The spacious lounge has a large bay window that provides spectacular panoramic views over St Ives Bay. A bistro table and two stools are perfectly positioned in the bay window for enjoying these views whilst you dine.
Two large three seater sofas provide comfortable seating to enjoy the views and entertainment, which includes a 50” LCD Smart TV with Sky, Netflix and DVD player, Playstation 2 with a selection of games and a variety of books and board games.
A collection of DVD’s and CD’s can also be found in the guest library in the dining room.
Like all the other rooms of Bay View, the lounge is accessed via the spacious hall that has been tastefully finished with Mediterranean coloured stone floor tiles. These blend in beautifully with the deliberate Mediterranean design of the Compass Point complex. There is a coat cupboard in the hall with umbrellas that can be borrowed on rainy days!
The separate dining room provides a peaceful place for eating with sea glimpses from it’s window. An oak table with four matching chairs can be found, along with a booster seat for younger guests. There is a library with books, DVD’s, Playstation games and CD’s for guests to use, as well as local information and maps to help plan your stay.
There is a large Tesco’s only a mile away for those that wish to self cater. The Carbis Bay and St Ives area has an excellent reputation for fine dining in its numerous restaurants. Of particular interest is the nearby Carbis Bay Hotel, where you can enjoy a traditional Cornish cream tea, amongst other foods in the delightful ambience of its large conservatory that overlooks St Ives Bay.
