Living Area

The open plan living area boasts spectacular panoramic views across the bay via the double French doors, which open out onto the decked terrace. Sit back on the comfortable leather corner sofa and take in the views. Alternatively, why not take advantage of the excellent entertainment system which includes a 55” LED HD smart TV with Full Sky package including Movies and Sport, Playstation 3 with a selection of games, DVD player with a collection of DVDs, Nintendo Wii including games and Wii Fit board and complimentary Superfast wireless broadband all held within the matching media unit.

Within the living area you will also find a floor standing lamp and dimmable lighting, ideal for creating the perfect atmosphere. In the sideboard you will find a selection of books, board games, guides and a Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Airplay iPod dock.

Dining Area

The dining area forms part of the open plan living area and enjoys the fabulous views via the living area French doors. A glass table with four matching contemporary chairs are provided and there is a feature archway between the kitchen and the dining area, enabling chef to join in the conversation with the lounge.

Should you decide to dine out during your stay, why not hop on the coastal train and taste the delights that St Ives has to offer? The award winning Porthminster Beach Café is a real must especially on a warm day, as you can dine out on their terrace and soak up the fabulous bay views.

Hallway

Upon entering Viridian you are greeted into a spacious hallway where there is a large coir matting area for storing muddy walking boots and a phone entry security system for the main gates. You will also discover a utility cupboard where the iron, ironing board, clothes airer and a selection of beach equipment is stored.

Kitchen

The spacious kitchen offers ample storage within the white gloss units and plentiful preparation space on the black granite effect worktops. A feature archway allows you to enjoy the fabulous sea views out through the living area French doors whilst you cook. Integral appliances include a double oven-grill, gas hob with extractor above, dishwasher, washer-dryer and under-counter fridge. There is also a large American fridge-freezer with water and ice dispenser, microwave, kettle, toaster, filter coffee machine, hand blender and a great selection of utensils, crockery and glassware.

Bedroom One with En-suite

The bright and spacious master bedroom is situated to the front of the apartment and boasts stunning panoramic sea views. Swing open the double French doors which lead out onto the decked terrace and allow the fresh sea air to flow in. A comfortable king size bed is beautifully dressed with scatter cushions and throw, and ample storage is provided within the integral triple wardrobe, large chest of drawers and bedside drawers. You will also discover a vanity table with mirror and stool, wall mounted 32″ LCD Freeview television, hairdryer, bedside reading lamps, Bose bluetooth speaker, blackout curtains and luxury oak Amtico flooring.

Bedroom Two

Located to the rear of the property bedroom two has twin beds with a contemporary luxury headboard and is perfect for a quiet nights sleep. Furnished with matching chest of drawers & bedside table with reading lamp, double mirrored fitted wardrobe with hanging and shelf space, full length mirror and stool. You will also find oak Amtico flooring, curtains with blackout lining and venetian blinds. To keep you or the little ones entertained there is a 32″ LCD television with Freeview as well as an alarm clock bluetooth speaker.

Luxury crisp white cotton bed linen is provided in both bedrooms, along with a selection of high quality towels for each guest.

Bathroom One

The main bathroom of Viridian is conveniently located adjacent to bedroom two and is fully tiled with travertine. You are sure to enjoy the luxurious double walk in shower with twin rainfall shower heads and separate handheld shower head, perfect for an invigorating start to the day. A freestanding WC, wash basin, full height heated towel rail for keeping your towels nice and toasty and an illuminated demister vanity mirror with shaver point are also provided.

Bathroom Two

The en-suite to the master bedroom of Viridian has been fitted with a top of the range suite including separate whirlpool bath and a walk-in rainfall shower with luxurious body jets and separate handheld shower head. Freestanding twin wash basins, WC, full height chrome heated towel rail and twin illuminated demister vanity mirrors with shaver points are provided. This bathroom is also fully tiled with beautiful travertine. This is the place to unwind on your holiday after those long hot sunny days on the beach or those winter walks along the cliff.

Bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel are provided per person along with complimentary White Company toiletries in each bathroom. Although we provide weighing scales, you don’t have to use them; this is your holiday to relax.

Decked Terrace

The large decked terrace of Viridian extends across the whole of the frontage of the apartment so that you can step out of the double French doors from either the lounge or master bedroom. With rattan table, four chairs and footstalls you can enjoy dining al fresco overlooking the beautiful St Ives Bay. Part of the decked terrace is sheltered so that you can even enjoy the outside views when the weather is inclement. You may be lucky to observe the seals or dolphins that regularly visit Carbis Bay beach, but we guarantee that whatever the time of the year, you will enjoy the view across to St Ives or to Godrevy Lighthouse and the North Cornwall coastline.

Carbis Beach

Carbis Beach Apartments are located in a commanding position directly above Carbis Bay beach with stunning view across The Bay to St Ives and Godrevy Lighthouse.

Each apartment is centrally heated and furnished to the highest standard to provide year round enjoyment. Some of these 5 star graded apartments are more accessible than others as they can be reached either by stairs, lift or directly from the private gated car park. Once you have unpacked, drink in the views admire the the landscaped gardens and take the private pathway down to the beach.

The two bedroomed accommodation consists of a large lounge/dining room, separate kitchen, master bedroom with en-suite, a second bedroom with twin beds and a family bathroom. The lounge and master bedrooms both have uninterrupted views of Carbis Bay beach and across to St. Ives. There is an allocated parking space behind secure gates and additional parking can be arranged on request.

  • "We had a great holiday staying in Viridian. The apartment was perfectly laid out and beautifully clean. Everything we could have need was provided, even bucket and spade! The location was fabulous and we used the little train into St Ives which our three year old little girl loved. We had a great dinner out at the Alba restaurant next to the lifeboat house - pre dinner cocktails, superb seafood and the most mouth watering ice cream with liqueur coffees followed by a lovely wander around the old streets and then the last train back to Carbis Bay at 10.30pm. It was great to have a Tesco on hand for the extra clotted cream and bottles of Proper Job (a St Austell Brewery ale that has to be sampled).
    Ocean Sports on the beach at Carbis Bay were brilliant for Kayaking - when they weren't busy, they let us take the kayaks out for more than the allotted hour which only cost £7.50. They also gave us their phone number and said if they weren't on the beach then we could call and they would come down. What service! Our little girl went to Hands In Art at the Tate which was for 0 - 5 year olds, free of charge, and they could paint to their hearts' content. We have two masterpieces to frame - fantastic. "

  • "This was our first visit to Cornwall and will definitely not be our last. When we walked into the apartment the amazing view took our breath away, stunning!. The Viridian is beautiful and very well equipped. We visited the Porthminster Beach Café the food there is gorgeous, and what a stunning view. We took in quite a few of Cornwalls wonderful sights, The Eden Project – this is somewhere I have always wanted to visit and it didn’t disappoint. This is a place for all ages to visit. Lands End is quite spectacular as is Lizard Point both are something not to be missed on a visit. But my personal favorite was St. Michaels Mount. What a wonderful place, the gardens are stunning, so tropical. We went across by boat because the tide was in, but later in the day we saw people wading across to the mount on the causeway when the tide was turning. This is a magical place a jewel in Cornwall’s crown. "

As this was our first trip we went to a few different places and enjoyed seeing Lizard Point and Land’s End. Mousehole and St Mawes were nice little places but we didn’t think much to the larger places like Newquay and Falmouth. St Ives is beautiful and would spend more time there if we went again. Parking isn’t easy so may use the train from just behind the apartment another time. As for restaurants, we had a couple of nice meals at the Watermill in Lalent and the fish and chips were good from Becks near the apartment."

  • "We had a truly wonderful holiday, when we entered the apartment we were not disappointed. The little touches in the kitchen and in the bathroom made the stay quite luxurious. The weather was good, only one day of rain, but we were happy to sit in and read marvelling at the views. We enjoyed fish and chips at Becks, a good meal at La Cassita, The Loft at St Ives though this was a little more expensive. The Badger was excellent, the crab salad wonderful! The big advantage is that it serves food all day so after a long walk you can drop in and have an early meal before heading back to the apartment. We enjoyed walking into St Ives and walking back! Walks along the coast line and beaches. The walk to Godrevie was supberb. We also walked to Pothkidney Sands, the track going was rather muddy so sturdy shoes were need. We climbered up some rocks from the beach on the way back which avoided the muddy pathway. We visisted St Michael's Mount, Mousehole and Helegan. Being a garden lover I found Helegan fascinating."

  • "Viridian was a fantastic apartment, it is well equipped and I don’t think you could get a better view, we even managed breakfast on the terrace which given it was December was pretty good going. The local seals were in the bay and the beach was perfect for our 6 year old son so it really is an ideal location for a family holiday. We paid a visit to St Michaels Mount and Mousehole to see the Christmas lights, both of which are within easy driving distance as are most things south of St. Ives. We took the train into St. Ives, which took less than 5 minutes, and was so much easier than trying to park, and we found a lovely cafe tucked away on a Porthgwidden beach for afternoon tea. We also ventured as far as Padstow which is always worth a visit. Our favourite place, however, has to be “Fifteen” Jamie Oliver’s restaurant in Watergate Bay. It’s about 45 minutes drive from Carbis Bay but definitely worth the trip, We love the area and the beach life style and would definitely look to go back to Carbis Bay again in the future."

In order to make a booking, please either click on the Booking Calendar dates or enter your Arrive and Depart dates of your holiday, please bear in mind these should be a Changeover Day during April to October or in any school holiday period, unless at late notice.

For late notice breaks ie arrivals within 7 days, all breaks are discounted by 25% unless the owner has set a minimum rental, the dates can overlap a changeover day if the Arrive Date is within 7 days.

Short stays of 3 nights minimum are available between October and March, excluding bank holidays and school holidays. If booked in advance, the short break cannot overlap a changeover day.
