‘Alfred Wallis’ is located within the eaves of Tate Reach, yet still offers a bright and airy atmosphere. Exposed beams and reclaimed boat propellers certainly adds to the apartment’s seaside ambience, along with the beautiful neutral interiors. The open plan living area is great for those who like to socialise, and with the amazing sea views via the two sets of double French doors and Velux window, we doubt you will want to leave.
Within the living area you will find a corner sofa which comfortably seats four and a cream leather arm chair with matching footstool is perfectly positioned for taking in the views. The superb entertainment package includes a 26” LCD television with integral DVD and Sky including Movies and Sport, Playstation III with a selection of games and Blu-ray discs and complimentary Wi-Fi. Solid Oak floor throughout.
The dining area is perfectly positioned between the living area and kitchen. An oak dining table with four matching chairs is situated in front of the Velux windows, making the most of the fabulous views.
Should you decide to dine out during your stay, a wonderful selection of restaurants are within just a three minute walk of the property. Why not enjoy a romantic meal at the Porthmeor Beach Café whilst watching the sunset? The café offers some great outdoor booths for alfresco romantic dining, but be sure to booking well in advance.
Upon entering ‘Alfred Wallis’, you are greeted into a hallway where you will find a coat hanging area and mirror.
The kitchen at ‘Alfred Wallis’ forms part of the open plan living area and is lovely and spacious. Oak fitted units provide ample storage and plentiful preparation space can be found on the black granite effect work tops. Integral appliances comprise of a five burner gas hob with extractor above, oven/grill, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, fridge and freezer. Brick style splash back tiles and plinth lighting add to the kitchens contemporary feel. A great selection of utensils including toaster and kettle can be found, along with crockery, glassware and cutlery. You will also find a utility cupboard where the iron, ironing board and clothes airer is stored.
Bedroom One with En-suite
Both bedrooms are peacefully situated to the rear of the property and offer wet room en-suites. The master bedroom boasts a beautifully dressed king size bed with shabby chic bedside tables, matching reading lamps, chest of drawers, vanity mirror, chair, large mirror, clothes hanging area, hairdryer and a 22” LCD television with linked Sky from the living area. Although the room looks to the rear of Tate Reach, you can still see Porthminster beach from the window.
Bedroom Two with En-suite
Bedroom two is equally tranquil with shaker style twin beds, vintage style bedside table, reading lamp, chest of drawers, chair, vanity mirror, hanging area, 18” LCD television with linked Sky from the living area and a hairdryer. As with bedroom one, bedroom two provides blinds at the windows, but this room offers views across to Clodgy, taking in the Tate St Ives.
Luxury white cotton bed linen is provided in both bedrooms with a selection of high quality towels for each guest.
The en-suite wet room to the master bedroom is full tiled with Travertine ceramics and offers a rainfall shower, WC, freestanding wash basin with vanity mirror and shelf above, under floor heating and chrome heated towel rail.
The en-suite to bedroom two is also a wet room with rain fall shower, WC, freestanding wash basin with backlit mirror above, under floor heating, chrome heated towel rail for keeping your towels nice and toasty and is fully tiled in Travertine.
A selection of high quality towels comprising of bath sheet and hand towel are provided per person. Complimentary White Company toiletries are also provided in each bathroom.
Two bay style balconies can be accessed via two steps up from the living area and kitchen. 180 degree panoramic sea views take in pretty much the whole of St Ives, from Porthmeor to the Island, the harbour to Porthminster beach and then St Ives bay beyond. This truly is a very special view. Two chairs and a small table are provided, perfect for enjoying a morning cuppa or a sun downer glass of wine.

Tate Reach is a magnificent, granite faced, detached house positioned just behind the Tate St Ives and Porthmeor beach. The names of both of the apartments were inspired by two famous artists who had great connections with St Ives.
Whistler is named after the famous American born, British based artist ‘James Whistler’ who visited St Ives in April-May 1884 and stayed in nearby Barnoon Terrace. Wallis is of course named after the well renowned local naïve artist ‘Alfred Wallis’, who’s progressive work, was appreciated by other St Ives artist colony greats such as Ben Nicholson and Kit Wood.

In order to make a booking, please either click on the Booking Calendar dates or enter your Arrive and Depart dates of your holiday, please bear in mind these should be a Changeover Day during April to October or in any school holiday period, unless at late notice.
For late notice breaks ie arrivals within 7 days, all breaks are discounted by 25% unless the owner has set a minimum rental, the dates can overlap a changeover day if the Arrive Date is within 7 days.
Short stays of 3 nights minimum are available between October and March, excluding bank holidays and school holidays. If booked in advance, the short break cannot overlap a changeover day.
