With stunning views overlooking this beautiful stretch of coastline, Ultramarine is in an excellent position to admire the ever-changing colours of the sea which inspired the interior colour scheme. Within walking distance of the beach, southwest coastal path and attractions of St. Ives, this beach retreat is hard to beat. Ultramarine is on the same level as the car park (second floor) and also has lift access.

Guests will enjoy improved panoramic sea views from the balcony and master bedroom from February 2019. All balconies at the development are being upgraded to frameless glass.

Apartment Ultramarine has a spacious lounge with two comfortable sofas, Sony Smart 43″ Television with Sonos Playbar and Netflix, Blu-Ray, DVD, Xbox 360 Elite. An iPad loaded with interactive travel guides (restaurants; attractions; activities; maps; timetables etc), photos, and TV iPlayer as well as facilitating internet surfing and keeping in touch with home or the office is provided for your use. Create the perfect soundtrack to you holiday using the multi-room Sonos music system with Spotify subscription enabling you to listen to virtually any music ever recorded or any radio station anywhere in the world.
The lounge opens to the infinity glass balcony with table and chairs affording uninterrupted spectacular views over the beach from Porthminster Point to Carrack Gladden (or Hawkes Point), then across the long sandy beach of Hayle and Gwithan all the way to Godrevy Lighthouse. There is a “Welcome Book” packed with information about St Ives and the varied attractions of St Ives. You will also find O.S. maps, walks, pub and restaurant guides, as well as a selection of games, books, videos, Blu-Ray discs, DVDs,Xbox 360 games.

Dining Area

Apartment Ultramarine is furnished in a contemporary style. The spacious dining room comfortably seats 4 people. With the patio doors open, listen to the surf and enjoy the dramatic views across St. Ives Bay. You are rather spoilt for choice with the number of quality restaurants nearby; some offer a takeaway service or why not prepare your meal at home and enjoy the comfort of your apartment. On warmer days you may choose to dine “al fresco”.

Apartment Ultramarine has a fully fitted modern kitchen with split level cooker, hob, microwave, built in fridge, dishwasher, washer-dryer, freezer, table, four chairs, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, and everything else you would expect from an apartment of this quality, even champagne glasses. A breakfast table and four chairs are provided to offer guests a choice of where they dine. Finally, enjoy the Sonos music system to enjoy any music of your choice whilst you prepare a meal or enjoy a family breakfast.

Bedroom One with En-suite

The master bedroom of apartment Ultramarine has a fitted wardrobe,and contemporary bedside units and a chest of drawers providing plenty of storage space. Watch the Smart TV with Freeview , CatchUp and Netflix, with a Sonos Beam Playbar from the comfortable king size bed dressed with crisp White Company Egyptian cotton bed linen. A well as providing high quality TV sound, the SONOS Beam also streams music from Spotify or your device; can be set as an alarm or snooze radio; and facilitates voice control of the various Philips Hue lights to provide the perfect bedroom ambience by varying colour or brightness. Wake up and ask Sonos’ Alexa to play a radio station; turn on the lights or provide a weather forecast or news update.

There is the same spectacular views as the lounge – not overlooked it is a pleasure to sleep with the curtains open listening to the waves lapping on the beach below, wake up in the morning and draw the curtains and gaze across Carbis Bay beach. Step out of the bedroom patio doors of your apartment and enjoy breakfast on the patio. From the master bedroom is a panoramic view of the beach across the bay to St. Ives and from Hayle to Godrevy Lighthouse. Bedroom Two

The second bedroom of Ultramarine is fitted with twin beds which are beautifully dressed with crisp White Company Egyptian cotton bed linen, large fitted mirrored wardrobes, and a Smart TV with Freeview, Catchup and Netflix with DVD player. A Sonos One player facilitates music streaming from the Spotify music subscription or your device; acts as an alarm; or enables voice control of the Philips Hue lighting. Wake up and ask Sonos’ Alexa to play a radio station or album; turn on the Philips Hue lights or provide a weather forecast or news update. The Hue lights can be varied in colour or brightness to provide the perfect ambience to suit your mood.
This quiet room will ensure that you sleep well after those long walks on the beach and cliffs.

Bathroom One

The main bathroom of Ultramarine has an extra large shower cubicle with a choice of fixed rain shower and adjustable shower heads. In addition there are a WC, wash basin and heated towel rail.

Bathroom Two

The en-suite to the master bedroom of Ultramarine has twin wash basins, WC, bidet, luxurious length double ended bath with overhead shower and heated towel rail. Bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel are provided per person. This is the place to unwind after those long hot sunny days on the beach or those springtime walks along the cliff.

Balcony

The balcony of Ultramarine is accessible from either the lounge or the master bedroom, with a patio table and four chairs. Imagine enjoying breakfast, aperitifs or dinner to the stunning backdrop to the sight and sounds of St. Ives Bay. In fact, the apartment is situated closer to the beach than it appears in this picture, being built on the cliffs directly above the beach. St Ives bay is one of the few to be given the award “Most Beautiful Bays in the World” – it is well deserved. Although completely safe we do recommend that all children are accompanied at all times. The balcony is directly above the garden from which a path leads down to the beach by a private gate. We like to think we have thought of everything and even provide you with beach towels and a superb picnic set for your day out.

Carbis Beach Apartments

Carbis Beach Apartments are located in a commanding position directly above Carbis Bay beach with stunning view across The Bay to St Ives and Godrevy Lighthouse.

Each apartment is centrally heated and furnished to the highest standard to provide year round enjoyment. Some of these 5 star graded apartments are more accessible than others as they can be reached either by stairs, lift or directly from the private gated car park. Once you have unpacked, drink in the views admire the the landscaped gardens and take the private pathway down to the beach. The two bedroomed accommodation consists of a large lounge/dining room, separate kitchen, master bedroom with en-suite, a second bedroom with twin beds and a family bathroom. The lounge and master bedrooms both have uninterrupted views of Carbis Bay beach and across to St. Ives. There is an allocated parking space behind secure gates and additional parking can be arranged on request.

We always walk into St Ives usually via the coastal path and occasionally along the road when visiting St Ives at night when there are no trains. We also often walk along the coastal path to Porth Kidney ( Hayle Towans) beach and love to do this when the tide is out also and we can walk this way along the beach. We had one trip out which was to Newlyn as I wanted to find a gallery there, we had a walk around and bought some locally caught Turbot there which was delicious. We dined at the Seafood restaurant on our first night out and had a splendid meal there also at the Loft on our second night. The view and everything else was great from this apartment and we felt quite at home whilst staying there."

I did leave a leaflet in the apartment for a Chinese restaurant in St Ives, which was fantastic. I can't remember the name though. I did the usual walks along the coastal path to Hayle, to St Ives the other way and, of course, on the beach. I also found an excellent 'health clinic' just set back from the main streets in St Ives (near the Chinese restaurant) where I would recommend anyone to go who suffers from any pain or energy-related illness. A lot of the time, however, I just relaxed at the apartment, taking in the view and the sound of the sea, watching a load of films.Thanks for another lovely stay."

Waking up the the sound of the waves every morning was idyllic. We didn't go on many walks but we did walk from the apartment to St Ives once. I would strongly recommend this (or at least getting the train), as driving in the centre of St Ives is difficult even at the quietest of times. We went for a few meals in St Ives and although we enjoyed each and every one, we particularly enjoyed The Loft., The Hub and Blas Burgerworks."

In order to make a booking, please either click on the Booking Calendar dates or enter your Arrival and Departure dates for your holiday, please bear in mind these should be a Changeover Day during April to October or in any school holiday period, unless at late notice.

For late notice breaks i.e. arrivals within 7 days, breaks are discounted by up to 20%, the dates can overlap a changeover day only if the overlap occurs within the next 7 days. Please note these reductions only apply to weekly bookings.

Short stays of 3 nights minimum are available between October and March, excluding bank holidays and school holidays. If booked in advance, the short break cannot overlap a changeover day.
