1. National Trust and Cadbury Easter Egg Hunts

The National Trust has once again teamed up with Cadbury to bring their wonderfully fun Easter egg hunts to National Trust sites across Cornwall. 

The egg hunts are a great way to keep kids engaged and entertained throughout a walk around the grounds of some of Cornwall’s most stunning historic houses and gardens. Children are invited to follow clues, solve puzzles and spot the first signs of spring as they make their way through the great Cornish outdoors

And an egg hunt wouldn’t be complete without an egg! The little explorers will be treated to a Cadbury’s egg on completion of their hunts. 

Time and Date: 

The Easter Egg hunts run from the 28th March to 13th April 2020 across various National Trust sites. Egg hunts start from between 10.00 and 11.00 and go on throughout the day until 16.00

Location: 

The National Trust and Cadbury Easter Egg hunts are taking place at various National Trust properties across Cornwall including, Trerice, Trelissick, Trengwainton, Cotehele and Glendurgan.

Price: 

Cost of admission to the National Trust property plus an additional £2 to £3 per child to take part in the Easter Egg hunt. 

2. Cornish Pisky Pal trail at Roskilly’s

For something a little more unusual at Easter, head to Roskilly’s dairy farm this April. Famed for their delicious ice cream and traditional Cornish clotted cream, Roskilly’s are hosting a family-friendly Pisky Pal trail around the farm. 

Head towards St Keverne and have fun finding all the Cornish Pisky Pals hiding around the farm. Children will receive a Cornish Pisky Pal sticker for each returned Pisky Trail sheet and will be entered into a draw to win a mystery prize.

After finishing the magical Pisky Pal trail, be sure to treat the family to a delicious Roskilly’s Cornish dairy ice cream, you don’t want to miss out on this true taste of Cornwall.

3. Rogue Theatre’s Wild Spring Hare

Rogue theatre is back this Easter with a hare-raising spectacular this April. 

Head into the woods with the fantastic theatre company for an immersive experience that takes the whole family on a spellbinding journey through a ‘collection of tales of a quest for life’s hidden treasures’. 

Lose yourself in the stories as you follow the Hare on a journey to the Woodland King as he waits at the heart of the woods with more tales and maybe some chocolate!

Time and Date:

Performances take place on the 3rd, 4th, 5th April 2020 and the 7th to 13th April 2020 inclusive. 

Shows take place at 13.00, 15.30 and 18.00 each day.

Children under 4go free, but you’ll still need to book a free ticket for them. Tickets for visitors 4 years and older cost £9.50, affordability discounts are available upon request and cost £7.50. 

4. Easter at the Eden Project

Renowned for their fantastic family-friendly activities and events, Eden never disappoints and they certainly have outdone themselves this Easter. 

With indoor and outdoor games for all ages, everyone is sure to feel the fun this Easter at Eden. There’s plenty of activities to take part in throughout the beautiful biomes and magical setting of the Eden Project. 

Children can expect to learn how to build birds nests and learn to hop, romp and gambol in the wildlife playground. Plus, there’s a springtime trail around the site to follow, and, of course, a tasty treat waiting at the end.

Easter at Eden activities run from 28th March to 19th April 2020, timings for specific activities to be announced.

5. The Easter Golden Egg Challenge at Paradise Park

There’s tons of cracking fun to be had at Paradise Park this Easter. 

Families can take part in the Easter Golden Egg Challenge; a tricky quiz with a yummy prize for successful quizzers! 

And, kids can become Paradise Park Wildlife Heroes when they complete the nature and environment trail. Follow a map throughout the park, answering questions as you go to earn an exclusive Wildlife Hero badge.

The Golden Easter Egg Challenge at Paradise Park runs throughout the day from 28th March to 19th April 2020.

6. Eggs-plosive Easter Fun at Flambards

Easter gets off with a bang this April at Flambards theme park! 

Brilliant brainiacs and curious wannabe chemists will be treated to performances of mind-blowing chemical reactions in the indoor laboratory. This egg-citing Easter activity combines rocket science, chemistry and myth-busting tests performed by experienced scientists. 

Your mini mad-professors in the making will be able to don their lab coats and goggles to get in on the experiment action throughout the Easter holidays.

Budding brainiacs can test their science skills from 28th March to 19th April. Eggs-plosive 30 minute shows will take place daily at 13.00 and 15.00.

Looking for easter eggs

7. Ferdi’s BIG Easter Egg Hunt at Flambards

As well as all the eggs-plosive Easter experiments at Flambards this April, there’s also a fantastically fun egg hunt. 

On Easter Sunday join Ferdi, Flambards’s iconic foxy mascot, on his BIG Easter egg hunt across the park. 

Families can pick up the special Easter themed quiz before heading around the theme park looking for hidden clues. Complete the quiz to win a chocolatey prize. 

Time and Date:

Throughout the day on Sunday 12th April, families can take part in Ferdi’s BIG Easter Egg hunt.

Flambards Theme Park, Helston.

8. Eggstreme Easter Egg Trail at Newquay Zoo

There’s tons of Easter fun for all the family to be had at Newquay Zoo this Easter!

Kids can complete a wild Easter Egg Trail throughout the zoo to win a scrummy chocolate treat. And there’s face painting in The Barn where your little ones can let out their inner little animals!

As well as all this, there are daily talks from the zoo’s keepers and feeding sessions with the animals throughout the day to keep your wild ones entertained.

From 28th March to 13th April 2020, trails can be completed throughout your visit to the zoo.

9. Rockpool Exploring at St Michael’s Mount

For a unique Easter activity in Cornwall, head to St Michael’s Mount.

There you’ll find the Great Scott! Adventures Outdoors team waiting to take you on an underwater exploration.  

Uncover the world of bodybuilder crabs, eelgrass and chameleon prawns all lurking beneath the surface of the St Michael’s Mount causeway. 

There’s no booking necessary for this wonderful family activity, simply drop in at the start time to get in on the rockpooling action! Be sure to wear sensible shoes though as the rocks can be slippy, Great Scott! advise old trainers or rockpooling shoes and children must be accompanied at all times.

Rockpool Explorations take place on Monday 6th April 2020, from 10.00 to 12.00 and Wednesday 8th April 2020 from 11.00 to 13.00.

10. Bird Feeder Building at St Michael’s Mount

Bring in spring with Great Scott! Adventures Outdoors bird-tastic Easter activities. 

Head over to the castle on St Michael’s Mount to take part in a number of family-friendly workshops where your little ones can build their own willow bird feeder and make their own birds nests. 

As well as all this, children can learn more about Cornwall’s native birds, take the feather trail challenge and plant their own sunflowers!
