They views were gorgeous and we had a very comfortable stay. This is a great base to take in many of the local coastal walks, or if you fancy relaxing, just take in the superb views with a cream tea!

“Beautiful comfortable spacious very clean apartment with amazing views of the nearby beach.”

We would definitely recommend for a couple or even a small family as the front room had sofa beds. Not sure is it was something we were doing but could only have one shower as the hot water ran out so the other person had to wait a while until the water warmed up again. I feel the outside back patio would benefit from sunbeds rather than table & chairs. ( we ate outside on the front patio area and would’ve preferred to sunbathe on the private area at the back that had sunshine most of the day ) All in all a very beautiful apartment thank you ☺️

“Property listed as penthouse, which would suggest top notch facilities.”

I have stayed in penthouse flats for the same price and the quality of the décor and furnishings were 5star. The view is the only thing that elevates this property. No mention that the shower can only be accessed comfortably if you are of average build and the water does not drain away as it should. The shower cubicle also was cracked. Moss continually fell on top of us when out on the balcony. When we arrived we had to hover the dust in the corners of the living room. The kettle, toaster and bread tin need to be replaced asap. Definitely not penthouse standards.

“The ice section of the fridge had not been defrosted therefore we needed to do this as we wanted ice.”

Not enough little items like foil cling film plastic containers for sandwiches. Shower facia nearest the floor needs sorting. Patio wasn’t cleaned, lots of moss.

“Lovely property magnificent view very clean 10 out of 10 to the cleaners (we stayed for 2 weeks cleaners inquired if we need clean linen for second week) .”

Only complaint 3rd stay at this property twice now we have had to tye the shower head up as slips down as you shower. Bar for that great would recommend to anybody. So good we are back in October

“Generally the apartment was ok - I felt that it needed updating and the outside balcony needed a lot of attention with a karcher and painting.”

The whole apartment needs some TLC its looking old and run down - the pillows need replacing and the bed itself - well a new mattress would be my suggestion as I am not sure how long this has been in use but my back suffered from poor support.

“What an amazing apartment and location - beautifully equipped and furnished!”

It was lovely to be able to not use the car and walk to the beach as well as the station to get the train to St Ives (£1 each way would you believe?) We had the most memorable and delicious meal at The Ugly Butterfly on the beach front and given a 1.5 hour display by a seal in the breakers in front of us. A beautiful destination and apartment - we would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Great apartment in the best location in Carbis Bay - an unbeatable sea view - we’ve stayed in Carbis Bay before and Headland Road is perfect You can walk to St Ives in 40 mins - some parts are a bit steep if you’re knees aren’t great - or you can hop on the train and be there in 5 mins Given top marks for everything except for facilities as the shower needs replacing as do the pillows - but these are minor issues that are just meant as helpful feedback to ensure top marks for everything - we would 100% stay in this apartment again

“Great apartment, comfy cosy and spacious!”

View over car is bay is stunning! Shame about the state of the balcony, especially since it’s the lead view online! There’s green algae growing on walls, moss growing over the paving. Needs a good jet wash and a lick of paint! Other than this it is a beautiful apartment and I would reccommend and also stay again (provided balcony is sorted out!) thank you!

“We had a lovely time, the weather was brilliant and the area is superb.”

The apartment was beautiful, but, as with previous feedbacks, the balcony let it down. Such a stunning view but the cleanliness and upkeep of the balcony detracted from the rest of the property. Needs a coat of paint or at least wash all the green and grime off the walls and floor. Fag butts not swept up either. FYI The double socket to the left of the sink doesn't work. All the others were fine. Could do with a small sieve or colander. The freezer door, as reported a few times before, is broken and awkward to use. Also perhaps state the parking height restriction on the main advert rather than advise two days before arrival. Luckily we could lower our suspension but if we had brought our other vehicle we would have been in trouble. We had an issue with the washing machine, couldn't find the main manual for it. It was blocked with a key and coin which had been there quite a while but luckily we managed to clear it and left a note for the cleaners that the wet towels were in the bath from mopping up the near flood. Having said all this, we had a fabulous time and would definitely stay there again and recommend to others. Thank you.

“Lovely apartment with great views.”

Was however disappointed with the balcony area, it could do with a deep clean to get rid of the moss etc. The shower was a bit faulty (switch to turn on water flow worked when it wanted to !). Freezer compartment door kept falling off and no batteries in remote for bedroom tv (had to buy some ourselves). Overall a lovely place.

“Very rude cleaners when we arrived , they had been in there ages chatting , not actually sure what they was doing but the attitude towards us was awful .”

We asked if we could go in early after speaking to the owner as it was our honeymoon, I also asked for something nice to greet us as newly weds .. nothing greeted us . The apartment was lovely , skirting boards and mirrors were dirty and the balcony had not been cleaned , we did it ourselves, . The welcome pack was nice and the views are absolutely amazing , apartment was massive and comfortable

“With its stunning view of the bay from the balcony, this tastefully furnished and well equipped apartment is delightful.”

The additional features of the washer/dryer, dishwasher and coffee machine bestow a touch of luxury accommodation. Undercover allocated and safe parking takes away the stress of using on street parking. Check in is quick and efficient with the lock box system and the welcome basket awaiting you on arrival is a lovely touch. The golden sands are only 10 minutes away although it is quite a steep hill and would be hard for the less mobile. To avoid the inevitable difficulties of parking and traffic queues in the area, the nearby train station is a huge bonus enabling easy access to St Ives and indeed most of Cornwall using the train network. There are a few small niggles, the balcony lets the apartment down with its grimy appearance, such a shame, the freezer compartment door in the fridge falls off as the hinges are broken and the shower is more a trickle than a flow. However, all aside, I would still return without hesitation.

“Ocean View was all we expected and more, would stay there again if we visit Carbis Bay.”

Lovely furnished and decorated and exceptionally large for a one bed. Views were out of this world, could sit there all day watching the world go by! Car parking great and train to St Ives was excellent, as we had family staying there. Nice to see St Ives, but nice to get back to Carbis Bay. Easy access to beach, steep climb back, but worth it. Just a few minor things - need new toilet holder in bathroom, patio at front could do with a bit of tlc and rug in lounge could do with a clean. Incidental items but worth a mention. Apartment stocked with essentials to start your holiday - we took a top up with us - some of which was needed, but some not. Hope to come back.

“Good apartment, nice view.”

Heating not working on arrival, had to call someone out and even they could not make it work properly they provided extra portable heaters. The TV only worked sometimes there is obviously an aerial connection problem. DVD player is never going to work as there are no input and output leads. The balcony was filthy a complete eyesore. The rear sun patio could not be used as the floor had been covered with artificial grass and was permanently wet. The kitchen lacked a few basic implements such as a draining board rack, kitchen tongs, collinder, lid for the casserole dish. None of the windows opened to vent so no ventilation while sleeping. No smoke alarm or fire extinguisher. We have stayed in several holiday lets with sykes and they have all been good except this one. Not value for money.

“Lovely apartment with great views.”

We had everything we needed for a great stay. The only problem we had was getting the apartment warm. Although the radiators were piping hot the temperature only reached 16.5 degrees for the first few days. This was probably partially due to adjacent flats being empty, but we felt the panel radiators were inadequate for the size of the room. Despite this we had a lovely stay and would love to return.

“Lovely apartment BUT there really should be a change of bedding available.”

PLUS towels. The balcony let's the apartment down big time. It would be lovely to be able to sit out in a sheltered area even when the rain is coming down with the wonderful view. A slim shoe box as you step in would be handy. Nice stay. But not exceptional and we stay in Carbis Bay every year.

Let down by the condition of both balconies, outdoor furniture could be updated. Lovely layout inside and contemporary look. The view is outstanding. The apartment is more spacious than it appears in the listing photos and is well furnished. We were so lucky with the weather with glorious sunshine throughout the week. The view from the balcony is truly stunning, sunrise over the lighthouse and sunsets over St Ives Bay. The only improvements we would suggest would be better quality balcony chairs and sliding doors to the balcony.

We absolutely loved the location. Shame about the Faux grass on the sun terrace being waterlogged. The ice box in the fridge was iced up, but nothing to worry us when we were there. “Where do I start, on arrival dirty microwave, cob webs hanging in the bathroom, rubbish in bathroom cabinet, oven dirty, food debris in kitchen cupboard, windows that you cannot see out of, and balcony not welcoming , just not clean.”

The fridge door doesn't close properly, the grids on the extraction hood are missing, it is also coming away from the wall. There was no hot water, constantly having to use boost button. The laminate flooring moves, gaps in it everywhere. Dust in bedroom on the mirror and glass tops. On a plus could be a beautiful apartment, good position, comfortable bed, sofas comfy. We did contact carbis holidays about microwave and cob webs with photos, also spoke to skyes about the hot water, all the other issues should be picked up on inspection, I'm on holiday at the end of the day.

The hot water is on a timer between certain times and the boost button is then used for between these hours if you need a shower, we are sorry if this caused you any inconvenience. “Where to start.”

The Apartment was spotless when we arrived and the welcome package much appreciated as we arrived late in the evening. The views of Carbis Bay and St. Ive’s were truly stunning and we felt comfortable and secure throughout the stay. We were there for our Honeymoon and it felt like we were in a different country. The only negative was the Hot Water and we couldn’t quite work out how to make it hotter. Something I’m sure was in with the instructions but we lived with it anyway. We will definitely book this property again and recommend anyone looking for a romantic, peaceful break do the same.

The View from the balcony was stunning, and my husband loved the telescope for watching wildlife in the bay. The apartment was a 2 minute walk from Carbis bay train Station, which meant getting to and from St Ives was so easy and no need to use the car.

Clean and spacious. The balcony area could do with freshening and cleaning, as it was slippery. The view is amazing, it is just the balcony looks tired and does not match the rest of the interior. The fridge is a little on the small size too.

“A beautiful apartment with everything that you need.”

And wow - that view was wonderful to wake up to every morning. A couple of little tweaks are that it is probably time for a new mattress and the laminate flooring isn't very well laid down as it moves slightly. Oh and could we have an elevator up from the beach as the walk is so steep, lol!!

The apartment is spacious with an excellent modern decor. It was immaculately presented for our arrival and everything functioned really well throughout our stay. The location worked perfectly for us - we could walk down to the beach in just a few minutes and access to the coast path in both directions was also easy and quick. And the view is to die for. The beach immediately below you and a perfect outlook right over and into St Ives harbour. We never tired of it. Covered parking was good too - no seagull poo to clean off the car! We loved this apartment and would readily return to it."

Harbour View is dominated by fantastic sea views encompassing Carbis Bay beach, St Ives and Godrevy Lighthouse.

Just sink into either of the large sofas and be mesmerised by the ever changing colours of the seascape.

Cream and blue striped curtains frame the windows should the views prove to be too much of a distraction! An informative welcome manual will give you all the information you need about the apartment and a good selection of books, maps and pamphlets will give you all the information you need about the locality including art galleries, gardens and walks. Dining Area The dining area is perfectly positioned alongside the kitchen, guests can keep the chef happy whilst taking in the stunning views through the window and doors, there is an oak table with four matching oak dining chairs.

Should you decide to venture out for dinner Carbis Bay, St Ives and the surrounding area has a wide choice of quality restaurants, modern and traditional pubs as well as a number of places to obtain take-away food. Entrance Hallway The bright and spacious hallway welcomes you into the apartment and has a handy utility cupboard which houses the iron, ironing board, airer and hoover and a perfect place for hanging your coat. Kitchen Kitchen Sociable and open plan to the living area, it is a pleasure to cook here, whilst watching the martime scenes pass by.

This beautiful modern kitchen has a range of cream high gloss cupboards with Corian worksurfaces and intregrated appliances, there is a large fridge with icebox, a microwave, a four ring ceramic halogen hob with extractor above, an oven with grill, a dishwasher and washer/dryer.

In addition guests will find Delonghi toaster, kettle and filter coffee machine and all the utensils, pots and pans they could possibly need to prepare a meal in this home from home. Sleeping Master Bedroom The spacious master bedroom is decorated with calming neutral tones and has a king size bed with 1000 pocket sprung sleepmaster mattress to gently ease you into a peaceful slumber. Oak furniture with matching bedside tables with reading lamps, a chest of drawers, double wardrobe and long mirror provides both hanging and shelf storage.

Outside Seaward Facing Balcony The spacious living area and kitchen is fronted by a balcony with one of the best views of Carbis Bay beach and St Ives Bay.

Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line.
