyed day-trips to the Eden Project, St Michael's Mount & Kynance Cove. In terms of toddler-friendly activities, we had a great time at Paradise Park in Hayle, meeting penguins close-up and feeding the goats and sheep. We also had a great day out in Falmouth, which exceeded our expectations, plus Godrevy Point - there were around 100 seals on the beach around from the lighthouse - absolutely awesome. The walks we really enjoyed were to Zennor Head, Gurnards Head, Godrevy Point, Hells Mouth, Kynance Cove to Lizard. Pendennis castle at Falmouth is worth visiting as it offers fantastic views. The same goes for St. Michael´s Mount. We also enjoyed Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan very much. Our recommendations for restaurants would be La Casita at Carbis Bay and The Badger Inn. The apartment was lovely, very clean and well equipped. We loved the walk from Carbis Bay to St Ives and found the train was very useful too to save taking the car to St Ives. It was quite a bargain for the 4 of us travelling together as we could use the Groupsave fare of £4 for the 4 of us for a return journey. It was fun to be in St Ives for November 5th, and to watch the fireworks on Porthminster Beach. We also enjoyed trips out to Lands End, the Minack theatre and the Lizard peninsula. One of the outstanding features of Silver Sands is the wide patio balcony that opens from the lounge, beautifully lit at night time, this can be used for al fresco dining or just relaxing and enjoying the stunning views across St Ives Bay at any time of the day.

The lounge also has a superb lighting system where the lights can be dimmed and adjusted to reflect your mood. Dining Area The dining area of Silver Sands is part of the open plan living accommodation and enjoys the stunning views across St Ives Bay, so although you will be tempted by the superb choice of restaurants in the area, dining-in will be a pleasure.

The dining furniture is a modern table with four chairs. A Welcome Guide provides a wealth of information about the area and the restaurant reviews in our Visitor Book will also help you decide where to dine out.

A number of takeaway restaurants offer services allowing you to dine at one of the best tables in Carbis Bay - Silver Sands dining room. Kitchen Silver Sands has a fully fitted luxury kitchen with all the latest integral appliances including a Neff cooker and hob, microwave, washer-dryer and dishwasher.

You will find all the kitchen gadgets that a gourmet chef would be pleased with, including a Nespresso coffee machine with a starter supply of complimentary pods, toaster and kettle.

There may not be any arguments as to who does the cooking or washing up, the kitchen of Silver Sands is part of the open living area and so enjoys the stunning views across St Ives Bay.

In addition, there is a breakfast bar provided for anyone who would prefer to keep the chef company. Sleeping Bedroom One with En-Suite The Master Bedroom of Silver Sands is a sunny room at the rear of the apartment.

With a king size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets with reading lights, this relaxing room will provide a comfortable night's rest leaving you fresh for a busy day on the beach, walking the coastal paths or discovering the delights of Cornwall.

For your entertainment, there is an LCD Freeview TV and a hairdryer and straighteners are provided. There is a superbly fitted en-suite with contemporary white Italian designer basin and sanitary ware. Bedroom Two Silver Sands has a sunny rear aspect second bedroom, furnished with twin beds, there is plenty of storage provided with wardrobe, drawers and bedside cabinets with reading lights.

A Samsung Smart TV is provided, along with a hairdryer. Crisp white bed linen is provided on all beds, along with a selection of luxury towels. Bathrooms Bathroom One The fabulous, spacious family bathroom has been beautifully tiled with sandstone ceramics, the fittings are sleek chrome, the sanitary ware is white Italian design.

A WC, washbasin and a bath with a shower over bath can be found, along with a mirrored cabinet. Bathroom Two The en-suite to the master bedroom is also furnished in the same superb contemporary style with a feature wall of textural sandstone tiles.

A washbasin, WC, shower enclosure with overhead shower and a shaver point is provided. A bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel is provided for each guest.

Outside Balcony One of the great features of Silver Sands is the balcony with stunning views across St Ives Bay.

You can get up early to enjoy the sunrise over Hayle and Godrevy and then relax in the evening and watch the sunset over St Ives.

Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country; St Ives additionally makes for a great day out, with plenty of galleries to explore. The quayside town of Hayle also isn't far and is home to activities for the all the family, including a golf and a wildlife sanctuary. The Godrevy Nature Reserve and Penwith Heritage Coast are also within easy reach from Carbis Bay, providing outdoors and watersports plans with even more activities to partake in, including coasteering and birdwatching. Carbis Bay is truly a wonderful holiday location for those wanting to experience Cornwall's breathtaking coastline.
