"We really enjoyed our stay at Godrevy View. It is a lovely apartment, very spacious and modern and in a great quiet position with lovely views and not too far from the station - or up the hill. Walked into St Ives and got the train back then walked both ways - came back in the dark - and it really was dark - so should have taken a torch. The train is great and only £1.00 each way - only one stop.
We visited a lot of places including Gwithian Beach, Hells Mouth, Port Isaac, St Nectans Glen, St Michaels Mount, The Lizard, Perranporth, Sennen Cover, Porthcurno, Cape Cornwall, Kynance Cove and Porthleven - all in a week! We needed to get home for a rest!
We came to Cornwall in June for our first holiday there - and loved it so much that we came to Godrevy View in September and have already booked to come back to Carbis Bay in July and September next year.
Booking with Carbis Bay Holidays was very easy - so easy in fact that one of next year's bookings are with them.
The only reason for giving the apartment four stars rather than five is that we could hear the people in the apartment walking around which made their floor creak. They were not noisy people - just up until 2am - they couldn't help the creaky floor. It wouldn't put me off booking the apartment again."

"The apartment is tucked away and quiet, removed from all noise and in a beautiful neighbourhood with lush hydrangea blooms on every corner. You can take the train from London Paddington station to St Erth station and switch to the local train that heads to St. Ives, disembarking at the Carbis Bay stop. It is only a four minute walk to the Carbis Bay train station, and a slightly more energetic 10 minute uphill walk to ‘Costcutters’ for groceries, or if you're physically fit and don't mind carrying your groceries a bit more of a distance, then the ‘Tesco’ Superstore is about a 20 minute walk. We love the exercise and did it often. If you can't manage the climb, you can take the train to St Ives and get groceries at the ‘Co-op’ store along the route into the town centre. And if you have a car, then you have no worries at all.
Possibly one of the biggest attractions of this apartment is its convenient location to the coastal path. We walked it in both directions to see Porth Kidney sands, Porthminster Beach, Carbis Bay beach and often all the way into St. Ives. The Carbis Bay beach is only a 10-minute walk down to the sands from the apartment. These walks are incredibly scenic and the sense of being so close to nature is amazing. Coming back up from the beach or at places along the path requires a certain degree of physical fitness (I am very *unfit*, and yet I managed it and loved it). However, for people with disabilities, these walks will be more difficult so I advise use of the train which gives beautiful views of the ocean and beaches.
Also, a point of great joy for us: the neighbours have a lovely, super-friendly little black cat named Sooty, who will come to you for cuddles and treats but otherwise not bother you in any way. So adorable!
And finally, the entire experience was so enjoyable. Carbis Bay Holidays made communication so easy, and they were entirely trustworthy and reliable throughout, which reduces the anxiety of booking an unfamiliar place from a foreign country. I would highly recommend this company and this apartment. We would love to return!
“What can i say about Godrevy View ? What a fabulous place to stay. We stayed there in 2011 and we so impressed with the place that we had no hesitation in booking again for this year. It has everything you need for a relaxing holiday.”
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Godrevy View and we were grateful for the opportunity to rent such a comfortable, well set up and positioned flat"
"We had a wonderful holiday at Godrevy View! All our expectations concerning the property and the service of Carbis Bay Holidays have been fulfilled. The apartment was great and had all facilities we needed. We loved the fantastic view! We enjoyed the wonderful Coast Path to Lelant, where we had a delicous meal at Scarlet Wines and we had a lovely day at Lizard Point. The beaches in Cornowall, especially Carbis Beach, were great."
"We had a fantastic time in Godrevy View apartment. It had a fantastic view and was finished to a high standard. The communication we received was very convenient and we loved all the little touches like the welcoming cream tea in the fridge or the information pack and bag to take home. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the apartment was full of everything you could need for the week and more! We walked along the coastal path in both directions ending up in St Ives and Lelant Saltings. The views were breathtaking on both and although the walks were quite tiring they were well worth doing. We visited Casa Romano twice during our week which is a beautiful Italian restaurant within walking distance of the apartment, the food was fantastic. One of our favourite attractions was the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth. It was such a good afternoon out even for someone who is not particularly interested in boats. There are so many interesting exhibits and things for you to interact with that it was well worth the £11 admission cost! Great if it is a bit wet outside too!! Thanks for such a great experience!"
"Godrevy View was a very high standard with all the facilities we required. Excellent location and décor. Parking was particularly good at this property with a large parking space. We were holidaying with our 4 month old baby and very much appreciated that a travel cot could be provided. I found the property and Carbis Bay Holidays to be very good for our small family. We enjoyed take away's from both Becks fish and chips and La Casita restaurant, both being of a good standard. We enjoyed a lovely meal at Alfresco in St Ives and also at the Seafood Cafe. Lanhydrock was an excellent day trip as was St Michael's mount. There are so many good National Trust things to do in the area it really is worth becoming a member."
"What a fabulous holiday we had at Godrevy View. The apartment was excellent, decor layout the whole package and would highly recommend to all my friends and family. The view was spectacular and of course we had absolute wonderful weather. Loved the train to St Ives and daughter and I walked back along the path. Daughter loved her room with TV, Sky in the main room and of course the wireless internet."
"We really enjoyed our holiday. The accommodation was excellent, Godrevy View lacked nothing in equipment and facilities, could not have been cleaner. The scenery is stunning and beaches were the best I have seen in Britain."
"Amazing accommodation! Godrevy View was so clean - as if it was brand new - I couldn't believe it when I read the visitor book and saw how many years back the comments went. It is great that the property accepts infants as we had a lovely first New Year's Eve with our little girl and celebrated our engagement with the complimentary drinks that were provided. We loved the bath and the decor, and everything really!!. The Playstation was good, as the weather was bad on two of our days, but one day was glorious so we took the train into St Ives - which was lovely! We went to the Cornish Arms for an early evening NYE drink, which was very friendly. It was just what I needed, a nice relaxing break before I go back to work after maternity leave!"
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Godrevy View. It was spotlessly clean and was equipped to a very high standard."
"Everything was great thanks, we enjoyed our day on the Lizard, we can recommend the cafe at the car park between Long Rock and Marazion (lovely views over St Michael's Mount) for a bacon baguette, local bacon freshly cooked, makes a great final breakfast! Also we had a great cream tea at the Smuggler's Cottage, just across the King Harry Ferry from Trelissick Gardens. As regular visitors to Cornwall there are so many places to recommend but those are two highlights of our latest trip."

"The property Godrevy View was really nice. The kitchen was large and well equipped. I used the spa bath which was really lovely. The place was really child friendly and the kids loved the playstation and the dvd player in their rooms. The pasties and cream teas at Phils Pasties in Hayle were excellent and we also did the coastal walk from Gwithian recommended in your folder which was brilliant, even though it was wet and grey, especially as we spotted the seals in the bay, what an amazing experince for us Londoners. St Ives was a beautiful little town and the fish and chips and ice creams were excellent. The best beach by far was where we were at Carbis bay, the kids were in the freezing water and building sand castles, while we relaxed. Our last day we spent in the Eden Project. We enjoyed the experience and encouraged the kids to learn and spot different plants."
"Had a fantastic time! Loved the apartment , all the amenities were fab, so handy for the beach and St. Ives for walking, not to mention round the other side of the coast and that huge beach!"
"We would like to thank you for a lovely week spent in the apartment which fulfilled all our needs. We were very lucky as it did not rain that week and as the week progressed the weather got better and we were able to go on the beach. An ideally situated apartment."
"The holiday was lovely thank-you (apart from the weather but unfortunately none of us can influence that). Accommodation, cleanliness etc was excellent as it has been with the other properties we have booked through yourselves."
"Carbis Bay, the service you provide and the excellent accommodation makes it too easy to stop us from coming back."
"Only good feedback from us :-) Accommodation was lovely, everything you needed and more. The cleanliness of the property was great, which isn't easy with all that sand! And there were PLENTY of towels to keep us going through the week."
