"Aquamarine was a lovely apartment, very well equipped with everything we needed. Beautiful bathrooms and a real touch of luxury. For me, the best thing about Carbis Beach Aparments is the amazing views of the Bay, best view in the world."
"Lovely light property, with everything thought of. Beautiful views, would recommend."
"Perfect in every way"
Had a lovely time, lovely view and great food out and about.
A perfect place for our little girl on her very first holiday. She learned to sit up in this very apartment, it has been beautiful. Thank you
Another lovely week staying in Aquamarine, but this time at Easter rather than summer holidays. We have had some sunny days down on the beach and the rest dry and cloudy. We visited Porthleven for the first time, that was a lovely day out. Had a lovely evening meal at Birdies Bistro in Lelant. Hope to be back very soon.
Just returned from a glorious week in Aquamarine, Carbis Bay. The apartment was first class. Hope to return soon.
"We had a wonderful holiday in Carbis Bay, our second time at Aquamarine. The apartment was perfect- clean and welcoming and it had everything that we needed - we were very grateful for the scones and wine on arrival! Our two young children loved it, especially the DVDs and play station!
We all had a wonderful holiday and can't recommend aquamarine enough. We will definitely come back!"
“A note to say the apartment was just perfect, light, bright decor and fab bathrooms and kitchens with immaculate presentation. We were really sad to leave the peaceful haven with amazing views just perfect!”
"Everything was perfect. Aquamarine is beautiful. The iPad facility and Sonos music system was also a great additional luxury. With regard to the area we have a few favourites to mention that visitors shouldn't miss: Porthcurno beach and The Minnack. Breathtaking. The Telegraph Museum is also a good afternoon out. For a light lunch -the hut near the beach at Perranuthno has good food and the people are so welcoming. A trip around the coast at St Agnes, Kynance Cove. Flambards exhibitions, the walk from Carbis bay into St Ives. The National Maritime Museum at Falmouth. A walk around Godrevy to the seals and then lunch at Godrevy cafe."
“We first visited Aquamarine in 2006 and, apart for one year, have visited every year since sometimes twice a year as this year. As usual, booking is very easy and straight forward, the apartment cannot be faulted and the owners provide a very high standard of accommodation, thinking of all possible requirements. There cannot be any better presented apartment anywhere and the location seals the deal. “
"Aquamarine is a lovely apartment and the newly refurbished bathrooms and kitchen added to our enjoyment. Everything you could possibly want is in the apartment and makes cooking in a real pleasure as the standard of equipment, crockery and utensils are excellent. Every year there are lovely additions to the apartment. The overall experience of booking, communication etc was great- no hassles at all. The area of Carbis Bay is so lovely with many fantastic walks, restaurants and pubs. 100% enjoyment and relaxation."
“Everything was wonderful, start to finish, from the booking process, standard of accommodation, cleanliness, location of the property, everything! The property itself was stunning and the attention to detail was incredible. We didn't need for anything, the owners had literally thought of everything and what a nice touch, leaving milk and cream teas on our arrival, after such a long journey it was a real treat! We have never stayed at such a "high tech" place either with all mod cons, even an I-Pad, so that was wonderful! Everywhere was immaculate too.”
"We had a superb holiday and we were very lucky with the weather. Everything was excellent and surpassed our expectations. Your service and the booking was so smooth and the travel directons suppiled by you were very clear and wihout even having to ask for them. Kerry the housekeeper was so lovely and professional, went through everything with us. The welcome gifts were so well received, and so thoughtful to have a pint of milk left in the fridge, as I was going to bring for our "cuppa" on arrival but forgot... so you can imagine how pleased we were. Aquamarine was excellent we wanted for nothing, naturally we hit a few tourist spots, Godrevy lighthouse & St Micheals Mount. St Ives was beautiful some lovely shops and such good source of local produce, shop keepers so friendly. Catching the train was so reasonable and saved on parking fees."
“This year was our third stay with Carbis Bay holidays, each year better than the previous. It’s a pleasure to deal with such a company, no hassle whatsoever. Again we stopped at Aquamarine, it’s such a beautiful apartment, spacious, modern, and clean, everything you could want with a view that’s unforgettable. From the arrival greeted by the housekeeper to departure leaves the visitor with so many beautiful memories.”
"Our holiday (mum & myself) at Aquamarine was perfect in every aspect. We expected a quality apartment & got something that exceeded our expectations. Aquamarine is the best apartment we have ever stayed in comfortably furnished to a high standard & was perfectly clean. The location is perfect, Carbis Bay is such a beautiful area & with St Ives literally on the door step we didn’t have to use the car more than necessary. What a bargain getting a parking space right outside in a gated area which felt secure. The view from our balcony will be engraved in our minds for ever, even the bats coming out as darkness falls & giving us an aerial spectacular with their amazing flying was a joy to watch."
"Our expectations were met once again at Aquamarine. the thoughtful touches such as the welcome basket and cream tea was really nice. The apartment was clean and very well equipped. We enjoyed lovely walks from Zennor and around Prussia Cove. We ate at Blas-great burgers, St Andrew’s Bistro-nice food and very good service and also at Porthmeor Beach cafe which as previously gave great service and super food. The whole experience from booking onwards was excellent."
"Aquamarine - we were astonished at the standard of this luxury apartment, the place was spotless and extremely well equipped including the latest Hi Tech IPad which we found really useful during our stay.... Preloaded with pages of local information. Another thoughtful touch was the welcome pack waiting for us which included a beautiful cream tea, chocolates, wine and even a pint of milk. The views were stunning and good weather made breakfast on the balcony a memory we will never forget. With the railway station 20 yards from the apartment, we found ourselves using the train service on several occasions with prices quite reasonable. To be honest, whist it was our intention to 'eat out' most evenings, we enjoyed the comfort and the views of Aquamarine unbeatable so we ended up buying local produce and preparing our evening meals in the extremely well equipped kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay in that apartment and would definitely consider a revisit in the future."
"We received a lovely welcome when we arrived at Aquamarine and this year us we were unable to walk into St Ives we found the train very useful at £2 return better than car parking there and plenty of eating places .We had a lovely holiday and hope to return same time next year"
"Aquamarine was very comfortable, loved the Ipod docking stations! very clean and with everything we needed to have a very relaxing and comfortable holiday. One of the nicest walks was from Porthreath towards the National Trust owned Western Hill leading to Ralph's Cupboard (a collapsed sea cave) along to Bassset's Cove and back through Tehidy Woods. Fantastic coastline and very rugged. Another walk we enjoyed was from St Mawes out along the Percuil Creek and then inland to St Just-in-Roseland Church. Stunning views of Falmouth. In Newquay we did a circular walk from the harbour to the Huer's Hut towards Towan Head, past Fistral beach and out to Pentire Point - stunning views across the sand dunes at Crantock and the River Gannel Estuary. Another good walk is from Padstow heading towards Butter Hole Cave and Pepper Hole to reach the headland at Stepper Point. Amazing views across the Camel Estuary and Doom Bar. We did a 3 mile walk from Polperro to Talland Bay. It is quite steep in parts but again the views are stunning and Talland Bay is very pretty and has a cafe. Meals out that we enjoy include The Garrack Hotel in St Ives, Gurnards Head, The Alba in St Ives (book early to get a table in the window upstairs with terrific views over the harbour), and The Badger Inn at Lelant (always busy and we love the carvery!). We love visiting Geevor Tin Mine and this year we visited King Edwards Mine for the first time."
"We loved our stay in Aquamarine, well equipped pretty and really clean and fresh looking. The Alba in St Ives is a great place to dine"
"The apartment was beautiful with everything possible thought of. Top marks for the owners, top marks for the admin. By the way the free firework displays from the beach were rather wonderful! "
"Aquamarine was excellent and well stocked with equipment to make your holiday that bit more special . Everywhere was very clean and well kept and I could not find any fault with the property at all, we had a fantastic holiday."
"As usual (this is our fourth time to Aquamarine) the holiday was brilliant. The representative was already at the apartment to meet us. The standard of the apartment was excellent, very clean, well provisioned and equipped including some new features like the IPad. We walked into St Ives along the coast path which was invigorating. Visited Tate Britain and had afternoon tea in their tea shop. Other places we visited included Mousehole - very quaint, Kynance Cove at the Lizard and Port Issac, home of Doc Martin. Our last day was beautiful. We walked around the cliffs into the next bay because the tide was very low. We also had a barbecue on the beach in the evening."
"Carbis Bay is a beautiful destination and Aquamarine was stunning. The place was beautifully clean and very, very well equipped. the views from the living room and bedrom were stunning-a really lovely way to switch off. We enjoyed many lovely walks along the cliffs-some were quite hard going but exhilarating. Restaurants visited: Porthmeor Beach cafe-excellent breakfast and tapas and very friendly service, On-Shore- friendly service lovely seafood, Carbis Bay Hotel-stunning views, Blas Burgers-superb!, Our whole holiday experience from booking to arrival and departure was excellent - I would recommend it to anyone."
"My wife, two daughters and I had a wonderful week in Carbis Bay. I was impressed with Carbis Bay Holidays' administration, "Aquamarine" was superb, their attention to detail to cover every need for a luxury stay was noticeable. I-pads, PS2 and Xbox's for the kids and comfort and space for the adults. The view from the balcony over the bay and seeing the seals swimming was a moment to remember. The cleanliness of the apartment was excellent and the welcome basket was a classy touch. With regard to walks, the Carbis Bay to St Ives coastal path walk was wonderful, with some stop and stare moments at the landscape along the way and good exercise for walking off the lunch from the Porthminster Beach cafe lunch at St Ives for the return journey if you felt fit enough. There is lunch to be enjoyed in Mousehole just half an hour away followed by a visit to St Michaels Mount just 4 miles away or if you venture to Lands End 20 miles away, try to find Sennen Cove just a mile before, much quieter, enjoyable and just as stunning.
Restaurant wise - The Badger Inn at Lelant a mile away did a hearty Sunday Carvery, whilst the local Italian, La Casita and Becks Fish and Chips in Carbis Bay are to be thoroughly recommended. St Ives is a mile and a quarter away, 3 mins by train that runs from 2 minute walk away or a 25 minute coastal walk has a take your pick supply of restaurants for taste and variety."
"Thank you all for a lovely weeks holiday, we all had a great time, all aspects of the holiday apartment were first class, and the views from the balcony were stunning. We had a meal in the seafood cafe in St Ives that was lovely, and the coastal walk to lelant was stunning."
"Aquamarine is a delightful, property of quality– probably one of the best situated ones on the Carbis Beach area. The accommodation was excellent. The choice of entertainment within the apartment was more than we could have asked for. The Housekeeping & Cleaning service providers were very helpful."

"The administration, standard of accommodation and cleanliness of Aquamarine all met or exceeded our expectations. 10/10 ! And although obviously out of the control of yourselves, we did see up to about 5 seals in the bay at one time !"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Aquamarine Apartment which was second to none. Everything was perfect, could not have wished for better weather. The location was excellent, we made full use of the train, travelling to Penzance and several trips to St Ives where we enjoyed meals at Pedn-olva, The Beach and Hobblers Restaurants. We would certainly visit again, if only for the wonderful view."
P. & B. Morris
"Aquamarine was all that we had hoped for. It was spotless and really well equipped, the best apartment we have ever rented anywhere. The views from the lounge and the master bedroom are superb. The cliff scenery is stunning and we saw seals, gannets and fulmars and some lovely wild flowers. We leave Aquamarine and the St Ives area with some very happy memories and hope to return one day! "
"This is the second time we have stayed in Carbis Bay with yourselves, and Aquamarine did not disappoint. The apartment was spotlessly clean and is the best equipped self catering property we have ever stayed in. My wife was particularly impressed with the quantity of kitchen equipment ...Also to have all the beach equipment and towels was fantastic, again something we have never had before."
"We had a lovely holiday in Carbis Bay and did not want it to end. I would just like to say as always the administration and the standard of accommodation and cleanliness at Aquamarine was EXCELLENT."
"We had a fantastic week at Aquamarine, the accommodation was first class, location, description, directions and yourselves were excellent too, a credit to the owners."
"We absolutely loved the property and will definitely be booking to stay again. The apartment was spacious and clean, and everything was provided for. The location was superb, and the view was amazing."
