“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Sanctuary for the second time. The accommodation is always immaculate and we cannot fault the facilities provided. The Housekeeper was very good and very friendly and the booking process is easy.”
"We were very impressed with the standard of The Sanctuary. It was very clean and well equipped with good quality furnishings. We were met on our arrival by friendly staff and there was a lot of information in the apartment regarding St. Ives and the surrounding area. We were really pleased to have the small decking area to sit in especially as we had our dog Delta with us. We found everyone in the area to be very friendly and we ate out at several restaurants. The Porthminster Beach Café was a favourite and we had a very special anniversary meal there. Luckily we picked a great week for weather so were able to sit outside with Delta. We also loved the outside area at The Loft and were given a good welcome (and a chew for Delta) at Onshore. One night we enjoyed fish and chips from Becks. We also travelled to a favourite haunt of ours at Cadgwith and Coverack. Delta loved her walks on the beach before 8am and we also walked a couple of times to Carbis Bay and had sandwiches and a glass of wine at The Carbis Bay Hotel (not cheap but a lovely location). I think Delta's favourite beach was at Lelant after we have driven there and parked at the church. She could not wait to go for a swim and have a roll in the sand!It was really great to find such a lovely apartment where we could also take our dog and we thoroughly enjoyed our week in St. Ives."

"We had a delightful holiday in the Sanctuary. The accommodation was excellent, a very well equipped apartment within easy walking distance to the town, spotlessly clean and with the added advantage of a parking space which is a big bonus in St Ives. We enjoyed walking the coastal path to Carbis Bay and walking down to Porthminster beach with or little dog Lola."
"We had a marvelous holiday at St Ives in the Sanctuary. The accommodation was excellent, and the weather could not have been better for what we had planned. We went to the Minack theatre on our first day, this is a magical experience. We also went to St Michaels mount for a day, again breathtaking. We had several walks, we drove to St Just and walked round Cape Cornwall and were lucky enough to see Choughs on the cliffs. We also walked from the apartment to Lelant via the costal path. Our longest walk was from St Ives to Zennor via the costal path, quite strenuous but enjoyable."
"We had a wonderful time as usual and would like to say how welcome we were made, we visited Cadgwith and it was beautiful and so interesting. Lunch on the sun trap terrace at The Loft was superb and so nice to have our little dog sitting with us there. Def. would recommend this."
"We were very happy with the standard & cleanliness of the accommodation, we loved our walk along the cliffs to Carbis Bay. We have previously enjoyed visiting Paradise Bird Park at Hayle, a truly great day out! The famous Sloop Inn served us with some great food and also allowed 'Harry' our pet Golden Retriever to share the experience with us. Despite the time of the year, April showers and all, the weather was good enough some days for our grandson to play for hours on the Porthminster Beach."
"We had a lovely stay at The Sanctuary, the accommodation was first class clean and had equipped with everything we needed and required. We went to the Minack Theatre which is a must, we also went to Hobblers restaurant where we were served with fantastic steaks, as always the staff in and around St Ives are very friendly."
"Everything was delightful again. 2nd time we've stayed at The Sanctuary - it is well appointed, well located, peaceful."
"We had a great week at The Sanctuary, I cannot fault anything in terms of how we were dealt with and the level of service. The apartment was of a very high quality as were the amenities. We were particularly impressed that we could take our dog with us. We would definitely stay there again."
"We had a fantastic stay at The Sanctuary everything was very clean and the modern contempary furniture made us very comfortable. As for walks, we did the coastal path from St Ives to Carbis Bay which enabled us to enjoy some fabulous views across the Bay. We also visited the National Trust site at Godrevy but there were no seals to see that day, luckily we saw 4 in St Ives Harbour on Saturday night so we weren't too disappointed!! We took off to Marazion and went across to St Michaels Mount which is another good walk to the top for anyone feeling energetic . Our favourite was the Ocean Grill restaurant on the Harbour Front."
"We had a wonderful time at The Sanctuary and were very impressed with the high standard of cleanliness and the choice of interior design. It exceeded our expectations, the small touches really made this a truly wonderful break and the flexibility to check in and out allowed us to have more time in St Ives."
"The Sanctuary was fantastic, it had everything we needed and was superbly clean and well organised. We went horse riding, had surf lessons and did coasteering. It was all amazing fun!! We ate out at many great restaurants and love the Sea Food Cafe."
"10 out of 10 and weather too!"
"We were really impressed with The Sanctuary and had a great stay there. It's brilliantly situated and the standard of accommodation was excellent as well as the presentation/cleanliness. We would highly recommend it to friends and family in the future and we thank you for the high level of service. We hope to be coming back again in the future."
"We were so impressed with the apartment and particularly the high standard of cleanliness and decor. It was extremely well equipped and we found everything we needed (and plenty more!). We would recommend both the apartment and Carbis Bay holidays to others as everything was so well organised and stress free and excellent value for money."
"We had an excellent holiday. the apartment was spotless, very well equipped and in an excellent location. We had our border collie with us, who totally enjoyed the walks to Carbis Bay and Lelant, especially as he could run free at Lelant which is one of the biggest beaches I have seen for a while and provides an enjoyable walk with wonderful views."
"We had a wonderful time staying in St-Ives in the Sanctuary apartment. The apartment was very clean and modern and located in a wonderful position. We would have no hesitation in recommending to others and returning which we often do and found the apartment to be very pet friendly with the decked area from the patio a great sun-trap. First class accommodation in our favourite place in the UK, Fantastic holiday and many thanks for the opportunity of taking our Cairn terrier, George who also loved his holiday!!!"
"We enjoyed the holiday a great deal. The apartment was of a very high standard and we felt we had every thing we could need. It had the luxury of a hotel but we also had the space and privacy from having our own rented accommodation which was great for a holiday with an elderly relative. We enjoyed visiting the Barbara Hepworth garden and the Minack theatre particularly. We had a lovely time and it was a holiday we will treasure."
"I absolutely loved my week in St Ives primarily because of The Sanctuary, it was lovely and warm and cosy in the flat. It was clean and nicely decorated. I also appreciated the fact that I could bring the dog who also seemed to enjoy being there as she settled in with the greatest of ease and behaved impecably."
"We had a wonderful holiday in St Ives and found The Sanctuary to be first class both in its facilities and location. Due to having a 17 month old daughter we didn\'t eat out during the holiday but I found the open plan aspect of the apartment to be great allowing me to have fun with the family whilst I prepared our evening meals."
"We enjoyed our holiday at The Sanctuary very much. We thought the accommodation was excellent - the decor was very good, and in particular the level of facilities and overall cleanliness was exceptional. The position proved to be very optimal as well. It was close enough to get into St Ives town centre and the beaches in a few minutes, but far enough away to avoid the congestion - a very good balance."
"Outstanding! The apartment has been ideal for our purposes and offers a very good standard of accommodation in a very convenient setting. All in all a very good experience and given the late booking - a miraculous achievement. Thank you Carbis Bay Holidays for your first class service from a very happy customer."
"I would like to say how much we loved St. Ives and the accommodation at The Sanctuary during our four day visit there. The accommodation waa top-notch, well situated and exceptionally clean. Thanks to Kathy and her son for meeting us there and also for the flowers and 'welcoming pack'."
