“We have recently returned from holidaying with you and booked the lodge for a relaxing week for both of us and it certainly was. The lodge was beautiful, clean and very well equipped everything you needed was there and more. It was a great base for exploring the wonderful countryside of Cornwall. The recent addition of the hot tub was a good move, as after a day of walking and sightseeing, it's lovely to hop in and relax, looking over the bay watching the lights come on one by one in the houses below. I would love return one day with my grandchildren as I'm sure they would love the house and the great beaches Cornwall has to offer. Thank you Carbis Bay Holidays for a fantastic week and hope to return sometime soon.“
“We had a fabulous holiday in Carbis Bay and Fernhill Lodge provided us with everything we needed to give us a memorable and fantastic holiday! The quality of the furniture, fittings and extra touches, like the fresh flowers on our arrival, was first class. The owner of Fernhill Lodge has first class taste in fitting out the house! The house accommodated six of us comfortably. We enjoyed the balcony for breakfast every morning - the view from there is truly superb! Who needs to go abroad, when you can enjoy that while on holiday! The garden and hot tub were a fantastic addition and a big hit with the whole family.”
“The accommodation was excellent, this is the fourth “Fernhill lodge is absolutely stunning. I will try and list comments to make it easier to read.
The Housekeeper met us on arrival and was lovely and very welcoming. She showed us all around the house and offered some tips on local pubs, walks etc. which was very useful.
The house has everything you could possibly want. It is fitted out to the very highest standard and is immaculately clean. The bedrooms are beautiful, with high quality bedding and furniture.
The gardens with hot tub and sun loungers was very much appreciated and enjoyed every day. The position overlooking the stunning Carbis Bay would be difficult to top! We enjoyed breakfast on the first floor terrace every morning and took in the spectacular view. We would definitely return to Fernhill and would recommend Carbis a Bay Holiday to everyone. Thank you all very much.“
“We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Fernhill Lodge. The booking process was very easy and reassuring and allowed the opportunity to pay the final deposit later if need be. The housekeeper, Michelle Moffett met us on the day to show us around and was very welcoming. The property was spotless and presented to a high standard and very well equipped. The hot tub was a nice bonus.”
"We had a wonderful time at Carbis Bay, The house was truly amazing, everything we expected and more. The hot tub was definitely a bonus, we all enjoyed it. Fernhill Lodge was lovely and clean, very light and airy, and very well equipped, the views from the balcony were stunning. We enjoyed breakfast on the patio every morning , listening to the birds singing and taking in the lovely views across Carbis Bay. We found a lovely little pub the Cornish Arms about 10min walk from house, the food was tasty and very good value, the owners were very pleasant made us all welcome. we would recommended it highly. The local Tesco up the road was very handy for any essentials we needed. We enjoyed the lovely walk down to Carbis beach, and had a nice coffee and ice cream at the beach cafe with views to die for. The train ride into St Ives was lovely, very relaxing and again stunning views , only 4 mins journey for £1.00. In St Ives we can recommend the Alba Restaurant for something a little bit special, and the Life boat pub/restaurant for lovely food at reasonable prices. I must mention the Taxis services we used on a couple of occasions, Ace Cars in st Ives very reasonably priced, friendly. and prompt. Overall we had a wonderful holiday, and we will definitely consider staying at Fernhill Lodge again "Pure Luxury"."
"We were VERY impressed with our holiday in Fernhill Lodge. The location is out of this world, the standard of cleanliness was wonderful, it was spotless. The house was spacious. luxurious, and had every conceivable requirement covered. All in all, we had one of our best holidays ever. We visit Cornwall a lot, and my favourite places to visit are Fowey, Padstow, Mousehole, Mevagissy, and of course, St Ives. I love the light and the way that its completely different to anywhere else we visit. The shops/galleries and eateries are great...we bought several things from 'beatengreen' this visit. A new shop/workshop thats been opened. Welcome addition, its 'shabby chic' furniture is funky and fab. As always we ate at Porthminster cafe a couple of times. The quality of the food/views to die for combination wins me over every time. We also enjoyed a lovely carvery Sunday Lunch at The Lifeboat Inn, a pub in the harbour, where the bar staff and waiting staff were really friendly and full of local knowledge."

"We have just returned from a great week at Fernhill Lodge. This is an amazing house from the fabulous views, to the lovely furnishings, to the location and “kerb appeal”, to the free WIFI and SKY TV, to the general comfort of everyone – almost faultless. Can highly recommend Ben’s Kitchen in Marazion, The Beach Restaurant at Sennen, Godrevy Café, The Cherry Tree Café in Padstow – these all excelled themselves in terms of food and service."
"We had a wonderful time staying in Fernhill Lodge, all we had hoped for am more. It was beautifully appointed and very clean. The administration was very efficient. Overall it was a lovely place to stay and I’d recommend it without hesitation to anyone. Our favourite outings were the Eden Project, surfing at Sennen Cove, the Minack Theatre, the Tin mine and the Paradise Park. We had a particularly good lunch at the Portminster Beach Café and very much enjoyed wandering into St Ives. The trip to Land’s End and St Michael’s Mount were also great. Carbis Bay Beach itself was a huge hit."

"First of all we were all absolutely thrilled with the house, from the cleanliness to the extra (beer) fridge to the built in grass slide in the garden which was hours of fun for the kids! I don't think we did anything out of the ordinary as far as day trips etc, St Ives on the train, St Michael's Mount, Padstow etc. All the information provided to get us to local amenities was clear and extremely useful so I don't think we came away thinking it was lacking."
"As usual we had a fabulous holiday in Carbis Bay and at Fernhill Lodge. We love the house and literally have to tear ourselves away at the end of the week. The light, space, views and general comfort make it second to none."
"We had a fantastic week in an amazing house, the administration and welcome to house was very good, the standard of accommodation was excellent probably the best house we have stayed in, cleanliness was excellent. Train to St Ives was much better than driving and parking. The Bean Inn (Veggie) restaurant 1 min walk from house was really good (visited twice). 40 min drive was National trust Glendurgan Garden TR11 5JZ, fantastic gardens, a maze and a beach."
"We can honestly say on behalf of both families that we had a fantastic time and were “blown away” by the spectacular views from the balcony at Fernhill Lodge. We defy anyone not to instantly relax once greeted by the view across the bay. We are sure that spring and summer would be a different and exciting experience. As for the accommodation the size and facilities were first class and the attention to detail, such as kitchen utensils and technology were always surprising. Fernhill Lodge is also a great location to explore the southern tip of Cornwall such as Lands End, Penzance, Truro etc. We certainly had a wonderful end to 2010 at Fernhill Lodge and preferred to entertain ourselves at the Lodge especially as we were able to see many local firework displays at midnight. Thank you for your attention to detail for our stay and we would have no hesitation in returning in the future and to recommending to others the value of your offering."
"We really enjoyed our holiday and Fernhill Lodge. we thought the standard of accommodation and cleanliness was very high and more than met expectations. We recommend The Loft and Alfresco for Dinner and the Fish and Chip shop in Carbis Bay is fantastic. We completely recommend Claire who came around to babysit for us as she lives just around the corner."
"Wood, steel, glass - all are polished to perfection. And that view of St Ives Bay is a wow! This modern architect-designed house has been fitted to a super-high standard and the technology is swishly modern, from the surround sound and the TVs with Sky to the toasty ash floors and the iPod docks by the bed."

"We had a wonderful fortnight at Fernhill Lodge, even though the weather was very changeable: sunny days to rain, sleet and snow. But Fernhill with its wonderful window gives you an ever changing view across an amazing bay. On wet, cold, snowy days, it was great to come back to a warm, light and comfortable house, with all the amenities. Log Gas Fire, Sky TV, Broadband internet. Didn't want to go home!"

We visited the Eden Project and the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth and also drove down to Land's End - all of which we enjoyed.
