“The apartment was beautiful, clean, spacious and such a great location and amazing views.”

The main bedroom with en-suite is just gorgeous - huge with a fantastic double aspect view and massive comfy bed (albeit softer than we are used to). It was so lovely to stay in a place that is even better than advertised and on photos and we had an amazing week. You are so close to the beach and the town it was just perfect and we would definitely stay again and already passed on details to a few friends. Spa tag was missing from the key fob but no worries they accepted us from our e mail ...

“We had a fabulous stay at Crystal Bay.”

As soon as we walked into the apartment after our long drive, it felt like home! The views across Porthminster Beach are incredible. The apartment is about a 3 minute walk from the beach which is perfect and it’s also ideally located to explore St Ives and close to the train station if you want to go further. We loved this apartment, it’s got all the facilities you could want, it was clean and well maintained. We have already booked to stay here again next year and we cannot wait.

“A-m-a-z-i-n-g!”

! We left the apartment yesterday after a stay of one week and we miss it so much. Drifting off to sleep at night lulled by the sound of the sea just perfect. The views are beautiful. As others have said the apartment is ideally situated for walking into St Ives. Close by secure parking. The apartment contains everything you want for a relaxing self catering holiday and more. We have already booked to return next year

“This stunning apartment overlooking the sea was exactly what I needed for some R&R in a beautiful location.”

“Beautiful apartment with wonderful balcony overlooking the beach.”

Good secure parking and ideal location for walking into St Ives. It was a bonus to find we could use the spa facilities in the hotel next door. The only most minor fault was the shower runner in the en-suite bathroom was mouldy/ dirty and needs replacing which was out of keeping with the rest of the property’s extremely good standard. We would certainly stay again.

“This is a lovely property and would highly recommend to anyone wishing to stay in St Ives.”

Description is exactly as advertised, plenty of space, comfortable, clean with outstanding views. Parking is easy, and property based just a short walk from the harbor side. One very small negative would be the noise from traffic, this can be heard from the balcony, however the views override any discomfort. Thank you to Carbis Bay Holidays for the welcome pack and sorting a minor issue very quickly, it was very much appreciated.

“We have stayed at many different apartments in St Ives.”

This was the most spacious of them all with the best view, in a great location. There is easy access to the town and station. It is next door to the hotel for bar, spa and restaurant. The apartment is well equipped and great place to watch the sunrise/sunset. The balcony over looks Porthminster Beach with a view of the harbour. We could have done with another week and would happily stay there again.

“We were really pleased with the property.”

It had a beautiful view across St. Ives Bay and sitting on the balcony in the mornings and evenings was a real treat. The beds were comfortable and everything was finished to a high standard. The only issue for us was the seating in the lounge which was low and not particularly comfortable (although that might be down to our age!)

....fabulous apartment with great views, in a great location and very peaceful. This is our 3rd visit to St Ives and we will definitely return to this apartment again. Minor issue with parking space upright post - perhaps needs upgrading as a bit temperamental. However Carbis Bay Holiday engineers were brilliant - arrived in 10 minutes. Cleanliness of the floors could have been better in the apartment.

“As we have stayed in peninsular apartments many times we we’re disappointed not to find a bottle of cava in the fridge especially with holiday Property’s in cornwall having 2 great years.”

We would have also liked some dessert forks as the others were a bit big for somethings.

“My husband was taken ill, we believed he might be having a heart attack,we called for an ambulance and they said used a defibrillator now!”

We called the contact number for the flat, and were given another number to call, we called that number, no one answered and the message we received was that the mailbox was full and messages could not be left. This was a major issue at the time. There should be a defibrillator in the main foyer. The other issue was that the bridge walkway, and the main foyer were not kept clean (just swept would have solved it) - they were full of leaves and miscellaneous items, like paper bags, straws, masks, etc. It was only on Thursday morning that a team of cleaners arrived. Otherwise, the flat was great and met our expectations, except that some of the plates were in short supply which meant I had to keep washing up certain items. The beds were very comfortable. The TV's were too small for the size of the rooms. Even with my complaints we would like to return to the development, to flat 14, the flat above 12 where we stayed, as we believe we might see the sun for a bit longer.

As discussed if the emergency services state that your husband needs a defibrillator, the emergency services can tell you the nearest location of the defibrillator once they know your location and also they will give you the key code to unlock the case. Unfortunately, this is not a situation a member of staff would be able to assist you with as it is part of “999” emergency services. We will put forward your request for a defibrillator to be put in the development as a whole to the block management company who manage the development and also the cleaning of the communal areas. We will also ask the housekeepers to count the plate in the property to ensure there is sufficient for each guest’s stay. We are also investigating the number you called for the emergency out of hours to ensure that all guests can get through to a member of staff if there is a genuine emergency with the property.
