"We did enjoy our holiday in Cornwall, we hadn't been for 30 years and had forgotten how lovely it is. Amethyst was beautiful. The high and low tide indicator on the wall was very useful for our beach walks. for something different we went to the Bean Inn for a meal and is was very good, we both enjoyed our meals very much."

"Amethyst more than met our expectations in terms of location, quality, size and comfort. The welcome and hand over of keys was excellent and the cream tea and wine gratefully accepted and enjoyed. We were gifted with some wonderful weather for our stay which made the fantastic view from the apartment even more spectacular. Highlights for us were the walk to St Ives along the cliff tops, walking the other way to Lelant with dinner at the Badger Inn and our visits to St. Michaels Mount and Godrevy. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable week and we hope to return soon."
"We had a very enjoyable stay at Amethyst, and were not disappointed by the consistently high standard we have come to expect from Carbis Bay Holidays. This was our first visit for a New Year break, and it was a real bonus to find the train providing a regular service on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. It meant we could leave the car behind during our stay. The atmosphere was great, everything was open and the Cornish people made us feel very welcome. We would definitely recommend it."
"Amethyst was superb. My wife and I both said it is the best holiday home we have stayed in. It was immaculately clean, beautifully furnished and really well equipped. However it was the little touches that made the difference, in particular the welcome gifts."
"We were very pleased with our accommodation - clean, comfortable, well equipped and superb views over the bay."
"We had a great time and were really impressed by Amethyst, its location and the attention to detail. The administration, standard of accommodation and cleanliness of the property certainly did meet our expectations. In some ways it would have been better if the weather was worse - and then we would have been able to enjoy the apartment and its facilities a little bit more ! "
"Thank you for a lovely week away. Amethyst was lovely, everything needed in it, beautiful views, very clean and above my expectations. We had a lovely meal at the Watermill & the train into St Ives is very handy. "
"Thank you for a lovely break away at Carbis Bay, the apartment Amethyst was lovely with everything we needed."
"We had a superb stay in this lovely, clean, well equipped apartment. We will certainly holiday with Carbis Bay Holidays again. We would recommend visiting The Minack Theatre and its lovely café.The National Trust land at Godrevy around the lighthouse is breathtaking especially if you get to see the seals on the beach as we did!."
"Would also recommend Cafe Pasta in St Ives where we enjoyed some good food."
As usual, everything was fine. Amethyst was very clean and well equipped. As for walks and restaurants, we did our usual trip to St Ives on the train and ate in the Beach restaurant by the slip (great service, nice food, lovely views) We enjoyed watching three seals swimming by Smeaton's pier - just by the light. Never seen them so close before!
"We had a lovely holiday staying in Amethyst. The accommodation was superb - wonderful position, extremely well-appointed and spotlessly clean. The visitor information was very helpful and I think there is little we can add other then the choice of restaurants in St Ives was fantastic and that it would be difficult to have a bad meal there!"

"Amethyst was every bit that it promised to be. It was very comfortable and well equipped and have no complaints at all. Booking the apartment was easy and trouble free and the checking in arrangements smooth. The cream tea and wine were a very welcome bonus. We would definitely consider booking this apartment again and have already recommended it to friends."
