All of this within a short walk to the white sandy beaches of St Ives and Carbis Bay making it the perfect holiday destination for family and friends, and a location with the wow factor for any special occasion.

As soon as you walk into Salt House you are wowed by the panoramic ocean views in front of you through the floor to ceiling glazed doors that make up the entire seaward wall of the house. Throughout the house these full height doors allow you to constantly view the changing seascape outside, it has been cleverly designed to allow you to wander in and out from balconies or the fabulous landscaped terrace garden so that you are never far from the beautiful surroundings. Every thought has been given to allow the sense of complete peace and tranquility as you relax in this home from home.

Living Area

The wonderfully spacious open plan living/dining area of Salt House can be found off the entrance hallway on the ground floor. This fantastic room is sure to impress all guests with its Douglas fir flooring, ribbon flame gas fire, contemporary furnishings, original artwork and floor to ceiling sliding doors which lead out onto a spacious 40′ wide covered balcony. The panoramic sea views from here are magnificent, sweeping across St Ives Bay to Hayle Towans taking in Godrevy lighthouse. For your comfort there is a large modular sofa arranged for guests to enjoy the 55” Samsung Smart LED TV with Sky HD+ with Movies & Sports providing endless cartoons, films, series and documentaries. There is also a Playstation 4 console, a Blu Ray DVD player along with a DVD library and games selection. In addition there is a Denon surround sound system allowing you to connect via a mini ipad to the Sonos system with Napster subscription and Bluetooth capabilities, choose from your own music library and really set the mood for your holiday.

Dining Area

The dining area is situated within the open plan living space and is perfectly positioned to take advantage of the sea views through the floor to ceiling doors, as well as for socialising with those preparing dinner in the kitchen. Furnished with a large oak table seating 10, three pendent lights and an oak sideboard, you may not want to venture out for your holiday! If you do decide to taste the culinary delights which St Ives has to offer, we thoroughly recommend the town’s fine dining restaurants, such as the The Seafood Café and Seagrass and of course not forgetting the award winning Porthminster Beach Café.

There is a further modern and spacious W.C with basin, large mirror and vanity light.

Access is provided to the garden through a door to the side of the dining and kitchen areas. This door provides access to the garden via a flight of 14 paved steps (with additional access provided downstairs directly from the bedrooms or side door).

Balcony

A full width covered and decked balcony of 40′ width with a frameless glass balustrade provides you with the opportunity to take in the fantastic coastal views.

Entrance Hallway

When entering this stunning home, you are greeted into a welcoming hallway with views across St Ives Bay that will take your breath away, you will also find the stairway to the first floor.

Kitchen

The stunning modern Keller designed kitchen of Salt House has high gloss doors and drawers accompanied with Corian sink and worksurfaces and boasts simple clean lines and an elegant finish. Sliding doors open out from the kitchen to a terrace dining area which has a stone table with two matching bench seats which make a perfect spot for an al fresco drink.

You will find everything you need for entertaining here. Enjoy cooking at the island with the most wonderful sea view and the company of guests sat at the four bar stools. The owners have thought of everything with a large gas hob with wok ring, a Miele integrated oven, two integrated Siemens larder fridges, an integrated Siemans freezer, built in Miele microwave/combi oven, a full size 14 place Miele dishwasher, an integrated Miele coffee machine with milk steamer and a Delonghi Primadonna coffee machine. Le Creuset saucepans, two four slice Dualit Combi toasters with sandwich cages, digital scales, Breville tosted sandwich maker, Dualit extra large rapid boil kettle, Kenwood Triblade hand blender, Phillips juicer, three cafetieres ( 2 large, 1 small), and a great selection of Sophie Conran bakeware, Allessi utensils and cutlery, Joseph Joseph knives, chopping boards and accessories. Orla Kiely bread bin and storage jars, Denby tea set, as well as Alessi, Joseph Joseph and Sophie Conran designer crockery, Alessi childrens cutlery and crockery, a selection of gardenware crockery & cutlery, picnic bag with blanket, eventware and plastic partyware. All can be found ensuring you have all you need to make your stay a home from home.

Should you feel that you would like a night off or are planning a special meal at home or simply looking for a complete break, we will arrange for a chef to visit Salt House to prepare your meal for you. Simply ask before you arrive or during your stay.

Utility Room

Laundry facilities are available in a separate utility room with a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing table are located across the rear terrace through the sliding doors from the kitchen.

Upstairs Storage Cupboard

There are two high chairs, two booster seats, two travel cots, two potties, two toddler steps, two oversize non slip bathmats and a baby monitor are stored in the upstairs landing cupboard ready for any smaller members of the family.

Whilst the ‘Master Bedroom’ at Salt House is located adjacent to the landscaped gardens, all of the bedrooms are spacious and benefit from stunning bathrooms with sea views, in particular Bedroom One and Two could serve as second and third master bedrooms should they be required for a large party of guests.

Bedroom One with En-Suite and Private Balcony

Bedroom One is located off the first floor landing alongside Bedroom two and benefits from spectacular sea views across the North Cornish coastline. It is an extremely spacious room which also has a king size oak bed and designer furnishings from Ligne Roset, Conran and Heals. The room benefits from dimmable lighting options allowing you to choose your own mood of lighting. With its own sea facing balcony and floor to ceiling doors with stunning views encompassing Godrevy Lighthouse, Porthkidney Sands and Hawkes Point. The designer furniture has been carefully chosen for your comfort with a large wardrobe with drawers, shelves and hanging space, two matching oak bedside tables with lamps and oak flooring. There are two low level easy chairs along with a glass and chrome coffee table. Entertainment is provided with a wall mounted 32″ Samsung HD TV with Blu Ray DVD player, Sky HD Multiroom with Movies and Sports and Pure DAB radio with Bluetooth for streaming your own music and local artwork adorn the walls. There are two chairs outside on the balcony should you want to enjoy an alfresco moments peace.

Bedroom One En-Suite You may well have to draw lots with the other guests in your party for this room as Bedroom One has an ensuite to die for! With Victoria and Albert designer suite, sea views from the bath and rain shower.

Bedroom Two with En-Suite and Private Balcony

Bedroom Two is an extremely spacious room with a stunning feature bathroom located off the first floor landing on the front seaward side of the property with stunning views from the balcony across the north Cornish Coastline. This bedroom is accessed via the stairway of 14 steps leading off the entrance hallway on the ground floor. It has a king size bed with Ligne Roset headboard and accents of the popular designer Orla Kiely throughout the room as well as furniture from Conran and Heals. The room also benefits from dimmable lighting options allowing you to choose your own mood of lighting. With its floor to ceiling glazed doors, guests are spoilt with the view. There is a large built in wardrobe with drawers, shelves and hanging space, two matching bedside tables with lamps and oak flooring throughout. For your comfort there are two low level easy chairs along with a glass and chrome coffee table perfectly positioned to make the most of the stunning views. Entertainment is provided with a wall mounted 32″ Samsung HD TV with Blu Ray DVD player, Sky HD Multiroom with Movies and Sports and Pure DAB radio with Bluetooth for streaming your own music. Outside there are two chairs on the balcony and the frameless glazed balustrade allows you to drink in the sea views throughout the day.

Bedroom Two En-Suite

Bedroom Two has a stunning and spacious, modern designer bathroom which is the perfect place to pamper with a feature bath and rain shower.

Master Bedroom with En-Suite and access to decked terrace and garden

The Master Bedroom is located adjacent to the landscaped gardens positioned to the front seaward side of the property, it has floor to ceiling sliding doors with sea views and access onto the terrace and garden beyond. It has a king size oak bed with matching bedside tables, lamps, chest of drawers and a dressing table with large vanity mirror. The owners have added a touch of indulgence with a walk-in wardrobe with masses of hanging and shelving space for all of your holiday outfits. Located in a quiet space is a dressing table with mirror and chair perfect for getting ready for a night out or easily modified to a study area should you need to catch up on a few emails. The bedroom and wardrobe benefit from wool carpet throughout. There is a designer high back arm chair and standard lamp should you want to catch up on the days news. Entertainment is provided with a wall mounted 32″ Samsung HD TV with Blu Ray DVD player, Sky HD Multiroom with Movies and Sports and Pure DAB radio with Bluetooth for streaming your own music. There are two sun loungers outside on the terrrace for you to recline in the warm Cornish sun.

A set of crisp white, fresh bed linen and a bath sheet, bath towel, hand towel, flannel and bathrobe are provided for each guest.

A hairdryer can be found in each of the five bedrooms.

Every bathroom has a vanity mirror, shaver point and bespoke storage under the sink.

Main Family Bathroom

The family bathroom is located on the lower ground floor adjacent to the landscaped gardens positioned to the front seaward side of the property, the bathroom is easily accessible to Bedrooms four and five. The bathroom suite comprises a luxury bath, wash basin, w.c., large mirror with vanity light, shaver point and chrome heated towel rail. The spacious walk-in rain shower is a real treat and also has a separate hand shower.

En-suite to Bedroom One

The en-suite to bedroom two is a real indulgence with a free standing Victoria and Albert double ended slip bath from which you can view the sea, a walk in rain shower with very large shower head and separate hand shower, large designer wash basin with room for two, mirror and wc.

En-suite to Bedroom Two

This spacious stunning en-suite boasts a walk in rain shower, luxury bath, large designer wash basin, large mirror with vanity light and shaver point, striking designer coil chrome towel rail and w.c.

En-suite to Master Bedroom

The en-suite to the Master Bedroom is a real luxury with a free standing Victoria and Albert designer slip bath from which you can view the sea through the glass wall, a walk in rain shower with separate hand shower, large designer wash basin for two, mirror and w.c. Storage is available on some bespoke shelving under the sink.

W.C.

There is a w.c. and wash hand basin on the ground floor.

A hand towel, bath towel, bath sheet and bathrobe are provided for each guest, together with complimentary White Company toiletries.

Garden

The beautiful and tranquil landscaped gardens that surround the property are enclosed and very private. There are two sun loungers provided for you to relax.

The large paved sun terrace that extends the full width of the house has a large sociable dining table that seats 10 along with a BBQ should you decide to make the most of the Cornish weather and dine alfresco.

The garden extends down two further terraces which have been grassed and are perfect for a family game of french cricket. A range of garden games are provided for your entertainment.

To the side of the house and garden is a gate which provides easy access to the beautiful coastal path on Hain Walk that leads within minutes to the beaches of St Ives in one direction and Carbis Bay in another.

In order to make a booking, please either click on the Booking Calendar dates or enter your Arrive and Depart dates of your holiday, please bear in mind these should be a Changeover Day during April to October or in any school holiday period, unless at late notice.

For late notice breaks ie arrivals within 7 days, all breaks are discounted by 25% unless the owner has set a minimum rental, the dates can overlap a changeover day if the Arrive Date is within 7 days.

Short stays of 3 nights minimum are available between October and March, excluding bank holidays and school holidays. If booked in advance, the short break cannot overlap a changeover day.
