Pentreath is a beautiful dog friendly holiday home in Cornwall, perfect for coastal family holidays. Ideally located just a five minute walk from the award winning Carbis Bay beach or within just two minutes of the South West Coast Path for peaceful walks to St Ives. Pentreath is a beautiful house accommodating five guests in complete luxury, with fabulous outdoor areas for enjoying alfresco dining.
Upon entering Pentreath you are greeted into a porch where you will find a cupboard for hanging coats and a chest where you will find a variety of beach gear for your use. There is also a mirror and a handy shelf for string keys etc.
The spacious living area overlooks the front lawn and offers the perfect area for socialising with all of the family. Two comfortable chocolate leather sofas and two armchairs are well positioned for enjoying the cosy gas fire, or the entertainment package which includes a 42” Panasonic LED television with BT Vision, Samsung Blu-ray player with a selection of DVDs, Nintendo Wii with a selection of games and a Wii Fit board, complimentary Wi-Fi and a music system. Solid oak flooring is laid throughout and a sideboard with board games, local guides, maps and reading books can be found.
The dining area is conveniently located within the kitchen, ideal for socialising with those busy preparing meals. A table and six chairs is situated next to the patio doors and overlooks the pretty rear courtyard garden.
For those nights when you decide to dine out, Becks Fish and Chips is just a ten minute walk away and offers a great restaurant, or why not have a takeaway and eat them on the beach, watching the sun go down?
The modern kitchen-diner overlooks the rear courtyard garden and offers ample storage within the charcoal gloss units and plentiful work top space. Contemporary charcoal slither splash back tiles and an integrated oven-grill, four burner gas hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave and integral feature wine rack can be found. A hand blender, juicer, toaster and kettle are provided, along with a great selection of utensils, crockery, glassware, cookery books, picnic set and Sonons Speakers.
The utility room is accessed from the kitchen or via the back door, ideal for washing off muddy paws before entering the property. A washing machine, sink, iron and ironing board are provided.
The master bedroom is located to the rear of the property, adjacent to the family bathroom. A comfortable king size bed is sumptuously dressed and two bedside tables with matching reading lamps can be found. Built in wardrobes provide ample hanging/shelf storage and a 22” LCD Freeview television, and hairdryer are provided for your use.
Located to the front of the property, this bright and airy room offers zip and link twin beds which can conveniently be joined together to make a luxurious super-king size bed. This room is fully carpeted, as are all the bedrooms, and also benefits from glimpses of St Ives Bay. A double wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables with matching reading lamps, full length mirror and a hairdryer are provided.
Also located to the front of the property and benefiting from sea glimpses, this bedroom offers a single bed with bedside table, reading lamp, chest of drawers with vanity mirror, built-in wardrobe and hairdryer.
Luxury cotton bed linen is provided in both bedrooms with a selection of high quality towels for each guest.
The family bathroom is located on the first floor, adjacent to bedroom one and is fully tiled with beautiful sandstone ceramics. The white bathroom suite comprises of a p-shaped bath with overhead shower, WC and a large wash basin with storage underneath. A vanity mirror with shaver socket and light above can be found, along with a large mirrored cabinet, perfect for storing your toiletries.
A cloak room is located within the utility room and offers a WC.
A selection of high quality towels comprising of bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel are provided per person. Complimentary White Company toiletries are also provided.
Rear Court Yard Garden
The peaceful, walled, courtyard garden is situated to the rear of the property and can be accessed via the dining area patio door, utility room or via the side of the property which is gated. A garden bench is located in this beautiful little suntrap, perfect for enjoying a relaxing read in the afternoon. A table, four chairs and a large Webber BBQ are also provided for alfresco dining. A hose is available, ideal for washing off wetsuits and beach gear.
A small garden is located to the front of the property and is laid to lawn.

A lovely stay in a very comfy home. Loved the extra touches on arrival and treats for Domino the doggie. Weather slightly mixed but fine, enjoyed exploring the area.
Another lovely stay. 2nd visit to Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens in Penzance. A dog friendly garden, well worth a visit. Lovely food book a table outside if the dog comes too for lunch! La Casita is a lovely sea food restaurant and dog friendly. A short walk from the house. We will be back!
This was our first time here and we simply loved it! Fabulous facilities and perfect location for the beach, both at Carbis Bay and our fantastic place St Ives. The only room for improvement would be a few more recycling bins as we got through a lot of bottles of wine! Looking forward to coming back next year! Thank you.
We had a lovely stay at Pentreath and especially enjoyed the walk to Porthkidney beach. Should we come back to Cornwall, we would like to stay here in ‘our’ house again!

It has been a lovely house to stay in. It had everything we needed! Also, due to the winder winds hanging on in there it was very cosy and warm to come home to. We have enjoyed Carbis Bay. We usually stay in St Ives itself, but we have enjoyed our walks in and walk back along the coastal path. Thank you for a lovely stay & adding to our fantastic family memories.

"We had a fantastic holiday and although we have been to Cornwall many times, the little extras Carbis Bay Holidays provided, made it a bit more special! It was a very long journey and to be welcomed with a cream tea was a lovely surprise. The house was amazing and very clean, and everything you could possibly need was provided. Our favourite walk was to pick up fish and chips at St Ives harbour, then walk through the back streets until we came to the little church perched on top of The Island. It’s such a breathtaking place to sit and have a picnic, we really didn’t want to leave. We loved the little shops in the High Street especially the one that sells the most amazing curry sauces and pickles. The shopkeepers were extremely friendly and urged us to think about coming back for the New Year. (Something we hadn’t considered before). This is the first time in many years that everyone in the family wanted to stay longer. The house had a lovely feel to it and is very well placed near the train station and for walking to the shops. We really can’t wait to come back and would definitely recommend ‘Carbis Bay Holidays’ and ‘Pentreath’."

"I think we were the first guests at Pentreath and I have to compliment both yourselves and the owners for making this a great base for our Easter holiday. The cleaning was exceptional and the property beautifully prepared for our arrival, all the furnishing has been carefully thought out by the owner and provides a lovely holiday feel. We entertained our grandchildren for some of the time so the games and toys for indoor and outdoor use were appreciated. It was a pleasure to return to the property after long days out exploring the area. We would strongly recommend Paradise Park, managing to amuse the kids for over 5 hours, the beach is of course just a short walk away from Pentreath so that provided daily free entertainment. We had a takeaway from Becks, had a lovely brunch at Godrevy Cafe with a refreshing walk on the beach afterwards, what stunning views to Godrevy Lighthouse. Another trip to recommend was to the Seal Sanctuary at Gweek, again this kept the kids amused for a long time - educational as well! All in all, it was great holiday and Pentreath suited us as an ideal base to look around the area, loved the rear garden, quite a sun trap great for a bbq."
